"This paper presents application of various Soft-computing control strategies for offline control of one wheel mobile robot (OWMR). The techniques considered for controlling were Fuzzy logic reasoning, Adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS), and Neural networks (NNs). The study compares the performance of proposed techniques in terms of settling time, maximum overshoot, and steady state error. A Matlab-Simulink model of OWMR system has also been developed. The results obtained from simulation of fuzzy controller were used to train ANFIS and NNs controller. The simulation results showed better performance and learning ability of ANFIS controller compared to other two controllers. The results are shown with the help of graphs and tables to validate the proposed study."

"This book presents solutions to the problems arising in two trends in mobile computing and their intersection: increased mobile traffic driven mainly by sophisticated smart phone applications; and the issue of user demand for lighter phones, which cause more battery power constrained handhelds to offload computations to resource intensive clouds (the second trend exacerbating the bandwidth crunch often experienced over wireless networks). The authors posit a new solution called spectrum aware cognitive mobile computing, which uses dynamic spectrum access and management concepts from wireless networking to offer overall optimized computation offloading and scheduling solutions that achieve optimal trade-offs between the mobile device and wireless resources. They show how in order to allow these competing goals to meet in the middle, and to meet the promise of 5G mobile computing, it is essential to consider mobile offloading holistically, from end to end and use the power of multi-radio access technologies that have been recently developed. Technologies covered in this book have applications to mobile computing, edge computing, fog computing, vehicular communications, mobile healthcare, mobile application developments such as augmented reality, and virtual reality.

"Data replication by employing quorum systems is an important concept to improve operation availability on data objects in distributed systems that have strong data consistency demands. These data replication schemes must be modeled and carefully evaluated with respect to different quality measures. Christian Storm addresses the former by a uniform data replication scheme specification method and realizes the latter by a comprehensive approach to the analytical evaluation of quorum-based data replication schemes. The system model allows to evaluate operation availability and other quality measures for the write as well as for the read operation.

ABSTRAK
Rancangan suatu Sistem Instrumentasi Penyimpul Fuzzy (SIPF) digital 64 bit untuk mengolah algoritma penyimpul fuzzy (Fuzzy Inference). Suatu sistem fuzzy yang terdiri dari SIPF dan mikroprosesor 32 bit memiliki kecepatan proses penyimpulan lebih tinggi bila dibandingkan dengan sistem yang hanya mengimplementasi perangkat lunak saja.. SIPF hanya digunakan untuk mengambil kesimpulan, sementara proses fuzzifikasi serta defuzzifikasi dilakukan oleh mikroprosesor sendiri yang juga mengendalikan SIPF. Disamping SIPF, algoritma penyimpulan yang teroptimasi juga dapat meningkatkan akselerasi pengkalkulasian aturan dasar (rule base).
Pada Skripsi ini dilakukan perancangan serta peralcitan Sistem Instrumentasi Penyimpul Fuzzy, dengan menggunakan komponen-komponen murah dan sederhana serta mudah didapat. Hasil utama yang didapat adalah suatu rancangan dari sistem instrumentasi yang berfungsi sebagai alat bantu kalkulasi aturan fuzzy paralel yang kerjanya dikendalikan oleh mikroprosesor induk.
