"LTE (Long Term Evolution) merupakan salah satu teknologi telekomunikasi nirkabel yang saat ini sedang dikembangkan. Teknologi ini dirancang untuk menyediakan efisiensi spektrum yang lebih baik, peningkatan kapasitas radio, latency, biaya operasional yang rendah bagi operator, serta layanan mobile broadband kualitas tinggi untuk para pengguna. Dengan menggunakan antena MIMO diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi transmisi sinyal. Adanya penambahan komponen aktif power amplifier dapat meningkatkan gain, bandwidth, dan menurunkan mutual coupling dari antena. Semakin besar gain yang dihasilkan maka jarak pancaran gelombang akan semakin jauh. Kondisi ini menguntungkan untuk komunikasi jarak jauh. Pada skripsi ini dilakukan rancang bangun antena pengirim aktif mikrostrip MIMO 2x2 pada frekuensi 2,35 GHz. Antena aktif diletakan pada port 1 dan port 3. Penggunaan pencatu aperture coupled untuk memudahkan integrasi power amplifier pada antena. Dengan menggunakan simulator CST MWS, rancangan optimum menghasilkan impedance bandwidth sebesar 191 MHz pada port 1, dan 189 MHz pada port 3. Adapun gain yang dihasilkan adalah 16.84 dB pada port 1 dan 16.90 dB pada port 3. Hasil pengukuran pada antena aktif pengirim menghasilkan impedance bandwidth sebesar 207 MHz pada port 1 dan 200 MHz pada port 3. Hasil pengukuran gain pad.
LTE (Long Term Evolution) is a wireless telecommunication technology that is currently being developed. This technology is designed to provide better spectrum efficiency, increased radio capacity, latency, low operating costs for operators, and high-quality mobile broadband services to the users. By using MIMO antenna, it is expected to improve the efficiency of signal transmission. The addition of the active components can improve the gain, bandwidth and reduce mutual coupling of the antenna. The high gain is favorable for long-distance communication. In this paper an active integrated microstrip antenna MIMO 2x2 has been designed at 2.35 GHz LTE working frequency. The use of aperture coupled feed is for easy integration between antenna with the active components. Active antenna is integrated in port 1 and port 3. By using CST MWS simulator, the simulation result show that the antenna bandwidth is 119 MHz for port 1 and 189 MHz for port 3, The gain resulted at 2.35 GHz center frequency is 16.84 dB for port 1 and 16.90 dB for port 3. The measurement result show that the impedance bandwidth is 207 MHz for port 1 and 200 MHz for port 3. The gain resulted from measurement at 2.35 GHz center frequency is 12,307 dB and 12,855 dB respectively."
