pariwisata halal.

The purpose of this research is to take a look at halal tourism phenomenon, a touristy consistent with Islamic teachings. This phenomenon is seen in many countries in the world, including Indonesia where majority of its people are Moslem. Previous research shows that halal tourism arise to meet Moslem people’s needs on halal experience options, especially middle and upper class people. Industry response well to this and grab this as an economic opportunity. DKI Jakarta has been one of the provinces selected as halal tourism destination because it has sufficient assets and its own uniqueness than other provinces. Different than previous studies, this research argues that halal tourism phenomenon in Jakarta is not only because to meet Moslems needs and as an economic opportunity for industry players, but also because there is a further cultural commodification by halal tourism industry players. Industry players benefits from Islamic culture through halal tourism industry sector to achieve maximum gain. In the end, cultural reproduction and pseudo-needs were created to form a new identity and status symbol. Values, attributes, symbol, ideas, and object from Islamic teachings were process and formed becoming a commodity in business through halal tourism industry"

ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the priority problems, solutions, and strategies in
optimizing productive waqf for halal tourism development in DKI Jakarta. Analytic
Network Process (ANP) method is used in this research. This study involved waqf
and halal tourism experts to formulate these priorities in terms of regulators,
practitioners and academics. The results showed that the priority problem from the
regulator aspect is the implementation of the rules, the community aspect is the
social impact, and the practitioner aspect is the waqf institution. Whereas the priority
of the solution is standardization (regulator), economic impact (community), and
nazir training (practitioners). The priority strategies that need to be carried out in a
row are certification (nazir certification), synergy (cooperation between Indonesian
Waqf Board and waqf institutions in other countries) and promotion (increasing
literacy of productive waqf for halal tourism). Research shows that there is still a
need for regulations that specifically encourage the optimization of productive waqf,
cross-sectoral cooperation, adequate standardization and governance of waqf
institutions as well as increased literacy of productive waqf and halal tourism in all
walks of life.
