The specific bacteria in forests and on oil palm plantations are lipolytic bacteria. Their enzymes have been applied in the agro-aquaculture, food, detergent, pharmaceutical, dairy, and biodiesel-biokerosene industries. This study describes the diversity of cultivable lipolytic bacteria from soil and aquatic sediment in a forest and on an oil palm plantation and their fatty acid products. Soil samples used in this research were obtained from topsoil in a lowland forest and on an oil palm plantation and from sediments in fresh water near these sites. The forest is located in Bukit Duabelas National Park, and the oil palm plantation is near the forest in Sarolangun District, Jambi Province, Indonesia. Twenty-two isolates of lypolitic bacteria were selected from 32 isolates grown in lipolytic selective medium. The 22 consisted of 11 isolates from topsoil and 11 from aquatic sediment from the forest and plantation area. These isolates were identified by 16S rRNA-sequence data analysis. Taxonomically, they belonged to five genera: Burkholderia, Cupriavidus, Serratia, Acinetobacter, and Kurthia. The maximum likelihood tree showed that they are phylogenetically distributed in three clusters. They were clustered into three groups: the Burkholderia-Cupriavidus group, the Serratia-Acinetobacter group, and the Kurthia group. Their lipolytic enzymes formed various fatty acids after analysis by gas chromatography-flame ionization detector (GC-FID). Some isolates formed essential fatty acids, such as linoleic, linolenic, arachidonic, eicosapentanoic acid (EPA), and docosahexanoic acid (DHA)."

"ABSTRACT
The Oil derrived from the oil palm plant has become one of the most contested agricultural commodities in Southeast Asia, and development of novel uses for it is in high demand. Trehalose fatty acid esters have begun attracting attention due to their specific potent applications (based on the exceptional intrinsic properties of the hydrophilic trehalose part) and their amphiphilicity. In order to enhance the usability of palm products and trehalose fatty acid esters, in this present study we focused on the use of trehose fatty acid monoesters (TMEs) prepared with natural fatty acids extracted from oil palms as cryoprotectants.

Deep Eutectic Solvent (DES) is a solvent that can be used for the extraction of free fatty acids from palm kernel oil. This solvent has low toxicity and does not reduce the content of antioxidant compounds in PKO/CPKO. Research on the extraction of free fatty acids using DES based on choline chloride and polyalcohol has been proven effective in extracting palmitic acid from palm oil. The objective of this study is to use choline chloride-based DES with 1,2-hexanediol as the hydrogen bond donor (HBD) at various molar ratios to examine its solubility towards lauric acid in PKO. Additionally, the extraction of lauric acid from PKO is performed to determine the number of extraction stages required to achieve a free fatty acid content in PKO below 0.3%. Furthermore, the interaction between DES and different fatty acid contents in the oil is investigated. The screening results identified the best DES with choline chloride as the hydrogen bond acceptor (HBA) and 1,2-hexanediol as the HBD, at a molar ratio of 1:8, which effectively separated free fatty acids from a palm kernel oil model with a maximum extraction efficiency of 61.0%. Moreover, it was found that four extraction stages were required to reduce the free fatty acid content in the palm kernel oil model below the 0.3% threshold specified by the SNI 2012 quality standard. Different interactions of DES in extracting different free fatty acids from palm kernel oil were observed, where an increase of two carbon atoms in the fatty acid led to an 11% decrease in the extraction yield of DES."

The fatty acid sucrose ester compound has been successfully synthesized through an esterification reaction between the two variations of fatty acids is fatty acid hydrolysis of palm oil and palmitic acid with sucrose enzymatically using Candida rugosa lipase enzyme. Reaction optimization was performed on variations in the molar ratio between sucrose and fatty acid 1 0.2 1 0.4 1 0.6 and 1 0.8. The solvent used was n hexane with a ratio of 1 1 v v substrates. The weight of the enzyme used is 5 of the total weight of the substrate. The optimum conditions of sucrose palmitate ester formation and fatty acid sucrose hydrolyzate acid esters were obtained at a ratio of 1 0.8, 38.23 and 24.15, respectively. The identification using FTIR indicates a typical absorption band for the C O ester group at the 1735 cm 1 wave number for the sucrose palmitate ester and 1734 cm 1 for the sucrose fatty acid sucrose ester. The palmitate sucrose ester and sucrose hydrolyzate ester have the ability to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria but not Eschericia coli bacteria. The largest inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria was found in a 1 0.2 molar ratio with the largest inhibitory diameter for a palmitate sucrose ester of 13 mm, while a sucrose hydrolyzate ester of 10 mm."

"Abstrak
The chief purpose of this paper is to analyze the formation and growth of oil palm plantation enterprises in postcolonial Indonesia. Most of the oil palm plantation enterprises in Indonesia are incorporated businesses organized as limited companies (perseroan terbatas, PT). Amendments of the corporate charters of limited companies concerning their formation, increase in capital, executive appointments, and so on must be reported to the government. Each amendment is announced by an Appendix of the State Gazette (Tambahan Berita Negara Republik Indonesia, TBN RI), which is annually printed, bound, and stored by the State Printing Office (Percetakan Negara Republik Indonesia, PNRI). Using data from these official documents for the period until 1999, this article presents an outline of the development of oil palm plantation enterprises mainly in the 1980s and 1990s. It contains the profiles of top class business groups such as Asian Agri, Astra Agro, Salim (Indoagri), and Sinar Mas, as well as some second class groups among the nearly 500 corporate enterprises that were engaged in the oil palm plantation business."

"ABSTRAK
Reduction of free fatty acid (FFA) in used palm oil was determined after treatment of waste cooking oil with an adsorbent derived from coffee bean husk ash. Coffee husks were burned at 600 ºC for 12 hrs to obtain the adsorbent ash. Free fatty acid removal efficiency was optimized with respect to ash dosage, contact time and temperature. It was found that shaking ash (1 g) with waste palm oil (50 g) at 250 rpm and 30°C for 330 min gave the highest reduction in free fatty acids (FFA) (1966 mg/g). The adsorption isotherm was followed by Temkin (R2 = 0.9283) and Freundlich models (R2 = 0.9146). The adsorption of FFA at all adsorbent doses followed pseudo-second order kinetics (R2 = 0.9817-0.9999). A thermodynamic study revealed that the changes in enthalpy, entropy and Gibbs free energy were 89.07 kJ/mol, -0.25 kJ/mol.K and -5.15 to -12.17 kJ/mol, respectively. The coffee husk ash (5 g ash / 50 g waste palm oil) was found to reduce FFA by 100% at 30°C.

The addition of food waste substrate and waste oils and fats has the potential to produce VFA accumulation which has an impact on the imbalance of the AD process. This research was aimed to determine the suitability between of fat, oil, and grease FOG wastes, and food waste and cow mannure that was operated using AD on effluent quality parameter by identifying the relationship between VFA and LCFA accumulation in the formation of biogas and VSD. This research was conducted for 245 days used Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor CSTR with it area of capacity 400 by its averages temperature and pH, were 29 0,90 C and pH 6,2 0,71, respectively. To operate the reactor using Organic Loading Rate OLR 10 Kg VS m3.2 3day and steering 30 rpm for 4 hours day. The study consisted of three variations, consisting of variation 1 food waste and cow mannure in the ratio of 9 1 , variation 2 waste of fat, oil, and grease with food waste and cow mannure in the ratio of 1 7 , and variation 3 waste of fat, oil, and grease with food waste and cow mannure with a ratio of 1 2. In steady state conditions, Variation 1 shows the average COD reduction reached 54,24 7,11 VSD 75.81 6,47 ammonia 1,17 6,74 and pH 6,0 3,87, respectively. The addition of FOG waste with variation 2 have significantly different test results with variation 1 characterized by a test T with a 95 confidence level. The test results of variation 2 obtained that the average reduction of COD reached 57,6 6,9 VSD 88,9 5,49 ammonia 1,08 11,55 pH 5,82 3,6, and a final process VFA TA ratio of 0,36 indicating that the AD process is stable and there is no accumulation of VFA and LCFA, respectively. While the addition of FOG waste variation 3 more efficient in treating FOG waste using AD reagent food waste as evidenced by the reduction of COD above 50 with a range of 52.21 68.27 and average VSD 93.46, a final process VFA TA ratio of 0,69 indicates that some instability will occur in the AD process, however, there is no VFA accumulation in and LCFA in variation 3 with produce highest biogas volume up to 980 L day.
