"Munculnya kesadaran merek karena adanya periklanan merupakan hal yang dapat mempengaruhi proses keputusan pembelian sebagaimana yang diharapkan para pemasang iklan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur tingkat kesadaran merek yang dimiliki oleh para penumpang kereta Commuter Line sebagai media iklan outdoor. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 120 penumpang kereta dengan analisa statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penumpang kereta mencapai kesadaran merek pada tingkat dimensi brand recognition.dan belum mencapai dimensi brand recall secara maksimal.

The emerging of brand awareness on consumer?s perception because of the ads is the goal of the advertiser. The objective of this research is to measure the level brand awareness of the train?s passenger since the train is the outdoor-advertising media. This research applied quantitative approach by distributing questionnaire to 120 train?s passenger with descriptive statistic analysis. The result of this research proves that the train?s passenger has the brand recognition level and they haven?t entered the brand recall level.

"Di tengah pandemi Covid-19, beberapa restoran fast food di Belanda melakukan berbagai macam promosi iklan untuk tetap menjaga eksistensi dan meningkatkan penjualan produk terkait dampak krisis korona. McDonald’s, Domino’s dan KFC mempromosikan restorannya di kanal Youtube mereka dengan konsep iklan yang berbeda-beda untuk menarik pelanggan. Penelitian ini mencoba memaparkan makna yang terdapat di dalam iklan tersebut melalui indeks, ikon, simbol yang muncul. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menganalisis iklan tersebut dengan teori Charles Sanders Peirce. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa unsur indeks, ikon, dan simbol memiliki peran penting dalam membangun makna iklan untuk menekankan pesan positif dan membangun citra perusahaan yang baik. KFC membuat sebuah kampanye dalam iklannya dengan menekankan slogan United by The Bucket yang berarti KFC dapat menyatukan semua orang dari beragam latar belakang dan tidak membeda-bedakan kalangan apapun. McDonald’s menonjolkan kepeduliannya kepada konsumen dan karyawannya di masa pandemi, sementara Domino’s menekankan pesan protokol kesehatan dan dukungannya pada restoran lain.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, several fast-food restaurants in the Netherlands launched advertisements to maintain their existence and to increase sales which were affected by the corona crisis. McDonald's, Domino's and KFC promote their restaurants on their Youtube channels with different advertising concepts to attract customers. This research investigates the meaning of the advertisements through the index, icon, and symbol appeared. A qualitative approach was used to analyze the advertisements with Charles Sanders Peirce's theory. The results indicate that index, icon, symbol have an important role in building the meaning of advertising to emphasize positive message and build a good corporate image. KFC made a campaign in its advertisement by emphasizing its slogan United by The Bucket which means KFC can unite all people from various backgrounds and not discriminate against any group. McDonald's is concerned for their consumers and employees during the pandemic, and Domino's emphasizes the message about the health protocol being implemented and its support for other restaurants."

"Tesis ini membahas hubungan international celebrity endorser dalam iklan dan brand credibility maskapai penerbangan Garuda Indonesia terhadap keputusan pembelian jasa oleh konsumen. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksplanatif, responden adalah karyawan stasiun televisi MNC TV berjenis kelamin pria dan wanita, yang berusia 20-64 tahun, dengan jumlah sampel yaitu 121 orang. Metode analisa data dilakukan dengan analisa statistik deskriptif dan analisa Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) untuk membuktikan hipotesis dalam penelitian ini.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa expertise merupakan dimensi yang paling dominan dalam membentuk variabel celebrity endorser ; brand trustworthiness merupakan dimensi yang paling dominan dalam membentuk variabel brand credibility ; probable merupakan dimensi yang paling dominan dalam membentuk variabel keputusan pembelian ; dan terdapat pengaruh antara international celebrity endorser dan brand credibility Garuda Indonesia terhadap keputusan pembelian oleh konsumen.

This thesis disscusses about relationship between international celebrity endorser and brand credibility of Garuda Indonesia Airlines towards purchasing decision by consumer. This research use quantitative explanatory design, respondent are employee of television station, MNC TV with man and woman gender, 20-64 years, total respondent 121 persons. Data analysis method are descriptive statistical analysis and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to prove hypothesizing in this research.
Result from research are: expertise is dominant dimension that forms international celebrity endorser's credibility ; brand trustworthiness is dominant dimension that forms brand credibility ; probable is dominant dimension that forms purchasing decision ; and there is relationship which significant positive between international celebrity endorser and brand credibility of Garuda Indonesia Airlines towards purchasing decision by consumer.

"ABSTRACT
As of 31 December 2011, there were 2.2 billion people or 32.7% of total world
population using the internet. Growth since year 2000 reached 528.1% or five
folds the users twelve years earlier. Major factors that draw people to turn online
are the interactivity and connected environment enabled by the Web 2.0
technology and the control over information access on the internet thanks to
internet search tools, such as directories and search engines. With more people
shift from physical place to internet space, ready or not, marketers also need to
evolve in the way they communicate with customers.
Online advertising differs from traditional advertising in terms of interactivity,
capability of one-to-one marketing, targeted marketing, and push and pull nature
that are enabled by sophisticated software advances and extensive database. A
major break-out in online advertising was introduced by Google with its keywordtargeted
advertising programs called AdWords?Google's text-based system for
advertising on search engine result pages, and AdSense?appears on Google's
content network of millions of web sites. By this means, two categories for textbased
web advertising are enabled: Search Engine Advertising?ads that are
triggered by user?s search keyword and displayed on the result page of the search
engine, and Contextual Advertising?ads that are placed on third-party Web
pages based on its relevancies with the content of the currently viewed page.
The blog internationalsnack.com is a website about snack and snack-related piece
from around the globe. It seeks opportunity to monetize the site by adopting
contextual advertising business model. A number of objectives are set, including
to reach critical mass and to break even within 2 years after the blog launch in
July 2012. This marketing plan will mainly focus on the strategy to promote and
build traffic to the site through Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Web Public
Relation (Web PR) and Viral marketing tactics."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya tarik iklan yang paling efektif pada iklan e-commerce berbasis video, khususnya pada media Youtube. Daya tarik iklan yang dibandingkan pada penelitian ini adalah daya tarik rasional, emosi takut, dan humor. Daya Tarik rasional menekankan pada fitur atau keunggulan produk, emosi takut mengekspresikan ancaman yang dapat muncul, dan humor memberikan penonton mood positif. Efektifitas iklan umumnya diukur melalui memori dan sikap pada iklan. Memori diukur secara implisit dan eksplisit agar pengaruh daya tarik iklan terhadap memori bisa dilihat secara utuh. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain single-factor multiple-group design. Partisipan adalah 106 mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia dari berbagai fakultas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya tarik iklan emosi takut menghasilkan skor memori implisit (M = 0,4061; SD = 0,154) dan sikap pada iklan (M = 3,882; SD = 0,185) yang signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan daya tarik iklan humor dan rasional. Sedangkan daya tarik iklan humor merupaka satu-satunya daya tarik yang secara signifikan mampu mempengaruhi memori eksplisit β = 0,125, p<0,05. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa daya tarik iklan emosi takut mampu mempersuasi konsumen dan mempengaruhi memori tidak sadar mereka. Sedangkan daya tarik humor baik digunakan untuk mempertahankan konsumen yang sudah setia pada produk tersebut.

ABSTRACT
In this study, authors want to find out the effect of advertising appeal on e-commerce video advertising, especially at Youtube. There are three appeals that will be compared, such as rational appeal, fear appeal, and humor appeal. Rational appeal emphasized on features or benefits of the product, fear appeal expressed threat that can happen, and humor appeal give positive mood to people. Usually, ad effectivity measured by memory and attitude to the ad. Memory measured with implicit and explicit measurement so the effect of advertising appeal to memory could be seen as a whole. This research is an experiment with single-factor multiple-group design. Participants were 106 students from various faculty in University of Indonesia. Results show that fear appeal generate score significantly higher for implicit memory (M = 0,4061; SD = 0,154) and ad attitude (M = 3,882; SD = 0,185) compared to rational appeal and humor appeal. Meanwhile, humor appeal was the only appeal signifanctly effect explicit memory β = 0,125, p<0,05. Therefore, it can be concluded that fear appeal have the ability to persuade consumer and influence their unconscious memory. Whilst, humor appeal can be used for retain consumer that already loyal to the product or brand."

"Perkembangan jaman menuntut semua masyarakat untuk terus berinovasi. Salah satunya adalah dalam bidang komunikasi pemasaran dimana banyak perusahaan maupun organisasi yang semakin melihat pentingnya suatu strategi promosi yang terintegrasi. Nyatanya, tidak hanya organisasi bisnis yang menerapkan strategi IMC dalam mempromosikan barang atau jasa mereka. Organisasi masyarakat maupun komunitas sosial juga semakin banyak yang menyadari pentingnya memiliki suatu strategi promosi yang berkesinambungan. Salah satu komunitas yang menggunakannya adalah komunitas Teman Ahok, yang merupakan suatu komunitas independen yang bertujuan mengumpulkan 1 juta KTP warga DKI Jakarta dalam rangka mendukung majunya Ahok sebagai Calon Gubernur Independen dalam Pemilihan Kepala Daerah DKI Jakarta pada tahun 2017. Pada strategi IMC yang digunakan di masa kini, penekanan pada digital marketing semakin marak dilakukan karena jangkauannya yang lebih luas, tersegmentasi, serta biaya yang cendrung lebih murah. Hal inipun disadari dan dimanfaatkan oleh komunitas Teman Ahok. Diharapkan studi kasus ini dapat memaparkan secara lebih mendalam tentang efektifitas dan manfaat penggunaan digital marketing dalam suatu kampanye politik, khususnya di Indonesia.

The swift towards digital era encourage people to keep innovating. Thus, many companies and organizations are increasingly seeingl the importance of an integrated marketing campaign in order to adapt with the changing realm. In fact, not only the business organizations that implement IMC strategy in promoting their goods or services. NGOs, and other social communities are also realizing the importance of having an integrated promotion strategies. One of it is Teman Ahok, a social independent community which aims to collect one million Jakarta ID card in order to support the Ahok as an Independent governor candidate in the local elections of Jakarta in 2017. In IMC strategy used at the present time, an emphasis on digital marketing increasingly prevalent because its scope are broader and segmented as well as the costs is tend to be cheaper.This strategy is also utilized by Teman Ahok. Therefore, this case studies aimed to explained in-depth analysis on the effectiveness and benefits of the use of digital marketing in a political campaign, especially in Indonesia."

"ABSTRAK
Pertumbuhan pengguna internet yang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya telah mengubah cara perusahaan melakukan bisnis dan berkomunikasi serta berinteraksi dengan konsumen. Hal ini mendorong pemasar untuk menerapkan strategi baru dalam mempromosikan produknya melalui internet. Namun, pengguna internet tidak selalu menunjukan sikap positif pada iklan yang ditayangkan di internet dan terjadilah penghindaran iklan di internet oleh para pengguna internet. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh antara e-lifestyle dengan sikap penghindaran iklan di internet secara kognitif, afektif dan behavior. Dengan menentukan tipe penghindaran pada masing-masing kelompok e-lifestyle, pemasar atau pengiklan dapat mengembangkan strategi dalam mendesain dan mempublikasikan iklan mereka di internet, sehingga iklan mereka dapat efektif dan mencapai target mereka. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan desain penelitian konklusif deskriptif. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan sampel 306 responden yang aktif menggunakan layanan internet dalam aktivitas kesehariannya dan memenuhi kualifikasi sebagai pengguna internet yang memiliki kecenderungan dalam mengabaikan iklan saat sedang berselancar di internet. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan Lisrel 8.51. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa penghindaran iklan di internet paling besar adalah pada need-driven e-lifestyle yaitu secara afektif dan behavior. Sedangkan pada entertaiment-driven e-lifestyle menunjukan adanya pengaruh terhadap sikap penghindaran iklan di internet baik secara kognitif, afektif dan behavior. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukan adanya pengaruh sociability-driven e-lifestyle terhadap sikap penghindaran iklan di internet baik secara kognitif, afektif dan behavior. Selain itu, pada novelty-driven e-lifestyle juga menunjukan adanya pengaruh terhadap penghindaran pada iklan di internet secara afektif. Sedangkan, pada kelompok e-lifestyle lainnya tidak ditemukan pengaruh terhadap sikap penghindaran iklan di internet

ABSTRACT
The positive growth of internet users has altered the way company operates its businesses and its interaction to the consumers. This encourages market to apply new strategy in order to promote its product through internet. However, internet users don?t always show positive attitude toward advertisements posted in the internet; thus, they seek to avoid those advertisements. This research aims to analyze the influence between e-lifestyle and the advertising avoidance in internet from the dimension of cognitive, affective and behavior. By identifying the types of avoidance in each e-life style group, marketers or advertisers can develop a strategy in designing and publishing advertisement in internet; consequently their advertisement will achieve its objective. This research is conducted with descriptive conclusive research designs. This study used 306 respondents who actively use internet services in their daily activity and satisfied the qualification as internet users with the tendency to ignore the ads on their internet surfing. The analytical method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Lisrel 8:51. The result shows that advertising avoidance portions the greatest on need-driven e-lifestyle under the dimension of affective and behavior. However, entertainment-driven e-lifestyle displays the influence on internet advertising avoidance under the dimension of affective, cognitive and behavior. This study also shows an influence of sociability-driven e-lifestyle to internet advertising avoidance attitude in both cognitive, affective and behavioral dimension. In addition, the novelty-driven e-lifestyle also shows the influence of internet advertising avoidance affectively. Meanwhile, the rest of e-lifestyle groups do not exhibit any influence of internet advertising avoidance;"

"Tesis ini membahas pengaruh pesan iklan dan media iklan terhadap kesadaran merek. Sebuahstudi eksplanatif pada iklan "Regus Serviced Office" versi Tabloid Seputar UKM terhadap kesadaran merek di kalangan pengusaha lokal. Terdapat permasalahan bahwa jumlah konsumen yang didominasi oleh pengusaha asing disebabkan oleh anggapan-anggapan yang salah mengenai produk yang ditawarkan, masih rendahnya kesadaran merek serta pemahaman target konsumen terhadap produk yang ditawarkan di kalangan pengusaha lokal. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksplanatif, responden adalah anggota HIPMI Jaya Jakarta Selatan yang berlangganan Tabloid Seputar UKM, berjumlah 115 orang. Metode analisa data dilakukan dengan analisa regresi untuk membuktikan hipotesis dalam penelitian ini. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah menunjukan tidak adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara pesan iklan terhadap kesadaran merek, sedangkan media iklan memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kesadaran merek.

This research explores the influence of advertising messages and media advertising to brand awareness. An explanative study on "Regus Serviced Office" Ad's Tabloid Seputar UKM version regarding the brand awareness among local entrepreneurs. There are concerns that the number of consumers who are dominated by foreign businessmen due to incorrect assumptions about the products offered, low brand awareness and understanding of the target consumer of the products offered in the local business community. This research is a quantitative research design with explanative, respondents are members of the Southern Association seeks Jaya subscribe Tabloid Regarding SMEs, totaling 115 people. Methods of data analysis done by regression analysis to prove this hypothesis. The findings in this study is to show the absence of significant influence of advertising messages on brand awareness, while advertising media has a significant influence on brand awareness."
