"ABSTRAKDi samping mendatangkan berbagai manfaat pada segala macam bidang, globalisasi juga berperan dalam menegakkan hegemoni Barat atas ?yang lain?. Melalui film-film produksinya, Hollywood mampu menjejalkan penggambaran yang kerap kali keliru mengenai bangsa atau ras tertentu kepada masyarakat umum demi memelihara kepentingan Amerika Serikat. Menggunakan metode analisis diskursus, penelitian ini berusaha membongkar penggambaran keliru yang terdapat dalam lima film produksi Hollywood. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa representasi di dalam kelima film dan hegemoni membentuk sebuah siklus atau lingkaran. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah upaya dekonstruksi dari sebuah konstruksi (kelima film) yang merugikan.

ABSTRACTn addition to bring a range of benefits in all sectors, globalization also has a role in upholding western hegemony over the others. Through their films production, Hollywood is able to cram the delineation about nation or a particular race to the public which is often mischaracterized in order to preserve the interests of the United States. Using the method of discourse analysis, this research tried to dismantle misrepresentations that contained in five Hollywood films. The result of this research indicated that the representations in five films and hegemony form a cycle or circle. This study is an effort of deconstruction of a adverse construction (of five movies)."

"Saat ini industri perfilman Indonesia masih fokus pada genre drama komedi, horor dan cinta. Setiap tahun film-film ini diproduksi lebih banyak daripada film-film Indonesia dengan genre lain. Di sisi lain, ada film-film Islami yang lebih memberikan keuntungan dan penjualan yang tinggi, bahkan memecahkan rekor box office film Indonesia seperti film Ayat-Ayat Cinta yang mencapai lebih dari 3 juta penonton. Apalagi film islami tidak hanya bertujuan untuk menghibur atau mendulang keuntungan, tetapi sebagai wadah dakwah kreatif yang tidak menggurui. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat potensi film Islami dalam industri perfilman Indonesia berdasarkan faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi masyarakat untuk menonton film Islami. Faktor-faktor tersebut adalah People, Script, Price, Promotion, Distribution, Word of Mouth (WOM), Attendence, Religiosity, dan Purchase Intention. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan rekomendasi kepada industri perfilman untuk memperluas diversifikasi genre film Indonesia khususnya film. Currently the Indonesian film industry still focuses on the comedy, horror and love drama genres. Each year, more of these films are produced than Indonesian films of other genres. On the other hand, there are Islamic films that provide more profit and high sales, even breaking box office records for Indonesian films such as the film Ayat-Ayat Cinta which reached more than 3 million viewers. Moreover, Islamic films are not only intended to entertain or gain profit, but as a place for creative da'wah that is not patronizing. Therefore, this study aims to see the potential of Islamic films in the Indonesian film industry based on factors that can influence people to watch Islamic films. These factors are People, Script, Price, Promotion, Distribution, Word of Mouth (WOM), Attendence, Religiosity, and Purchase Intention. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide recommendations to the film industry to expand the diversification of Indonesian film genres, especially films. "PPFN mengaku sebagai pencipta dan pemegang hak cipta atas film G30S/PKI. PPFN mengatakan bahwa pemutaran kepada publik yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah belum mendapatkan izin dari PPFN. Berdasarkan sejarah, dihetahui bahwa PPFN membuat film ini atas perintah dari Presiden Suharto pada tahun 1984. dalam hal ini, penulis mempertanyakan apakah PPFN adalah pencipta dan pemegang hak cipta yang sah atas film G30S/PKI movie, apakah film G30S/PKI masih dilindungi hak ciptanya, dan apakah PPFN dapat melarang tindakan pemutaran yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Normatif Yuridis. Penulis mengkaji permasalahan yang terjadi dan menghubungkannya dengan teori-teori terkait dan peraturan yang berlaku. Berdasarkan penelitian, penulis menemukan bahwa PPFN adalah pencipta dan pemegang hak cipta yang sah atas film G30S/PKI. Perlindungan atas film G30S/PKI masih berlaku sampai tahun 2034 berdasarkan UU Hak Cipta 28 tahun 2014. Dalam kaitannya dengan pemutarannya di publik dengan atas perintah dari Pemerintah, undang-undang hak cipta melindungi tindakan pemerintah tersebut dan mengizinkan pemerintah untuk melakukan hal tersebut tanpa harus memperoleh izin terlebih dahulu kepada PPFN, dengan syarat harus membayarkan royalti kepada PPFN selaku pemegang hak cipta film G30S/PKI.

PPFN stating that they are the creator and copyright holder of the G30S/PKI movie. PPFN stated that the public showing of G30S/PKI movie which conduct by the government action has not grant permission from PPFN. Based on history, PPFN has made this movie by command of President Suharto in the year of 1984. It is questioned whether PPFN is the legitimate creator and copyright holder of the G30S/PKI movie, and whether PPFN may prohibit the government action to make public showing of this movie. This research is using the normative juridical method. Based on the research conducted by author, author found that PPFN is the legitimate creator and copyright holder of G30S/PKI movie. G30S/PKI movie is still be protected under the Indonesian Copyright Law number 28 Year 2014 until 2034. In relation to the public showing conduct by the government, the copyright law has protecting the government action and allow the government to conduct such action without asking permission from PPFN, and has to give reward or royalty to PPFN as the copyright holder. "

"ABSTRACTPembajakan film menjadi lazim seiring tersebarnya akses Internet yang menjadi semakin umum di seluruh dunia. Akses pengunduhan film ilegal menjadi lebih mudah bagi pengguna Internet dengan adanya protokol P2P dan situs online streaming. Oleh sebab itu industry perfilman lah yang dirugikan atas perkembangan dan maraknya pembajakan film. Penelitian ini sebertujuan untuk menganalisa Undang-undang UU kekayaan intelektual IP yang berkaitan dengan film dan meninjau kemungkinan solusi untuk masalah ini. Ulasan hukum dan tinjauan pustaka dilakukan beserta dengan pembagian kuesioner. Hal ini ditemukan bahwa ketatnya UU Kekayaan Intelektual di sebuah negara berkontribusi dalam melindungi industri dari pembajakan serta inovasi dari perusahaan jasa streaming dapat menyediakan platform baru bagi industri perfilman untuk mengubah model bisnis mereka.

ABSTRACTMovie piracy becomes prevalent as the Internet becomes common all over the world. Means of accessing illegal movies are becoming easier for wide population to access such as the P2P protocols and streaming websites. The developments of the above contribute to incongruences in the motion picture industry, as they are the ones who bear the disadvantages from movie piracy. This study thus aims to analyze the Intellectual Property IP Law related to motion picture and review possible solutions to these problems. Reviews of the laws and literature were conducted and questionnaires were distributed. It is found that stringent Intellectual Property contribute in protecting the industry from piracy as well as innovation from streaming services company can provide new platform for the industry to modify their business model."
