"Walaupun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manfaat koreksi kesalahan pada
tulisan siswa bertentangan satu dengan yang lain, pengajar bahasa tidak dapat
berhenti mengoreksi kesalahan-keslahan karena siswa sendiri menginginkan
pengajar mengoreksi kesalahan-kesalahan mereka (Walz 1982). Masalahnya
dibahas."

"This article is a literary analysis on Aleksandra Mikhailovna Kollontai? Vasilisa Maligina (1923) by using a feminist approach. Issues on masculinity are the focus of the analysis. The main argument of this article is that through the main character of this story - Vasilisa Maligina - Kollontai tried to expose the new image of Russian women by reconstructing the concept of Russian traditional masculinity in Russian society under former Uni Soviet communist government based on patriarchal culture."

"This article focuses on the psycholinguistic study of the syntactic aspects of Dutch-Indonesian interlanguage. The study is based on the interlanguage syntax observed in an oral test given to thirty Indonesian learners of Dutchas a second language, whose purpose is to test the processability theory of Pienemann (2005a, b, c, 2007). The results of the study provide evidence for the validity of Pienemann?s theory. Learners who have acquired sentences with the highest level of processing will also already have acquired sentences with a lower level of processing. The results from learners with a high level of Dutch proficiency verify the processability theory with more certainty than the results of learners with a lower proficiency. Learners tend to rely on meaning if they are not confident of their grammatical proficiency. Interlanguage is the result of the immediate need to encode in the mind concepts and ideas into the form of linguistic items, within a fraction of a millisecond, whilst the supporting means are limited, and whilst learners already have acquired a first language and possibly another language as well."

"Jalan Menikung is one of the unique literary works. The uniqueness is reflected
in both the cultural background and the elements of culture. This indicates that the author
has rich experiences in culture. The cultural values in this literary work do not only belong
to the ethnic culture in Indonesia, but also to other cultures. Jalan Menikung is influenced
by the authors experiences which he absorbed from other cultures, when he made a tour to
some places in the world. The crux of the problem in this literary work is concerned with
Javanese people and their culture, which is influenced by modern culture, especially American,
Japanese,Chinese, and Minangkabau."

"This paper examines with a particular affixe (keter-/-an) consisting in two primary
affixes. Through the analyse of terms coined by the Pusat Bahasa and spontaneous
terms, the paper distinguishes between ?double? and ?complex? affixation,
corresponding to different operating modes of affixation. The first deals with
an already affixed and lexicalized word, then reaffixed and relexicalized. The
second, almost only found in documents produced by the Pusat Bahasa, refers
to a base getting a first affix in a poorly (or not) lexicalized form, constituting
no more than a morphological stage towards the wished form, which is intent
as lexicalized. Complex affix keter-R-an is basically a morphological calque and
the author argues that it has been promoted and used during New Order on an
ideological basis, as a mean to modernize Indonesian terminology by keeping
its shape indigenous rather than by direct borrowing of English terms."

"On the basis of the theoretical notions of discursive ambience and ambient
discourse, this article examines the recent history of language and ethnicity in
Banyuwangi in the far east of Java. Over the last three decades (with roots going
back to the 1920s and earlier) a redefinition of the language and culture of the
?autochthonous? inhabitants of Banyuwangi has been occurring. Their status and
constitution have been changing from a variety of Javanese into an autonomous
language and ethnicity, called, after the name given to the language or dialect,
Osing. At the same time, an idyllic and heroic picture of the regional past is
being constructed and maintained. Prominent among the factors and agencies
involved in these two ongoing processes is popular media culture. The regency
of Banyuwangi and especially its capital (also named Banyuwangi) are being
cast ? albeit sporadically and incidentally and sometimes controversially ? as
an Osing region. At the centre of this historical process, people publicly render
themselves ? also sporadically and temporarily ? Banyuwanginese by listening
to and especially by singing, in karaoke-style, a genre of pop music with Osing
lyrics and musical characteristics perceived as local."

Grammatical Error Correction (GEC) is a part of Natural Language Processing which deals with the task of detecting and correcting a text. This includes correcting grammatical errors, semantic errors, and orthographic errors. GEC development in Indonesian language has been hindered by the lack of suitable dataset that can be used to train GEC models. This research proposes a rule-based approach to develop a synthetic dataset that contains sentences in Indonesian with grammar errors and its corresponding corrections. It’s done with the help of dictionaries such as Indonesian thesaurus and NLP tools such as a tokenizer, part of speech tagger, morphological analyzer, and dependency parser to extract contextual information of sentences. The synthetic dataset is generated by using grammatically correct sentences from Wikipedia pages as the input. The resulting dataset is formatted to M2 format and pairs of correct and false sentences, containing 17 types of errors with a total of 16.898 sentences. The evaluation of Gramatika is done by manually assessing the accuracy of the sentence modifications. To do this, stratified random sampling is conducted to select 100 sentences with a minimum of 5 examples for each error type. From the manual evaluation by two evaluators, an average accuracy score of 91.1% is obtained.

"R.M. Noto Soeroto was one of the Indonesian writers who wrote in Dutch.
His poems and essays in Dutch were well appreciated by both the Dutch and
the Indonesian society in the Netherlands. He published his works in Oedaya:
Majalah bergambar untuk Indonesia, a magazine (1923-1931) that was founded by
him. His works can be categorized as Dutch-East Indies literature. Most of his
works in Dutch were written when he lived in the Netherlands and describe
the Javanese culture. This article is an analysis on three of Soeroto?s poems.
These three poems present flowers as theme, two poems are from his anthology
Melatiknoppen: gedichten in proza (1915) and one poem from De geur van moeders
haarwrong (1922). Flowers are most usually seen as a symbol for women, and
thus represent the idea of femininity. However, the flowers in these three poems
refer to the idea of masculinity. Jasmine is no longer a symbol limited to the
feminine gender. In Javanese culture, the jasmine flower attached to the hair
is a symbol of femininity. The flower wrapped around the kris is a symbol of
masculinity. Furthermore jasmine is a symbol for struggle. This article tries to
demonstrate the presence of masculinity through the use of flowers and their
role as an image of masculinity in Noto Soeroto?s poems."
