"Contextual teaching and learning in cooperative learning of TGT strategy was used to increase science process skills and science learning outcome. The problems of this research was the low science process skills and learning outcome of the students. Type of this research was CAR. The source of data in this reseacrh were students of class VII MTS Tarbiyatun Nasyiin Pemekasan. The result of the research shows the students' science process skilss and learning outcome were increased. Contextual teaching and learning combined with cooperative learning of TGT strategy could also gain positive response."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan apakah penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe turnamen game dalam tim (TGT) lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional (baik secara keseluruhan, kelompok tinggi maupun kelompok rendah). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, kuesioner dan observasi. Tes dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-T. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Perguruan Buddhi kota Tangerang.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe turnamen game dalam tim (TGT) mampu meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa baik secara keseluruhan, kelompok tinggi maupun kelompok rendah. Hal ini terjadi karena dalam pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT, siswa dituntut untuk aktif dan kreatif serta terampil dalam berkomunikasi, tidak terlalu bergantung kepada guru, memiliki tanggungjawab individu, memiliki hubungan interpersonal, keterampilan mengelola waktu, dan sikap positif serta adanya proses evaluasi pada akhir proses pembelajaran.

ABSTRACT
This research is aimed at proving whether the mastery of English vocabulary who were taught by using Team Game Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning is higher than those who were taught by using conventional method (to all students; upper group; and lower group). In conducting the research, the researcher used quantitative and qualitative research method with a Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The data was collected by administering a test, distributing questionnaire and doing observation. The test was analyzed by using a T-test. The population of this research was the seventh grade students (VII) of Perguruan Buddhi Junior High School in Tangerang.
The result of the research shows that the mastery of English vocabulary of the students who were taught by using team games tournament cooperative learning (TGT) was higher than those who were taught by using the conventional method (to all students; upper group; and lower group). In applying the team games tournament cooperative learning (TGT), the students are required to be active and creative in communication, to be independent, to have interpersonal relationship, to have ability in time management, positive attitude and to have an evaluation at the end of the learning process."

"This study aims to identify the effectiveness of cooperative learning of Jigsaw and STAD models at elementary school students. Specifically this study aims to (I) identify the learning activities of students in Jigsaw and STAD model, and (ii) identify the effect of cooperative learning on student outomes, and (iii) identify the effects of cooperative learning on social skill on elementary school students. Subjects are fourth grade elementary school student of SD Sambungan 01 and 02 in Sub District of Undaan in Kudus Regency, was randomly selected through cluster sampling technique includes two experimental groups. It consists of 20 students for STAD model and 21 students for Jigsaw model. Collecting the data in the form of student learning outcomesn conducted during the 2009.1 academic year through tests and non test. Data was analyzed using ANOVA and testing requirements through the normality test and homogeneity of variance. Data processing activities and skills gained through observation and then be processed through descriptive analysis. Research results revealed that the implementation of cooperative learning model of Jigsaw and STAD model was capable to improve student learning activities. While the use of both models show that students only skillful in capturing the concept. The value of the influence of process skills with Jigsaw model is 59.6% and with the STAD model is 55.5%. Average yield study showed significance differences that Jigsaw model is better than STAD model. This means that the Jigsaw model is more able to improve student learning activity compared with STAD model. It is concluded that the Jigzaw model is better than STAD model. Teachers are advised to apply Jigsaw method of cooperative learning model as an alternative to teaching in the classroom."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pelibatan Reading to Learn (R2L) dalam pengajaran Digital Multimodal Composing (DMC) teks eksplanasi dan implikasinya pada tulisan pemelajar. R2L merupakan sebuah program pengajaran yang dikembangkan berdasarkan teori Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) yang telah terbukti berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan literasi pemelajar dalam berbagai konteks pengajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, spesifiknya studi kasus yang dilakukan di sebuah Sekolah Menengah Atas di Depok. Dua jenis data diperoleh dalam penelitian ini. Data pertama berupa observasi implementasi R2L dan analisis tulisan pemelajar kelas XII tingkat sekolah menengah atas berupa teks eksplanasi multimodal jenis digital. Data observasi merupakan laporan dari pelaksanaan R2L sebagai bentuk intervensi pengajaran dan interpretasi ke dalam konteks pengajaran di kelas. Data berupa teks visual dan tertulis pemelajar dianalisis menggunakan kerangka SFL yang berfokus pada teori perkembangan bahasa tulisan dan visual. Terdapat beberapa temuan penting dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, implementasi R2L dilakukan melalui dua bagian intervensi dengan dua topik yang berbeda. R2L diaplikasikan dnegan memilih tahapan strategi R2L. Temuan berdasarkan analisis tulisan pemelajar menunjukkan signifikansi implementasi R2L pada perkembangan tulisan pemelajar yang meliputi perkembangan pemahaman genre, perkembangan gramatika dan kosa kata, serta perkembangan pemahaman fungsi representasional elemen visual pada produk teks ekspalanasi multimodal. Temuan perkembangan tulisan pemelajar tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pengaplikasian R2L dalam pengajaran menulis teks eksplanasi multimodal digital efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis pemelajar. Temuan tersebut merekomendasikan penelitian mengenai pengaplikasian R2L untuk konteks lainnya, serta menekankan pentingnya penelitian berkelanjutan untuk menyempurnakan dan memperluas penelitian tentang dampak R2L terutama dalam penulisan teks multimodal digital.

This research aims to investigate the involvement of Reading to Learn (R2L) in teaching Digital Multimodal Composing (DMC) explanation text and its implications on students' writing. R2L is a teaching program developed based on Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) theory which has been proven to be successful in increasing students' literacy skills across the globe. This research is qualitative in nature, specifically a case study which was conducted at a high school in Depok. Two types of data were obtained in this research. The first data is in the form of observations of the implementation of R2L in that the account of R2L implementation is reported. The second data is drawn from the analytical results of the students’ written and visual texts before and after the R2L implementation. The data obtained in the form of students’ visual and written texts were analyzed using SFL frameworks focusing on the theory of written and visual language development. There are several important findings in this research. First, R2L implementation is carried out through two intervention parts with two different topics. R2L is applied through selected the R2L stages. Findings based on the analysis of students' writing show the significance of the implementation of R2L on the development of students' writing, including the development of genre understanding, the development of grammar and vocabulary, as well as the development of understanding the representational function of visual elements in multimodal explanation text product. These findings indicate promising R2L application in teaching digital multimodal explanation composition and improving students' writing skills. These findings suggest further research on the application of R2L in other contexts in order to refine the results of R2L application especially in digital multimodal text writing."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode demonstrasi dalam meningkatkan proses belajar dan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia pada Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Dalam. Tempat penelitian adalah tempat yang digunakan dalam melakukan penelitian untuk memperoleh data yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini bertempat di SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Dalam tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Observasi dibagi dalam tiga putaran, yaitu putaran 1, 2 dan 3, dimana masing putaran dikenai perlakuan yang sama (alur kegiatan yang sama) dan membahas satu sub pokok bahasan membuat kalimat yang diakhiri dengan tes harian di akhir masing putaran. Dibuat dalam tiga putaran dimaksudkan untuk memperbaiki sistem pengajaran yang telah dilaksanakan. Data-data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi aktivitas siswa dan guru, dan tes harian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode-metode pembelajaran demonstrasi mempunyai pengaruh positif, yaitu dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yang ditunjukan dengan hasil wawancara dengan sebagian siswa, rata-rata jawaban siswa menyatakan bahwa siswa tertarik dan berminat dengan metode-metode pembelajaran demonstrasi sehingga mereka menjadi termotivasi untuk belajar."

"During three years latest, the achievement of non regular education students offering BB in Animal Development course relatively low, with average gain C+ (57,5-67,5) because of the learning method used could activate students not well. For surpass that condition, the learning innovation that can increase student’s activity were needed. This expansion purposed to increase motivation and achievement of the students offering BB in Animal Development course by applying of jigsaw’s cooperative learning . The design used in this expansion is classroom action research in two cycles that applied in five and six meeting time in even semester 2007/2008. The student’s motivation were observed by perceived their interest, activity, effort, concentration and efficiency working during the learning process. The results indicate the increasing of good category’s classical learning motivation from 60.74 at 1st cycle to 77.78 at the 2nd , and the classical achievement from 62.96% to 85.19%. Its can concluded that the applied of jigsaw’s cooperative learning can improve student’s motivation and achievement. "
