"Skripsi ini membahas tentang penerjemahan kata think dalam novel Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone karya J.K. Rowling ke dalam bahasa Jepang yaitu 「ハリーポ ッターと賢者の石. Menurut kamus pada umumnya, kata think dalam bahasa Jepang secara garis besar dapat diartikan menjadi 「考える」kangaeru dan 「思う」 omou. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya, muncul kata lain selain kangaeru dan omou yang digunakan dalam menerjemahkan kata think. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menemukan bahwa selain penerjemahan dengan morfem bebas secara leksikal, penerjemahan dengan morfem bebas, morfem terikat, serta gabungan keduanya secara situasional juga dilakukan oleh penerjemah dalam menerjemahkan kata think. Morfem bebas yang digunakan dalam penerjemahan antara lain morfem yang termasuk dalam kelas kata verba 「動詞」dan adverbia「副詞」. Sedangkan morfem terikat yang digunakan antara lain adalah morfem dari kelas kata verba bantu 「助動詞」 dan partikel akhir 「終助詞」. Selain itu terdapat pula beberapa penerjemahan yang termasuk ke dalam kategori penerjemahan nol atau pelesapan. Dengan penelitian ini diharapkan pembelajar bahasa Jepang dapat menggunakan hasil penelitian ini sebagai bahan pertimbangan ketika menerjemahkan dari bahasa Inggris ke dalam bahasa Jepang.

This study focused on the translation of the word think in Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone by J.K Rowling into Japanese version 「ハリーポッターと賢者 の石」. According to dictionaries in general, think is equivalent to the word「考える」 kangaeru and 「思う」 omou. However, in the process of translation, other words are also used to express the word think in Japanese. The result of this study is, not only the lexically equivalent independent morphemes are used in translation, but also the attached morphemes (adjunct) or combination of both can be used to translate the word think as long as they are circumstantially equivalent. The usable independent morphemes are categorized as verbs 「動詞」and adverbs 「副詞」, while the adjunct that can be used includes auxiliary verbs 「助動詞」and final particles 「終助詞」. Last but not least, there are some translations that are categorized as "zero translations" as they were called omissions. From these results, those who are studying Japanese are expected to use this works as a consideration for translating from English to Japanese."

"Perubahan judul buku merupakan hal yang awam dilakukan oleh penerbit dalam industri penerbitan buku. Rowling sebagai pengarang untuk perubahan judul buku. Dengan adanya persetujuan dari J.K. Rowling, maka hak moral dari J.K. Rowling tidak dilanggar oleh Scholastic Inc.

If the publisher feels that the book title is not in accordance with public rsquo s interest, publisher through the editor, can suggest the change of book title to the author. The change of book title has to make sure that it does not violate the copyright law. Author rsquo s approvoval is needed so the violation of copyright law does not happen, especially the author rsquo s moral right. The case on title change of Harry Potter and the Philosopher rsquo s Stone by Scholastic Inc. did not violate the copyright law because Scholastic Inc. had already asked for J.K. Rowling rsquo s approval as the book author. By means of J.K. Rowling rsquo s approval, Scholastic Inc. did not violate her moral right as an Author. "

"Tesis ini membahas isu posisi dan dominasi kuasa sekolah berasrama dalam novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone karya Joanne Kathleen Rowling yang berkebangsaan Inggris. Dengan menggunakan konsep habitus, kapital dan arena Pierre Bourdieu, analisis menunjukkan bahwa dua dari empat ideologi asrama saling bertolak belakang, yaitu ideologi asrama Gryfffindor dan Slytherin. Dengan demikian, persaingan dan pertarungan tidak dapat dihindari antara kelompok habitus humanis yang multikultural (asrama Gryffindor) dan kelompok habitus eksklusif (asrama Slytherin).Tujuan dinamika persaingan yang dihadirkan Rowling di dalam arena sekolah adalah terciptanya kuasa di ruang sosial, khususnya ruang sekolah yang humanis tanpa membedakan strata dan kelas sosial. Oleh karena itu, kepemilikan ragam potensi, kualitas serta nilai-nilai setiap individu menjadi prioritas utama untuk mencapai kedudukan kuasa di sebuah ruang sosial.

This thesis discuss the position and power domination issue of boarding school in a novel of Harry Potter and the philosopher's Stone by Joanne Kathleen Rowling from England. By applying habitus, capital and champ concept of Pierre Bourdieu, its analysis shows that two of four houses ideology are competed. They are Gryffindor house and Slytherin house. Hence, competition and conflict between humanity in multicultural house (habitus of Gryffindor house) and exclusive house (habitus of Slytherin house) are not able to be eluded.

The goal of its dynamics which is written by Rowling in school "champ" discussion, is gaining the power of non discriminative condition in social field. Therefore, capitals, quality, also character in hexis of the people become priorities to gain the power in a social field."

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai perbandingan penokohan protagonis yakni Tania Grotter dalam karya sastra populer Rusia, Таня Гроттер и Магический контрабас karya Dmitrii Emets dan Harry Potter dalam karya sastra asal Inggris, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone karya J. K. Rowling. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitis yang kemudian dikaitkan dengan teori heroisme yang diutarakan oleh Franco Zimbardo 2006 dan dikuatkan oleh pendapat Kohen 2013 . Hasil analisis yang menerapkan teori heroisme memperlihatkan bahwa dalam penokohannya, kedua protagonis berhasil merepresentasikan aspek-aspek kepahlawanan melalui peristiwa, ucapan, sikap maupun tindakan. Selain itu, bandingan representasi heroisme dalam sosok Tania Grotter dan Harry Potter dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan dan persamaan penokohannya.

This research discusses about comparison on protagonist characterization of Tania Grotter from Russian popular literary works, Таня Гроттер и Магический контрабас by Dmitrii Emets and Harry Potter of British novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J. K. Rowling. This research is done by using analytical-descriptive method, then tied and combined with theories on heroism from Franco and Zimbardo 2006 which is supported by Kohen 2013 . The analyses result applying heroism theories shows that both protagonists manage to represent heroism traits and aspects through events, speeches, gestures, and actions. Also, the comparison on heroism representation in Tania Grotter and Harry Potter is affected by the differences and similarities in their characterization."
