"ABSTRAKThe main focus of this research is on the representation of lesbianism in Rookie magazine, while most previous studies only focus on heterosexual relationship represented in teen magazines. The method used in this research is textual analysis by utilizing the representation concept from Stuart Hall. Research findings show that Rookie portrays lesbianism in a romantic way; however, the romantic portrayal of lesbianism is merely used as a branding image. As a result, we can say that Rookie gives a different perspective about lesbianism to the American teenage girls."

"Pembatasan politik patriarki dan pemahaman kolektif masyarakat seringkali menghambat interpretasi sejati ekspresi diri perempuan, khususnya dalam konteks seksualitas dan erotisme. Artikel ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi peran erotisisme, sebagaimana disampaikan oleh Audre Lorde, dalam membentuk relasi lesbianisme yang memenuhi kebutuhan, memberikan kebebasan, dan memunculkan life force dalam diri perempuan. Stigma dan asumsi seputar hubungan lesbianisme diidentifikasi sebagai potensi penghalang bagi perempuan mencapai kebebasan. Melalui metode deskriptif-analisis dan pendekatan kualitatif, artikel ini menganalisis erotisme perempuan secara holistik, menunjukkan potensi untuk menciptakan dunia dalam relasi lesbianisme yang menjadikannya salah satu pilihan kebebasan perempuan. Pengumpulan data berbasis kajian literatur diterapkan untuk memperdalam pemahaman terhadap konsep dan makna yang membantu redefinisi konsep erotisisme dan lesbianisme. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam memperkaya pemahaman literatur mengenai konsep erotisme, kebebasan, dan relasi perempuan, khususnya lesbianisme.

The constraints of patriarchal politics and collective societal understandings often impede the authentic interpretation of women's self-expression, particularly in the realms of sexuality and eroticism. This article aims to explore the role of eroticism, as articulated by Audre Lorde, in shaping lesbian relationships that fulfill women's needs, provide freedom, and evoke a life force within women. Stigmas and assumptions surrounding lesbian relationships are identified as potential barriers for women to attain freedom. Through a descriptive-analytical method and qualitative approach, this article holistically analyzes women's eroticism, demonstrating its potential to create a world within lesbian relationships that becomes one of the choices for women's freedom. Literature-based data collection is employed to deepen the understanding of concepts and meanings that contribute to the redefinition of eroticism and lesbianism. This article is expected to make a significant contribution to enriching the literature's understanding of the concepts of eroticism, freedom, and women's relationships, particularly lesbianism. "

"Keberadaan karakter non-heteronormatif di serial televisi Amerika semakin terlihat lebih banyak. Publik kini lebih familiar dengan karakter LGBT. Namun, terdapat sebuah stereotipe yakni semua karakter non-heteronormatif diklasifikasikan sebagai LGBT. Riverdale (2017- 2019) terlepas dari stereotipe ini dengan menggambarkan sexual fluidity. Serial televisi Riverdale diadaptasi dari buku komik tahun 1970 dengan alur cerita mengenai kehidupan remaja di Riverdale. Riset sebelumnya mengenai sexual fluidity fokus pada analisis data survei, pengamatan, dan sejarah. Tujuan dari riset ini adalah untuk menginvestigasi bagaimana seksualitas yang berubah-ubah direpresentasikan di serial televisi Amerika, Riverdale. Dengan menggunakan teori Diamond mengenai sexual fluidity (2009), riset ini menemukan bahwa meskipun terdapat beberapa karakter dengan karakteristik sexual fluidity, mereka masih terpengaruh norma heteronormatif.

Non-heteronormative characters have become more visible in American TV series. The public are more familiar with LGBT characters now. However, there is a common stereotype that all non-heteronormative characters are classified as LGBT. Riverdale (2017-2019) breaks away from this stereotype by portraying sexually fluid characters. Riverdale TV series is adapted from 1970s comic book with a plot revolving around teenagers life on Riverdale. Previous sexual fluidity research focus on data analysis of survey, observation, and history. The aim of this research is to investigate how sexual fluidity is represented on Riverdale TV series. Using Diamond`s (2009) theory of sexual fluidity, this research found that although there are some sexually fluid characters, they still follow heternormative norms to some extent."

"Homosexuality has become a common issue nowadays that can be easily encountered in many television shows. This paper examines how the issue of homosexuality is being approached in BBC's Sherlock and its fan-produced fan-fiction. It is interesting that even though the show does not attempt to offer queer representation through its plot lines, there are several queer subtexts that can be found within the show. These queer subtexts work subtly in subverting heteronormative assumptions, and they create recognizable representations of queerness in a form of the show's fan-produced fan-fiction. The show is analyzed using queer theory, and focuses on underlying tone of homoeroticism presented within the episodes between the two main characters Sherlock and John. Meanwhile, the fan-fiction is analyzed by using representation theory (1995) by Stuart Hall. The queer theory (1993) used in this article mainly consists of the definitions and concepts provided by Judith Butler. There are two major points that this paper attempts to make. The first one is to discuss homosexuality subtext represented within several episodes of the show. Sherlock, a detective series, presents several scenes that can be read using queer theory. Secondly, this paper attempts to discuss how fan-produced fan-fiction of BBC's Sherlock is able to approach homosexuality by negotiating the nature of relationship between the two characters mentioned previously."

"Remaja homoseksual sangat rentan mengalami diskriminasi dari teman sebaya yang berdampak remaja mengalami depresi, harga diri rendah, perilaku kekerasan, dan percobaan bunuh diri. Diskriminasi terjadi karena keyakinan yang negatif terhadap homoseksual yang berawal dari minimnya pengetahuan tentang homoseksual. Penelitian yang menggunakan desain deskriptif sederhana bertujuan menggambarkan tingkat pengetahuan remaja tentang homoseksual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 76,8% remaja SMA memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang kurang dan 23,2% memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang cukup. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk penelitian yang lebih lanjut mengenai tingkat pengetahuan yang dihubungkan dengan sikap remaja terhadap homoseksual untuk pencegahan dini gangguan psikososial pada remaja.

Homosexual teens are vulnerable to discrimination from other teens that resulted depression, low self-esteem, violent behavior, and suicide attempts. Discrimination in homosexual teens occurs because of the negative beliefs toward homosexual and this beliefs stems from the lack of knowledge about homosexuality. Descriptive study using simple descriptive design aims to describe the level of knowledge about homosexual teens.

The result showed that as many as 76.8% of teens who had lack the knowledge level and 23.2% who had sufficient level of knowledge. This study gives recommendation for further research regarding the level of knowledge about homosexual teens associated with the attitudes toward homosexuals for early prevention of violent behavior, depression, low self-esteem, and suicide risk in adolescents."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran keluhan sesuai Infeksi Menular Seksual (IMS), gambaran perilaku berisiko waria dalam penularan IMS dan hubungan antara keduanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan desain studi potonglintang. Partisipan penelitian sebanyak 48 waria binaan Puskesmas Kedung Badak Kota Bogor. Sebagian besar waria berada pada usia lebih dari 29 tahun, pendidikan terakhirnya SMA, belum menikah, dan homoseksual. Sebanyak 14,6% waria mengalami keluhan sesuai IMS. Berdasarkan hubungan keduanya, diketahui bahwa status pernikahan dan pemakaian NAPZA suntik memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan timbulnya keluhan sesuai IMS.

The purpose of this research is to overview symptoms in sexually transmitted infestions (STIs), risk behaviours in STI among Kedung Badak Health Cares patronage transvestities, and indicate the correlation between risk behaviour and the symptoms. This research uses quantitative method with crossectional design. The participants of this research consist of 48 Kedung Badak Health Cares patronage transvertism. The majority of transgender is more than 29 years old, the last education is SHS, unmarried, and homosexual. This research indicate that 14,6% transgender show the symptoms of STIs. The correlation has significant in marriage status and drug injections use."
