"How should we understand transgenderism, especially as it affects children and adolescents? Psychiatric manuals include transgenderism among mental illnesses (Gender Identity Disorder). Such inclusion is relatively recent, and even the words transsexual and transgender were coined only a few decades ago. Yet stories of children with an in-between gender have always been, albeit symbolically, a part of popular culture. Drawing on fairy tales, as well as from personal narratives and clinical studies, this book explains how "Gender Identity Disorder" manifests in children, critically evaluating various clinical approaches and examining the ethical and legal issues surrounding the care and treatment of these youths. "This book is a legal and political intervention into a contemporary debate concerning the appropriateness of sexual offence prosecutions brought against young gender non-conforming people for so-called 'gender identity fraud'. It comes down squarely against prosecution. To that end, it offers a series of principled objections based both on liberal principles, and arguments derived from queer and feminist theories. Thus prosecution will be challenged as criminal law overreach and as a spectacular example of legal inconsistency, but also as indicative of a failure to grasp the complexity of sexual desire and its disavowal. In particular, the book will think through the concepts of consent, harm and deception and their legal application to these specific forms of intimacy. In doing so, it will reveal how cisnormativity frames the legal interpretation of each and how this serves to preclude more marginal perspectives. Kerangka binerian di dalam gender membuat pemaknaan perempuan dan laki ? laki seakan memiliki stabilitas yang inheren. Stabilitas pemaknaan atas diri perempuan ini dirujuk pada fakta biologisnya belaka. Determinisme biologis merupakan landasan untuk memaknai dan menguniversalkan perempuan. Perempuan dipandang sebagai pemaknaan pra-kultural. Stabilitas makna perempuan menjadi sarana penindasan perempuan. Ketika pemaknaan sudah dibatasi maka runag- ruang kebebasan dan reflekis diri perempuan sebagai subjek telah direduksi. Identitas sex dan gender merupakan pemaknaan yang dihasilkan oleh sebuah diskursus, dengan demikian ia tidak bersifat stabil melainkan instabil. Dekonstruksi atas makna perempuan adalah suatu hal yang sangat memungkinkan.

Identity of women become a cornerstone to how a person should be seen, be narrated, and be treated. The binaries structure in gender studies makes the meaning between the women and the men such have the inherent stability. The stability is only due to the fact about the biologist factor of the women. Biologist determinism is the basic to interpret the women and make themselves become universal. The women are being viewed as a pre-cultural meaning. The stability make the women become a tool to oppression. When the meaning has been confined, the space to be free and the self-reflection of women as a subject has been reduced. The identity of sex and gender is the meaning that produced by a discourse, so it becomes unstable. The deconstruction of the women?s meaning is a possible to do."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat Ethical Identity Index (EII) sembilan bank syariah di Indonesia pada tahun 2010 sampai dengan tahun 2011. Penelitian ini menggunakan Ethical Identity Index (EII) yang dikomunikasikan pada laporan tahunan bank syariah. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif menggunakan metode analisis konten yang diungkapkan pada laporan tahunan bank syariah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan identitas etika yang diungkapkan oleh perbankan syariah dari tahun 2010 ke tahun 2011.

This research is aimed to give an overview of Ethical Identity Index of nine Islamic Bank in Indonesia during period 2010 until 2011. This research has used the Ethical Identity Index (EII) reported in the annual report of Islamic Bank. This research is categorized as descriptive study in which perform content analysis of the annual report of Islamic Bank. The result shown indicates that there is an increase in ethical identity disclosed by Islamic Bank from 2010 until 2011."
