"Dewasa ini, jurnalisme sebagai sebuah industri dan profesi menghadapi tantangan terberatnya yakni turbulensi dan perubahan yang terus meningkat seperti menurunnya jumlah pendapatan dan pembaca, serta perubahan perilaku pembaca seiring meningkatnya penggunaan telepon pintar untuk mengakses dan mendistribusikan berita yang merusak model bisnis tradisional. Tesis ini menyoroti model bisnis yang diterapkan di digital news startup yang kini menjadi fenomena global dan bagaimana digital news startup menjadi model bisnis baru di industri media. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam paradigma post-positivistik dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode/strategi penelitian menggunakan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan digital news startup tidak mengubah seluruh logika model bisnis, tapi berkonsentrasi dan beradaptasi pada elemen-elemen tertentu. Sebagai sebuah digital news startup, dalam dalam aspek pendanaan, kumparan termasuk dalam kategori venture-backed for-profit, sementara pada aspek bentuk dan penyajiannya, kumparan menciptakan bentuk baru yakni perpaduan antara original-content generators dan platforms. Selanjutnya berdasarkan tipologi model bisnis media, kumparan merupakan perpaduan antara content oriented, context oriented, dan connection oriented.

Today, journalism as an industry and profession faces its toughest challenges, turbulence and ever-changing changes such as decreasing amounts of funds and readers, and changing readers behavior who use smartphones to access, consume, and shared the news that changes traditional business models. This thesis focus on a business model that is applied to digital news startups which are now a global phenomenon and how digital news startups are becoming new business models in the media industry. This research is included in the post-positivistic paradigm with qualitative methods and research methods using case studies. The results show that digital news startups do not change the entire business model, but rather organize and decide to strengthen on certain elements. As a digital news startup, in the aspect of funding, kumparan is included in the venture-backed for-profit category, while in the form and presentation aspects, kumparan creates a new form of integration between original-content generators and platforms. Furthermore, based on the typology of the media business model, kumparan is a combination of content oriented, context oriented, and connection oriented."

"Ruang pamer dalam Museum masih banyak yang belum dapat menerapkan rancangan yang inklusif bagi penyandang tunanetra. Kemajuan teknologi dapat menjadi solusi untuk menghadirkan media pamer multisensori yang inklusif bagi penyandang tunanetra. Namun sayangnya masih belum banyak ditemukan di museum-museum di Indonesia. Berangkat dari kondisi tersebut, karya tulis ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana elemen interaktif digital dengan pemanfaatan indra peraba dan suara dapat mengakomodasi pengunjung penyandang tunanetra dalam memperoleh ilmu pengetahuan di ruang pamer museum. Kajian dalam karya tulis ini dilakukan dengan menganalisis empat studi kasus dengan variabel analisa yang sama. Objek yang dikaji diantaranya adalah “Wise Stone”, “Tooteko”, 3D Photo Works, dan “Hands to the Wall”. Keempat kasus dikaji berdasarkan aspek umum, aspek pengalaman eksploratif, dan cara penggunaan. Hasil akhir dari karya tulis ini adalah, dapat dilihat bahwa pemanfaatan indra peraba dan pendengaran sebagai elemen eksploratif pada media pamer dapat membantu mengakomodasi pengunjung ruang pamer yang menyandang tunanetra. Adanya perkembangan teknologi digital dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pembentuk media dan pemicu interaktivitas pengunjung melalui integrasi multisensori saat mengeksplorasi media pamer.

There are still many display rooms in the Museum that have not implemented inclusive design for blind people. Technological advances can offer a solution to present inclusive multisensory exhibition media for blind people. But unfortunately, there are still not many found in museums in Indonesia. Based on these conditions, this paper aims to understand how digital interactive elements by using the senses of touch and sound can accommodate visitors with visual impairments in gaining knowledge in the Museum's showroom. The study in this paper was conducted by analyzing four case studies with similar analysis variables. The objects studied include "Wise Stone," "Tooteko," 3D Photo Works, and "Hands to the Wall." The four cases were analyzed based on general aspects, aspects of exploratory experience, and ways of use. The study concludes that the use of the senses of touch and hearing as an experimental element in the exhibition media can help accommodate visitors with visual impairments to the exhibition room. The development of digital technology can be used as a medium for forming and triggering visitor interactivity through multisensory integration when exploring exhibition media."
