The thought of Women were in all ways subordinate to men, is a factor which prevented Japanese society to respect women. Women was being stereotype as weak, ill-nature and more. These kind of stereotype makes Japanese women tried to break such construction. Women in Japanese Society as recorded in history of Japan, have been influential both on the household and behind the scenes, their roles are only as a house wives, widows, prostitute, mother, and daughter. It is said that women has been excluded from war, government, and education. On the other party, men has been always on the first line, doing a great deals of responsibility and being in charge of managing a country.
As a result, women has been isolated from history and being considered as unimportant things. Even so studies reveals there are female role in samurai warfare. Their story used to be hidden and long forgotten, but the exploits of famous female warriors such as Tomoe Gozen and Myorin-ni, uncovering several womens who defended castles and fighting the imperial forces became the most famous female samurai warriors in the whole of Japanese history and widely known all over the world for their bravery and intelligence.
