"What would a synthetic theory of digital, media and information Literacy (DMIL) look like? Radical information literacy presents, for the first time, a theory of DMIL that synthesises the diversity of perspectives and positions on DMIL, both in the classroom and the workplace, and within the informal learning processes of society. This title is based on original analysis of how decisions are made about the relevance of information and the other resources used in learning, showing how society has privileged objective approaches (used in rule-based decision making) to the detriment of subjective and intersubjective perspectives which promote individual and community contexts. The book goes on to analyse the academic and popular DMIL literature, showing how the field may have been, consciously or unwittingly, complicit in the ‘objectification’ of learning and the disempowerment of individuals and communities. Alternative ways of conceiving the subject are then presented, towards a reversal of these trends."

"ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai literasi teknologi, literasi media dan literasi informasi, yang memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana literasi teknologi remaja di Distrik Abepura, bagaimana literasi media remaja di Distrik Abepura, bagaimana literasi informasi remaja di Distrik Abepura, serta bagaimana hubungan antara literasi teknologi, literasi media, serta literasi informasi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksplanatif, dimana responden dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja yang berada di Distrik Abepura, Papua. Pengumpulan datan dilakukan dengan melakukan penyebaran kuesioner. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik non parametrik untuk membuktikan hipotesa pada penelitian ini.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan yang positif dan kuat antara variabel literasi teknologi, literasi media serta literasi informasi.


ABSTRAK

This study discusses about the technological literacy, media literacy and information literacy, which has the goal to find out how technology, media, and information literacy of adolescents in District Abepura, and how relationship between the technological, media, and information literacy. This research is a quantitative research design with explanative, where respondents in this study are adolescents in Abepura District, Papua. Collection of compaction is done by distributing questionnaires. Data analysis methods used are non-parametric

statistical analysis to prove the hypothesis in this study. The results showed a strong positive relationship between the variables and technological, media and information literacy

"ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas tentang literasi informasi kader Posyandu Mandiri dan
Mandiri Plus di Kecamatan Sukmajaya Kota Depok. Tujuannya adalah untuk
menggambarkan literasi informasi kader Posyandu Mandiri dan Mandiri Plus di
Kecamatan Sukmajaya Kota Depok. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif
dengan desain studi kasus dan teknik pengambilan sampel accidental sampling.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan literasi informasi yang dilakukan kader
Posyandu Mandiri dan Mandiri Plus di Kecamatan Sukmajaya Kota Depok
meliputi empat hal, yaitu menentukan kebutuhan informasi, melakukan
penelusuran informasi, mengevaluasi informasi dan menggunakan informasi.
Penelitian ini menyarankan kepada kader Posyandu untuk lebih meningkatkan
literasi informasinya terutama dalam hal penelusuran informasi yang
menggunakan teknologi informasi, seperti komputer dan internet. Sedangkan
saran untuk Pemerintah Kota Depok adalah menyediakan fasilitas perpustakaan
umum di Kota Depok dan menyediakan fasilitas komputer dan internet di setiap
Posyandu.

Abstract
This undergraduate thesis discusses about information literacy Posyandu Mandiri
and Mandiri Plus cadre in Kecamatan Sukmajaya Depok City. The purpose of this
research is to describe Posyandu Mandiri and Mandiri Plus cadre in Kecamatan
Sukmajaya Depok City. The study was a qualitative research design with case
studies and sampling technique accidental sampling. The results of this study
indicate that information literacy Posyandu Mandiri and Mandiri Plus cadre in
Kecamatan Sukmajaya Depok City includes four issues, namely determine
information needs, perform a search of information, evaluating information and
using information. This study suggests to increase information literacy of cadre,
especially in terms of information retrieval using information technology, like
computers and the internet. While the suggestion for the government of Depok
City is provide public library facilities in the Depok City and provide computer
and internet facilities in every Posyandu.
