"As the result of business globalization and telecommunication deregulation, today the competition condition in Indonesia telecommunication involved not only national private sectors but also other country state owned enterprises. TELKOM today is the only one national flag carrier of Indonesia that competes in the domestic for telecommunications products as well as telecommunications services. Hence, it is mandatory fix TELKOM to implement competitive intelligence based on survivability and probity mason to east in the competitive environment.
The essential products of competitive intelligence are strategic recommendation and tactical recommendation. Competitive analysis and competitor analysis can be used as the powerful engine for competitive intelligence analysis, because both of them can analyzes maims and positions in the competitive environment.
There are two main objectives of the thesis. Fast is to build competitive strategy recommendation based on Competitive Analysis on TELKOMFlexi-Jakarta. The recommendation is the guidance for strategic level implementation. Second is to build product/service portfolio recommendation based on competitor analysis on TELKOMFlexi-Jakarta. The recommendation is the guidance for tactical level implementation.
All the analysis is the based on the case study of TELKOMFlexi-Jakarta and its external environment. Soon or later TELKOMFlexi-Jakarta will become the product to deliver central of gravity of TELKOM. Moreover, Jakarta contributes the highest revenue for various businesses including telecommunication field, therefore Jakarta exists as the most competitive environment not only in telecommunication but also in other businesses sectors.
The theoretical background for the thesis is based on inters disciplinary approach. Firstly is intelligence system that also related with marketing intelligence and business intelligence, then followed by competitive intelligence theory. Moreover, TELKOMFlexi is one of the latest cellular network services therefore in the next part of the literature review explains about cellular networks background. The last part of the literature review describes strategic synthesis; the synthesis is used as the main outcome in the analysis.
As organizational background, the thesis explains critical review of relevant theories/models then follows by the explanation of critical review of relevant policies and critical review of existing studies. For better understanding of the in Indonesia cellular networks competition in the last part pout out Indonesia cellular networks competition map. In the last part, the organizational background describes organization response for implementing competitive intelligence.
The analysis of the thesis is based on competitor analysis and competitive analysis as the competitive intelligence analysis in TELKOM. The first part of the analysis introduces the subject of research methods and research techniques. The next parts are competitive analysis and competitor analysis.
The analysis that is based on the competitor analysis should be done in a shorter time rather than the analysis based on the competitive analysis. The reason is the result of SWOT analysis as well as product and service analysts is only the current analysis, so it can not be projected in the long period. Therefore product/service portfolio recommendation is published in the short period rather than competitive strategy recommendation based on competitive analysis.
The competitive strategy recommendation gives the consideration that TELKOMFlexi should focus on surprises strategy, responsiveness strategy and development strategy, regardless the zone. Meanwhile, product/service portfolio recommendation focuses on aggressive strategy, diversification strategy, aggressive strategy, and defensive strategy. The used of the competitive strategy recommendation and development strategy are related with the real condition and position respects to exacting service in particular product on specific geographical area."

"DSM Melamine (DMM) adalah produser melamine terbesar di dunia dengan total kapasitas terpasang 250.000 ton/tahun. DSM Melamine yang berkantor pusat di Belanda mempunyai 3 unit produksi yaitu: DSM Melamine Europe (DME), DSM Melamine America (DMA), DSM KALTIM Melamine (DKM). Tahun 2004, DMM menguasai pangsa pasar 18% (dari total konsumsi melamine) di dunia. Sedangkan Agrolinz Melamine International (AMI) yang berada di urutan kedua dengan menguasai 13% dari pangsa pasar.
Persaingan melamine di Asia Pasifik sangat ketat jika dibandingkan belahan dunia yang lain, terutama dibanding Eropa dan Amerika. DMM, yang dalam hal ini terwakili dengan keberadaan DKM yang berlokasi di Indonesia, selain harus bersaing dengan produser lokal (Jepang, Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, dan China), juga harus bersaing ketat dengan AMI di beberapa negara untuk mempertahankan posisinya sebagai market leader.
DKM harus menghadapi multimarket competition dengan AMI karena harus saling berhadapan di berbagai pasar di Asia Pasifik. Untuk memenangkan persaingan DKM memerlukan informasi yang relefan dan akurat dalam penyusunan strategi bersaing yang efektif. Peran Competitive Intelligence sangat diperlukan tidak hanya dalam menganalisa posisi DKM terhadap pesaing, tetapi juga menganalisa ketidakpastian yang dominan pada skenario yang dikembangkan perusahaan.
DMM mempunyai Business Intelligence (BI) yang bekerja secara terintegrasi dengan BI yang berada di masing-masing unitnya untuk mendapatkan, mengolah, dan menyusun data menjadi suatu informasi yang berguna secara akurat dan tepat waktu. Data yang diperoleh dirangkum dalam Melamine Handbook, Customer Data Base, Market Study, Competitor Analysis Review dan Melamlntelligence yang kemudian dapat diolah secara comprehensive guna membantu penyusunan skenario industri dan strategi perusahaan."

Dalam pelaksanaan prosedur pendaftaran atau registrasi tersebut, industri terkait dalam hal ini industri farmasi memerlukan bagian yang dapat mengetahui, mengerti, dan memahami secara jelas pelaksanaan prosedur registrasi tersebut, persyaratan yang diperlukan, dan peraturan perundang-undangan terkait. Regulatory Affairs merupakan bagian tersebut dan menjadi penghubung antara pihak industri dengan pihak pemerintah dalam hal ini BPOM dan KemenKes. Apoteker sebagai salah satu tenaga kesehatan profesional, tentunya berperan di Regulatory Affairs karena salah satu tanggung jawab seorang apoteker adalah menjamin kesehatan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, calon apoteker perlu diberikan pembekalan ilmu dan informasi yang lebih mendalam mengenai Regulatory Affairs sehingga memahami tentang tugas dan fungsinya.

Pharmaceutical industy is a business entity that has a license from the Minister of Health to conduct the manufacture of medicines or medicines ingredients. Every industry, both domestic and foreign which will market its products in Indonesia must go through the registration process prior to BPOM or the Ministry of Health to register their products. In the implementation of the registration procedure, pharmaceutical industry requires division to understand the implementation of the registration procedure, the necessary requirements, and related regulation. Regulatory Affairs is the part and be a liaison between the industry and the government institution, BPOM and the Ministry of Health. Pharmacists as one of the health professionals, play a role in Regulatory Affairs due to responsibilities of a pharmacist is to ensure public health. Therefore, pharmacists should be given a knowledge and in-depth information on Regulatory Affairs to understand their duties and functions.
The purpose of this profession internship are to understand the role, duties and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry; have the insight, knowledge, skills, and practical experience in working in the pharmaceutical industry, especially regulatory affairs; understand the registation process of products, whether medicines, biologics, traditional medicines, food, cosmetics, medical devices, home medical supplies and equipment. The role of pharmacists at the Regulatory Affairs is to register the product begins of preparing all documents as required to submit registration documents to the regulator.

"Asuransi merupakan industri yang berbasiskan pada layanaan produk baik asuransi jiwa maupun asuransi umum. Pembuatan produk sangat mengandalkan prediksi untuk penentuan tarif premi, khusus untuk asuransi jiwa prediksi mencakup: prediksi mortalitas, morbiditas, tingkat investasi dan biaya-biaya yang diambil dari premi yang dibayarkan nasabah. Volume data yang besar dan berada pada tempat yang terpisah menyulitkan untuk proses analisis dan membutuhkan waktu yang relatif lama. Untuk membantu melakukan analisis dan prediksi diatas salah satunya dengan menggunakan Business Intelligence yang merupakan salah satu tools untuk melakukan prediksi dibantu dengan analisis dari data mining yang sumber datanya diambil dari data warehouse berbasis model dimensional dan merupakan kumpulan data operasional yang terintegrasi. Pemodelan data warehouse sendiri tidak terlepas dari analisis proses bisnis dan analisis data operasional yang tersimpan. Untuk analisis proses bisnis digunakan tehnik value chain yang dapat menggambarkan aktifitas utama organisasi dan aktifitas pendukungnya dibantu dengan tehnik analisis balanced scorecard untuk menentukan indikator-indikator utamanya. Data yang digunakan terdiri dari analisis dimensi produk asuransi yang dijual, polis yang diterbitkan dan klaim yang terjadi, selanjutnya dibantu dengan visualisasi pola yang dihasilkan data mining dapat diambil kesimpulan mengenai pola-pola yang terjadi dimasa mendatang tentang penjualan produk, klaim dan polis yang terbit.
Insurance is one of industries which is based on product services, life insurance and general insurance. Products are created rely on prediction in determining prime cost. Especially for life insurance, the prediction consists of that is contains of mortality rate, morbidity rate, investment rate and cost earned from customers prime. In insurance industry, data volume is big and located in separated systems. This condition will make product services analysis difficult and need a lot of time. To help enhance the analysis and prediction, Business Intelligence. It could be used as a tool which do the prediction with data mining analysis which source came from data warehouse. The data warehouse is based on dimentional model and it is a set of integrated operational data. Data warehouse?s model itself was unseparated from business process analysis and stored operational data analysis. The value chain technique was used to analyze business process that can describe organizations general activity and its supported activity. Balanced scorecard was used to determine the main indicators. Data used in this study came from the result of sold insurance product dimension analysis, published policy and claim. Next, data mining is used for classification visualization resulted. The result of analysis was integrated-data that was individual life, group life dan health onto data warehouse. The integrated data was classified with predictive value technique that created sold-product model, claim model, and published policy model."
