Partai Hijau mengubah isu yang berkembang menjadi strategi kampanye. Isu penolakan pembangunan proyek Stuttgart 21, isu anti-nuklir, dan juga isu krisis ekonomi Jerman merupakan isu yang berkembang di Baden-Württemberg yang kemudian dijadikan strategi kampanye. Hal ini membawa pengaruh yang positif karena hasil dari pemilu menunjukan naiknya suara untuk partai Hijau. Setelah suara Partai Hijau naik pada pemilu di Landtag Baden-Württemberg tahun 2011, strategi Partai Hijau yaitu berkoalisi dengan Partai SPD untuk mendapatkan simple majority di Landtag Baden-Württemberg tahun 2011. Koalisi Partai Hijau-SPD akhirnya menempatkan Winfried Kretschmann resmi menjadi Ministerpräsident pertama dari Partai Hijau. Koalisi ini mengalahkan suara koalisi CDU-FPD untuk menempatkan Partai Hijau menjadi partai berkuasa di Baden-Württemberg.

This Article are explaining about The Success of Green Party becoming Ruling Party in Baden-Württemberg in the year of 2011. This research are explanative research that use qualitative methods. Output of this research showing that the success of Green Party becoming ruling party in Baden-Württemberg were results from their campaign strategies. Green Party were able to transform the latest and growing issues to become part of their campaign strategy. Issue of againts project Stuttgart 21, issue of anti-nuclear and also issue of German’s economy setback or crisis were are the growing issues in Baden-Württemberg which is used by Green party as their campaign strategies. There were positive reactions as The Greens are gaining more votes on 2011 elections. After significant impact from The Greens votes on Landtag elections of Baden-Württemberg, The Greens strategies by establishing coalitions with The SPD are succeed. This means that Green-Red coalitions succesfully gain simple majority in Landtag Baden-Württemberg. The Greens finally put their very first Ministerpräsident in History after beating CDUSPD coalitions and make the Greens as ruling party of Baden-Württemberg."
