"This book discusses the expertise, skills, and techniques needed for the development of new materials and technologies. It focuses on finite element and finite volume methods that are used for engineering simulations, and present many state-of-the-art applications and advances to highlight these methods? importance.Ưr example, modern joining technologies can be used to fabricate new compound or composite materials, even those formed from dissimilar component materials. These composite materials are often exposed to harsh environments, must deliver specific characteristics, and are primarily used in automotive and marine technologies, i.e., ships, amphibious vehicles, docks, offshore structures, and even robots. To achieve the desired material performance, computer-based engineering tools are widely used for simulation, data evaluation, and design processes"

Investment applications are platforms that allow users to invest online in various investment instruments or assets such as stocks, mutual funds, cryptocurrencies, and others. Based on data from KSEI's statistical report on the Indonesian capital market (2022), the number of investors in Indonesia has increased significantly from 2019. However, the number of investors when compared to the population ratio in Indonesia is still lower than other countries in the Asean region. Hence, this study aims to analyze the factors that influence customer intention in investment applications by integrating the initial trust model and the IS Success Model. This research uses a mixed-method analysis, preceded by a quantitative analysis process followed by a qualitative analysis process. The quantitative analysis method is carried out by distributing online questionnaires to the target respondents who are investment application users in Indonesia. A total of 489 respondents were obtained and analyzed quantitatively using the partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method. Qualitative research was conducted by conducting interviews with 7 respondents. This study found that perceived benevolence, perceived integrity, and perceived ability are constituents of initial trust. This study also found that firm reputation, structural assurance, trust propensity, system quality, information quality, and service quality have a significant influence on users' initial trust. Initial trust and perceived usefulness are also found to have a significant effect on user intentions in investment applications. In addition, this study found that financial literacy does not significantly affect the user's intention to adopt investment applications. This research contributes insights related to the integration of the initial trust model, dimension of trust and the IS success model in the intention of adopting investment applications in Indonesia. This research is also able to provide benefits to investment application service providers in developing investment applications to produce products and services that meet the expectations of users and the Indonesian government in order to encourage economic growth in Indonesia."

"This book presents the latest algorithmic developments in the cell-mapping method for the global analysis of nonlinear dynamic systems, global solutions for multi-objective optimization problems, and global solutions for zeros of complex algebraic equations. It also discusses related engineering and scientific applications, including the nonlinear design of structures for better vibration resistance and reliability; multi-objective, structural-acoustic design for sound abatement; optimal multi-objective design of airfoils for better lift; and optimal multi-objective design of linear and nonlinear controls with or without time delay.
The first book on the subject to include extensive Matlab and C++ codes, it presents various implementation algorithms of the cell-mapping method, enabling readers to understand how the method works and its programming aspects. A link to the codes on the Springer website will be provided to the readers. "
