"ABSTRAKThis article focuses on Indonesian adolescents who are wives and mothers, demonstrating how early marriage and adolescent motherhood are normative among women from poor Sasak communities in Western Lombok. It isbased on ethnographic research with 28 young mothers that included focusgroup discussions, in depth interviews, and observations. Demographic andethnographic data on the aetiology of early marriage and adolescent motherhoodare discussed, and confirm that low educational attainment for girls, lack ofemployment prospects, poverty, and low levels of economic development areall associated with a higher probability of adolescent marriage and motherhoodin Indonesia. The article also reveals how conservative sexual morality and localmarriage customs can propel girls into early marriage. It provides a human rightsanalysis that demonstrates how early marriage and adolescent motherhoodintersect with the neglect of girls? rights to education, employment, equality inmarriage, health information, family planning, and maternal health."

"This article examines representations of adolescent social media interaction in two Indonesian teen novels to show how adolescent communication styles are typified. It is argued that public discourse on the potential danger of social media interaction is resounded in the novels. The article demonstrates that the authors of both novels take a similar moral stance on the issue of social media but use different rhetorical strategies for indexing that stance. Both draw on the social values of registers to communicate the stance. In Online addicted, standard Indonesian is used in narration to convey an authoritative voice and a stern moral tone, while the gaul register indexes an alignment with favourable aspects of the protagonist?s character. In Jurnal Jo online, gaul is similarly given a positive value by virtue of its juxtaposition with the Alay register. In this novel, gaul is the preferred, standard register. In both novels, there is a strong orientation toward ?standardness?."

"This study offers an overview of the characteristics and social functions of youth slang in the Indonesian province of East Java. It examines Boso Walikan and various types of Surabayan slang. Boso Walikan emerged in Malang as a secret language that was deliberately made unintelligible to outsiders. Over the decades, large parts of Malang?s urban population developed proficiency in the language and appropriated it as an identity marker. The situation in nearby Surabaya is different. While lacking a uniform local slang comparable to that of Malang, several communities make an effort to differentiate themselves through specific linguistic habits, which are briefly introduced. These case studies tell us not only how young people shape their speech, they illustrate how the EastJavanese dialect deals with linguistic variety, lexical borrowing and innovation."

"Tulisan ini membahas hubungan yang kompleks antara Islam dan hak-hak reproduksi dan seksual perempuan Indonesia. Khususnya, tulisan ini mengangkat isu-isu penting bagi perempuan Indonesia, seperti hak-hak mereka di dalam perkawinan, akses terhadap keluarga berencana dan pelayanan kesehatan yang memadai, kebutuhan yang mendesak untuk mengurangi tingkat kematian ibu, serta pendidikan reproduksi dan seks bagi perempuan muda. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman mengenaihubungan antara Islam dan hak-hak reproduksi mencakup kajian tentang cara Al Qur'an ditafsirkan pada tingkat komuniti, keluarga dan identitas pribadi, dan bukan hanya pada tataran argumen teologis para elit. Ruang demokratis yang semakin meluas di Indonesia juga merepresentasikan potensi yang meningkat dari perempuan-perempuan Muslim untuk melibatkan diri secara kritis dan positif baik pada lembaga-lembaga negara maupun keagamaan untuk memperjuangkan pengakuan dan perlindungan hak-hak reproduksi dan seksual mereka dalam kerangka Islam."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari karakteristik penduduk muda yang tidak bekerja dan tidak sekolah (NEE) dengan menggunakan metode multinomial logit dan data Susenas 2012. Hasilnya menunjukkan ada perbedaan karakteristik antara NEE aktif (aktif mencari kerja tapi belum bekerja) dan NEE tidak aktif (tidak aktif mencari kerja dan tidak sekolah). Jenis kelamin dan status kawin besar pengaruhnya terhadap probabilitas menjadi NEE aktif atau NEE tidak aktif. Ditemukan bahwa probabilitas menjadi NEE aktif akan meningkat pada laki-laki berstatus belum kawin sementara wanita berstatus kawin lebih cenderung menjadi NEE tidak aktif. Capaian pendidikan juga membedaan probabilitas menjadi NEE aktif atau NEE tidak aktif.

This study analyzed the characteristics that determine the probability of young population that are not employed and not in education (NEE) using Multinomial Logistic Method and the 2012 National Economic and Social Survey (Susenas). Result shows different findings that determines the young NEE active (actively searching for work but not yet employed) and NEE inactive (not actively searching for work nor in education).

Sex, male or female, and marital status highly determines the probability to be NEE active or inactive. The findings point out that the probability to be NEE active are higher among the single young men while women who are married to be NEE inactive. Education attainment also distinguish the probability to be NEE active or inactive."

"ABSTRACTKeberfungsian suatu keluarga dan kecanduan narkoba merupakan hal yang saling berkaitan. Keberfungsian keluarga yang baik dianggap dapat memengaruhi pemberian dukungan sosial yang dibutuhkan oleh pecandu untuk dapat pulih. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat peran dimensi-dimensi keberfungsian keluarga dalam memprediksi dukungan sosial pada pecandu narkoba dewasa muda yang menjalani rehabilitasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitaif dengan melibatkan 95 partisipan, berusia 18 ndash; 39 tahun, yang menjalani program rehabilitasi di Balai Besar Rehabilitasi BNN. Pengukuran keberfungsian keluarga pada penelitian ini menggunakan adaptasi alat ukur Family Assessment Device FAD yang dikembangkan oleh Epstein, Bishop, dan Levin 1978 yang memiliki enam dimensi dan satu fungsi general di dalamnya. Semantara itu pengukuran dukungan sosial menggunakan adaptasi alat ukur Social Provisions Scale SPS yang dikembangkan oleh Cutrona dan Russell 1987 yang memiliki enam dimensi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dimensi-dimensi dari keberfungsian keluarga secara bersama-sama tidak dapat memprediksi dukungan sosial secara signifikan R = 0,698, p > 0,05 . Meskipun demikian, terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara dimensi problem solving ? = 0,256, p < 0,05 dan behaviour control ? = 0,329, p < 0,05 dari keberfungsian keluarga dalam memprediksi dukungan sosial pada pecandu narkoba dewasa muda yang menjalani rehabilitasi. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan sub-skala general functioning, keberfungsian keluarga secara umum dapat memprediksi dukungan sosial secara signifikan R = 0,568, p < 0,05 dan juga berkontribusi secara signifikan dalam memprediksi dukungan sosial ? = 0,568, p < 0,05.

ABSTRACTThe family functioning and drug addiction is interrelated. Good family functioning is thought to affect the provision of social support needed by the addict to be able to recover. The purpose of this study is to know the role of family functioning dimensions in predicting social support on young adult drug addicts who undergo rehabilitation. This is a quantitative study that include 95 participants, around 18 to 39 years old, that join the rehabilitation program in Balai Besar Rehabilitasi BNN. In this study, The Family Assessment Device FAD with six dimensions and one general functioning that being developed by Epstein, Bishop, and Levin 1978 is used to measure family functioning. The other measurement is Social Provisions Scale SPS by Cutrona and Russell 1987 with six dimensions which going to measure social support. The result shows that the dimensions of family functioning altogether cannot predict social support significantly R 0,698, p 0,05 . However, problem solving dimension 0,256, p 0,05 and behaviour control dimension 0,329, p 0,05 of family functioning have significant contribution in predicting social support on young adult drug addicts who undergo rehabilitation. Based on the measurement of the general functioning subscale, family functioning in general can predict social support significantly R 0,568, p 0,05 and also contributing significantly in predicting social support 0,568, p 0,05."
