This study focuses on designing an integrated Halal supply chain model for chicken food products that encompasses the entire supply chain process, starting from the sourcing of ingredients required for chicken food products and extending to the final distribution of the products to end consumers. The aim is to ensure that the entire supply chain follows Halal standards, from sourcing ingredients to distributing the final product. By using a dynamic system approach, the model considers the dynamic nature of the supply chain, including factors like demand changes and inventory levels. A case study on chicken food products validates the effectiveness of the model. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating Halal requirements at each stage according to halal assurance policy in Indonesia."

Blockchain is one of alternative solution that can improve the performance of the Halal Supply Chain. This is due to Blockchain's ability to tackle all the issue in the Halal Supply Chain such as contamination of halal product and disobedience of halal process for all parties in the Chain, including end customers. The type of technology suitable for this case is Permissioned Blockchain, where administrators can determine the rights of each Halal Supply Chain participant category. The determination of these rights must be done by consensus so that no one feels aggrieved. This study uses a Blockchain Network with three channels and uses raft consensus algorithm in designing web interfaces and testing their capabilities. From the web interface, there were no failures in the validity test during the invoke test and the query test. In addition, the web interface was also successfully tested to thwart the formation of a block in case of data input errors from the user. The server also can do the process as a provider of information and validator for the web interface. From the results of simulations conducted on the Blockchain Network that was made, Blockchain's transaction speed is fast and all the transaction is successfully transferred to other peers. Thus, Permissioned Blockchain is useful for Halal Supply Chain not just because it can secure transaction from some of halal issues, but the transaction speed and rate to transfer data is very effective."

ABSTRACT
Logistics plays an important role in maintaining the supply of fresh food throughout the world. Types of food products have different uniqueness based on the type of food products such as agrifood (Akhtar, et al., 2016) and beef products (King, et al., 2014). There are risks in the flow of food products in the supply chain that can be contaminated from various aspects, such as raw materials, raw materials for industrial processes, food storage and distribution (Nerin, et al., 2016). The halal food sector will grow around 18.3% of global food spending to 1,914 billion USD in 2021 (Reuters and Standards 2016). Indonesia has a population of 255 million people where 87.2 percent are Muslim, representing the largest Muslim population in the world (Hefner, 2017). Halal supply chain management as an activity that controls and manages the flow of material, information and capital; through strategic coordination and collaboration in such a way that Halal and Toyyib are expanded from farm-to-forks (Khan et al., 2018). In practice there is a risk of contamination from halal food products in the halal supply chain. Risko identification and mitigation are still done separately (not integrated) in each halal supply chain stream. The risk of contamination will affect the safety and quality of halal food products. These risks should be integrated with each other so that they can manage risks properly. This study aims to develop a risk analysis and priority model and develop a risk mitigation strategy from halal supply chain activities in the beef industry, especially at the upstream level, from the cattle farm, slaughtering process, storage, distribution and retail. 40 risks have been identified in the halal supply chain and risk prioritization has been carried out which will be the basis for the preparation of criteria. There are 27 priority risks which are the basis for making the assessment criteria so that 34 criteria for halal supply chain management are obtained at the upstream level. The method used in conducting this research is a semi-quantitative method which uses the D-ANP Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach."

"The sustainability of agri-food supply chains is particularly relevant for global sustainable development. Many existing food production systems do more harm than good. They compromise the natural rhythms of the Earth, introduce toxins, and therefore sacrifice future capability for current demands the opposite of sustainable development norms. The existing system is also unbalanced with respect to its capacity to produce, the amount of waste it generates, the number of people who suffer from hunger, and the nutritional value it provides. Most of the current supply chains have been developed within the classic economic paradigm, where scale and leverage drive choices towards more profitable models. As a consequence, finding new ways to produce, distribute and consume food is a morale, financial, and environmental necessity. Sustainable development and triple bottom line perspectives provide the logic for questioning this paradigm. This book presents and discusses nine cases of organizational innovation in food supply chain, covering different phases of food production, facing different challenges, and proposing different solutions to the challenge of sustainable food development."

The opportunity to reinstate the glory of the Indonesian chocolate industry at the world level is widely open due to the growth of the artisanal chocolate industry, which is well-positioned to move the chocolate industry in the direction of improved environmentally conscious production practices and higher-quality products comparing the commodity chocolate industry has been long recognized for unsustainable. The artisanal chocolate industry encourages cocoa farmers to earn higher incomes by fulfilling quality standards. The government has started to pay more attention and promote the artisanal chocolate industry sector to develop in the future. This study developed a policy multi-actor model based on a system dynamics approach by considering sustainability aspects along the agri-food supply chain by integrating environmental performance through a life cycle assessment approach. The simulation results of this model showed the mutual influence between the three aspects of sustainability, namely economic, environmental, and social, by examining three scenarios that are expected to meet the three sustainability principles: economic prosperity, environmental sustainability, and social welfare. The simulation also shows that although there are opportunities to increase welfare, sustainability is difficult to achieve without additional support and incentives for farmers. In addition, our policy model can be used as a decision-support tool, specifically in the chocolate industry and for similar artisan food and agriculture sectors that mostly have a similar supply chain."

ABSTRACT
Meat consumption is expected to increase in the next decade globally. Most of the ingredients of food products in Indonesia are meat, especially beef, which will drive a high-level demand for meat. Meat is one of the cold products, known as a cold chain that is more sensitive to bacteria and non-halal contamination. The downstream sector of the meat supply chain in Indonesia consists of logistics, wholesalers, and retailers. Indonesia still has minimal of halal supply chain research in the assessment of criteria for halal supply chain certification in the downstream sector. This study focuses on halal supply chain certification in the Indonesian downstream sector. The first stage is the determination of risk based on the literature and then expert validation. Furthermore, this study uses the DEMATEL based ANP method to get the ranking of halal meat supply chain risk. Determination of assessment criteria based on expert is obtained after getting the ranking of halal meat supply chain risk. The findings of this study are 48 identified risks, 28 risks for assessment criteria, and 44 assessment criteria of the halal supply chain in Indonesia."
