"Tesis desain ini menggunakan pendekatan kolase untuk mencapai arsitektur berbasis representasi. Ide dari tesis ini berangkat dari melihat bagaimana sebuah gambar kolase hadir sebagai suatu kesatuan representasi yang utuh dengan menggabungkan bagian-bagian kecil untuk membentuk narasi dan menghilangkan makna asli dari setiap bagian sebelum dilakukan penggabungan gambar. Untuk melihat bagaimana kolase dapat membentuk narasi, dilakukan proses analisis pembongkaran kolase untuk melihat detail yang ada didalamnya, proses ini kemudian digunakan sebagai metode untuk membongkar narasi yang terdapat dibalik sebuah representasi. Dari hasil analisis tersebut ditemukan bahwa terdapat empat tahap utama dalam melakukan teknik kolase yaitu, menentukan part, menentukan skala dari masing-masing bagian, melakukan proses layering, dan menentukan fokus pada image akhir. Temuan metode ini digunakan untuk membaca fasad bangunan untuk melihat narasi dari bagian bangunan tersebut, dan kemudian mekanisme ini dijadikan metode perancangan untuk dapat membentuk sebuah representasi narasi arsitektur.

This thesis design uses collage methods as an approach to achieve representation-based architecture. The idea of this thesis comes from seeing how a collage image presents itself as a whole representation by combining small parts to form a narrative and removing the original meaning of each part before it is combined to each other. To see how a collage can form a narrative, a process of analyzing the collage's dismantle is to be carried out to see the details that exist in it. This process is then used as a method to break down the narrative that exists behind a representation. From the results of the analysis, it was found that there are four main stages in performing the collage technique: determining parts, determining the scale of each part, performing the layering process, and determining the focus of the final image. The findings of this method are used to read the building facade to see the narrative of the building, and then this mechanism is used as a design method to be able to form a representation of the architectural narration."

"Sejak kemunculan aplikasi photo-sharing Instagram, masyarakat terlihat semakin gemar memotret dan merekam apapun yang terjadi di sekitar mereka. Hal-hal yang dapat menjadi objek foto pun sangat beragam, mulai dari kegiatan sehari-hari sampai objek-objek yang terlihat sangat instagrammable, atau layak untuk diunggah ke Instagram karena memenuhi standar estetika tertentu. Salah satu objek yang tampaknya telah dianggap sebagai objek foto yang instagrammable adalah arsitektur. Namun, foto-foto arsitektur yang ada di Instagram hanyalah adalah representasi yang instagrammable dari sebuah arsitektur. Padahal, arsitektur tidak hanya dibentuk oleh elemen-elemen yang terlihat, tapi juga oleh aspek-aspek spasial yang tidak kasat mata.Tulisan ini membahas bagaimana arsitektur dapat dikatakan sebagai objek foto yang instagrammable, juga sejauh apa foto arsitektur yang instagrammable dapat merepresentasikan dan menyampaikan makna dari arsitektur yang difoto. Sebuah foto yang instagrammable bisa jadi bukanlah media yang paling tepat untuk merepresentasikan arsitektur karena lebih menekankan pada estetika visual dibandingkan menyampaikan makna dari arsitektur itu sendiri.

Since Instagram launched several years ago, society seems to be more eager to take photos and record everything they do or see and share them online through the famous photo sharing application. There are a lot of things that are considered to be instagrammable photo objects. The term instagrammable is used to identify photos that are worthy enough to be posted on Instagram. Meanwhile, architecture seems to already be considered as one of those instagrammable objects. However, the architecture we see on Instagram is only the instagrammable representation of it, not the real one. Architecture is supposed to be formed not only by tangible elements, but also the intangible spatial aspects.

This paper discusses how architecture is interpreted to be instagrammable, then to what extent an instagrammable architectural photograph can represent the meaning of architecture itself. An instagrammable photo, despite of having high aesthetic level, is probably not the best media to deliver architectural meanings."

"ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan pelaksanaan penataan dan penyimpanan arsip gambar teknik di Pusat Arsip PTAngkasa Pura II Persero . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif berbentuk studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kegiatan penataan dan penyimpanan arsip gambar teknik yang telah dilakukan oleh Pusat Arsip dan Unit Kerja Teknik Sipil di PT Angkasa Pura II Persero belum sesuai dengan pedoman dan standar yang berlaku. Oleh karena itu, penataan dan penyimpanan arsip gambar tidak berjalan secara optimal sehingga menghambat proses temu kembali arsip gambar teknik saat dibutuhkan. Kurangnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai pengelolaan arsip gambar teknik yang dihadapi oleh petugas arsip maupun karyawan unit kerja teknik sipil membuat permasalahan ini tidak segera terselesaikan. Pusat Arsip sebagai unit kearsipan di PT Angkasa Pura II harus segera melakukan perbaikan terhadap manajemen kearsipan secara menyeluruh termasuk arsip gambar teknik agar tidak terhambatnya kegiatan bisnis yang dilakukan perusahaan.

ABSTRAKThe purpose of this research is to describe implementation of the arrangement and storage of architectural archives in PT Angkasa Pura II Persero Record Center. This study uses a descriptive research method in the form of a case study with qualitative approach. Researchers used data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of this study indicate that the arrangement and storage of architectural archives carried out by the Record Center and the Civil Engineering Unit at PT Angkasa Pura II Persero is not in accordance with the guidelines and the applicable standards. Therefore, the arrangement and storage of the archives are not sorted optimally, thus inhibiting the process of retrieving the architectural archives when required. Due to the lack of knowledge and understanding of managing the architectural archives, the complications encountered by archival officers and employees of the civil engineering work unit have not been promptly resolved. The Record Center, as the archive unit in PT Angkasa Pura II, should immediately make improvements to the archive management as a whole, including the architectural archives so as not to hinder business activities undertaken by the company."
