"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menemukan ranah sumber, menjelaskan kekerapan penggunaan ranah sumber, mengungkapkan perubahan penggunaan dan pergeseran ranah sumber, serta menyelidiki kondisi sosial yang mendasari metafora-metafora yang digunakan Kompas untuk mendeskripsikan sepakbola dalam pemberitaan Piala Dunia 1966-2014. Dalam penelitian ini, Teori Metafora Konseptual Lakoff dan Johnson 1980 diterapkan melalui metodologi linguistik korpus. Antara periode 1966-2014, ditemukan total 60 ranah sumber yang digunakan, tetapi hanya delapan yang menunjukkan tingkat kekerapan tertinggi, yakni PEPERANGAN, POLITIK INTERNASIONAL, PERMAINAN, KESENIAN, PERIODE WAKTU, SEJARAH, GERAK ROTASI, dan pemerintahan yang berkaitan dengan hegemoni maskulinitas dalam masyarakat. Penggunaan tiap ranah bersifat fluktuatif, dan pergeseran ranah hanya fenomena minor.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to find the source domains of soccer metaphors used in Kompas rsquo coverage of World Cup 1966 2014, describe the frequency of its use, examine the phenomenon of domain change, and investigate the social background these metaphors are based from. Lakoff and Johnson rsquo s Conceptual Metaphor Theory 1980 are combined with corpus linguistics. Eight source domains from 60 domains found are the most frequently used, namely WAR, INTERNATIONAL POLITICS, GAMES, ART, TIME PERIOD, HISTORY, ROTATIONAL MOTION, and GOVERNMENT which relates to hegemonic masculinity in the society. All domains are fluctuative in use, and domain shift is considered a minor phenomenon."

"Tesis ini membahas konseptualisasi metafora emosi dalam rubrik konsultasi majalah mingguan wanita Femina. Masalah yang diketengahkan dalam tesis ini adalah pengungkapan verbal emosi dalam rubrik konsultasi majalah Femina yang berbentuk metafora, serta pengaruh latar belakang masyarakat bahasa Indonesia terhadap konsep metafora emosi bahasa Indonesia. Tujuan penulisan tesis ini untuk mengungkapkan konseptualisasi metaforis emosi dalam bahasa Indonesia dan menunjukkan pengaruh latar belakang budaya penutur dalam pembentukan metafora emosi bahasa Indonesia, apakah bersifat universal atau bersifat khas? Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua majas digunakan untuk ungkapan emosi. Pembentukan metafora emosi menunjukkan konsep yang bersifat universal.

"ABSTRAKTesis ini membahas mengenai perbedaan klasifikasi semantis tanaman padi antaraklasifikasi masyarakat di Desa Lelea dan klasifikasi ilmiah dalam ilmu botani.Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah mengungkapkan taksonomimasyarakat Desa Lelea terhadap padi melalui kosakata tanaman padi di DesaLelea serta memaparkan perbedaan semantis antara klasifikasi ilmiah danklasifikasi masyarakat Desa Lelea. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatifdengan strategi studi kasus. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperolehdari hasil wawancara dengan petani Desa Lelea sebagai informan utama danpeneliti tanaman padi serta data tertulis dari Balai Besar Penelitian Tanaman Padisebagai pembanding. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teorimengenai taksonomi masyarakat yang dikemukakan oleh Berlin (1973). Hasilpenelitian ini berupa perbedaan jenjang dalam bagan taksonomi masyarakat dantaksonomi ilmiah serta perbedaan klasifikasi semantis tanaman padi antaramasyarakat dan ilmu botani. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sumbangan untukkamus, baik kamus bahasa daerah maupun kamus istilah pertanian serta dijadikanprototipe untuk pengembangan penelitian sejenis yang mengaitkan tumbuhandengan bidang botani.

ABSTRACTThis thesis observes the difference of paddy semantic classification between LeleaVillage folk classification and scientific classification in botany. The objectives ofthe research are revealing Lelea Village taxonomy towards paddy through paddyvocabulary in Lelea Village and explaining the semantics difference betweenscientific classification and Lelea Village folk classification. This is a qualitativeresearch with case study as a strategy. The data used is obtained from interviewwith the farmers of Lelea Village as the main informan, the paddy researcher, andwritten data from Balai Besar Penelitian Tanaman Padi as a comparison. Thisresearch uses a folk taxonomy theory which is stated by Berlin (1973). Thefindings of this research is a level difference in folk taxonomy chart, scientifictaxonomy, and the difference of paddy semantic classification between thecommunity and the botany experts. This research is expected to be a philanthropyfor dictionary, both in local language, agriculture terms dictionary and can bemade as prototype for similar research development which connecting crops withbotanical field."
