The rapid progress in competition and globalization force all the telecommunication business players to be able to anticipate the above condition. Consumer more demanding on new services and performance, and it creates a competitive climate for providing telecommunication services.
intelligent Network (IN) or JAPATI (Jaringan Pintar Teknologi lnformasi) - commercial name in Indonesia - is a kind of technology development in telecommunication. It aims to ease the introduction of new services and features, which is more centralized and installed on the existing base of the present network. it will provide greater network flexibility and capability to enable the service provider to quickly and economically create, modify and customize telecommunication services.
In is a relatively new technology in Indonesia, it drives PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (PT. TELKOM) - as an operator for fixed telecommunication - to keep raising to develop IN and its services.
This paper will analyze PT. TELKOM iN configuration planning, comparing with international standard. It also analyze iN service and marketing.
The output of this is intended to give a contribution to all parties for developing national IN efficiently Hence all points am conform to international standard, in stage, considering present network condition, including market development.

Penerapan IN menjadi salah satu solusi pengimplcmcntasian number portability pada jaringan telekomunikasi.
