"Manuscripts are not supposed to be something unknown to the public and possessed by limited circle of people. Manuscripts are cultural heritage of a nation the content of which reflects the ideas, knowledge, tradition, and the patterns of behavior of the past society. As such they can be of use to different segments of society. This paper discusses the benefits of manuscripts to the efforts of reconstructing Islamic intellectual history in Indonesia by studying the case of local manuscripts in the Minang region. These manuscripts are not only the products of a writing tradition that had developed strongly in the Minangkabau society, but also a reflection of the living tradition of the society."

"This paper discusses about speech levels in Sasak, the language of the indigeniouspeople of the island of Lombok, examining the style, meaning and some historical backgroundof the speech levels. Based on the data, it shows that Sasak, like Javanese and Balinese, alsocontains low, mid, high and few honorific vocabularies which are assumed to have beenborrowed from Javanese (Steven, 1975; Nothofer, 1975). However, the use of the high andhonorific variations are scarecly heard in the everyday common Sasaks conversation. In mostoccurrences, the high speech level is pronounced only among the so called menak Sasaks andits surrounding. Therefore, it rejects the idea that Sasak speech levels is as elaborate andcomplex as Javanese due to the fact that Sasak has only a few high and honorific vocabulariesknown by the Sasak aristocracy."

"Keberadaan negara Jerman saat ini tidak dapat dilepaskan dari peran Prusia dalam Penyatuan Jerman pada tahun 1871. Peristiwa penting ini menyebabkan terbentuknya Jerman yang kemudian berpartisipasi dalam Perang Dunia Pertama dan Kedua. Unsur-unsur sejarah ini merupakan tema yang sering diangkat dalam manga Hetalia. Hetalia merupakan serial manga karya Hidekaz Himaruya yang menyajikan interpretasi simbolis dari peristiwa politik dan sejarah dunia, dengan setiap negara yang terlibat di dalam dan di luar peristiwa tersebut dipersonifikasikan melalui karakter yang menyerupai manusia. Penelitian ini menganalisis penggambaran hubungan antara tokoh Germany dan Prussia dalam Hetalia untuk melihat bagaimana konstelasi Jerman dengan Prusia direpresentasikan dalam manga tersebut. Korpus data yang digunakan adalah manga Hetalia: Axis Powers, Hetalia World☆Stars, dan komik web Hetalia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis konten yang didukung oleh teori representasi Stuart Hall. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hetalia merepresentasikan Jerman dan Prusia melalui tokoh Germany dan Prussia yang dibentuk berdasarkan sejarah, stereotipe, serta identitas budaya Jerman dan Prusia di dunia nyata. Namun, Prussia digambarkan lebih menonjol daripada Germany karena memiliki rentang sejarah yang lebih panjang. Selanjutnya, konstelasi Jerman dan Prusia direpresentasikan secara positif dalam Hetalia melalui hubungan dan interaksi tokoh Germany dan Prussia yang dianggap sebagai sepasang saudara.

The existence of today’s Germany cannot be separated from Prussia's role in the Unification of Germany in 1871. This important event led to the formation of Germany, which later participated in the First and Second World Wars. These historical elements are often raised in the Hetalia manga. Hetalia is a manga series by Hidekaz Himaruya that presents symbolic interpretations of world political and historical events, with each country involved in and outside of these events personified through human-like characters. This study analyzes the relationship between the character Germany and Prussia in Hetalia and examines how the constellation of Germany and Prussia in the real world is represented in the manga. The data used for this research are the Hetalia: Axis Powers manga, Hetalia World☆Stars manga, and Hetalia webcomics. The research method used is content analysis supported by Stuart Hall's representation theory. The results show that Hetalia represents Germany and Prussia through the character Germany and Prussia which are formed based on the history, stereotypes, and cultural identities of Germany and Prussia in the real world. However, Prussia is portrayed more prominently than Germany because he has a longer historical span. Furthermore, the constellation of Germany and Prussia is represented positively in Hetalia through the relationship and interactions between the characters Germany and Prussia who are considered as a pair of brothers."
