"Risiko kecelakaan dan masalah kesehatan pada pilot akibat kelelahan mempunyai dampak yang sangat besar jika seorang pilot mengambil suatu keputusan dalam suatu penerbangan. Berbagai penelitian dan laporan kasus membuktikan kelelahan pada pilot masih banyak terjadi. Analisis faktor risiko kelelahan dilakukan untuk mengetahui kelelahan pada pilot pesawat komersial. Untuk mengetahui kelelahan pada pilot menggunakan Samn-Perelli Subjective Scale. Studi kasus dilakukan di PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross-sectional yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel independen dan dependen dan diteliti secara bersamaan dalam satu waktu. Peneliti menggunakan instrumen kuesioner dalam mengumpulkan data dan melakukan wawancara berstruktur dengan beberapa pilot. Penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan faktor kelelahan yang tidak terkait dengan pekerjaan dan faktor kelelahan yang terkait dengan pekerjaan dengan kelelahan pada pilot. Perusahaan perlu mempertahankan program yang sudah dijalankan oleh PT. Garuda Indonesia seperti limitasi waktu terbang, waktu tugas serta periode waktu istirahat untuk mengurangi kelelahan pada pilot.
The risk of accidents and health problems in a result of pilot fatigue will bring a big impact on decision making during the flight. Some case studies and reports prove that pilot fatigue is still occured. Risk factor analysis is conducted to review and determine fatigue on pilot. Samn-Perelli subjective scale is being used in this study to determine the fatigue of pilot. Case studies is conducted in PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Jakarta. Cross-sectional method is used as a design study to review the relationship between the dependent variable at one time. Researchers used a questionnaire instruments to collect data and conduct interviews to several pilots. This research analyze the relationship between fatigue work related factors and fatigue work non-related factors with pilot fatigue. Company needs to maintain the company's program such as as flight and duty time limitation, rest period to reduce the fatigue."

Kelelahan pada operator ground support equipment dalam kegiatan ground handling pesawat di area ramp berisiko tinggi menyebabkan insiden dan kecelakaan yang dapat menimbulkan kerugian besar terutama bagi maskapai penerbangan, pekerja ground handling dan operasi bandara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kelelahan pada operator ground support equipment yang menangani pesawat wide body PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif-analitik dengan metode kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling yang berjumlah 80 responden. Data dianalisis dengan uji chi square. Fatigue Severity Scale digunakan sebagai instrumen untuk mengukur kelelahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur, waktu commuting dan waktu istirahat secara signifikan berasosiasi terhadap kelelahan pada operator ground support equipment. Faktor individu dalam penelitian ini berperan besar terhadap terjadinya kelelahan sehingga diharapkan pekerja dapat mengelola waktu pribadi dan mengoptimalkan waktu istirahat ketika bekerja untuk mengurangi kelelahan

"Fatigue is essential in the aviation field because it affects many passenger`s safety. Garuda Indonesia is National Airline which operates as a Flag Carrier, and most importantly as the state owned air transportation provider of the largest archipelago national, which cover three different time zones. The purpose of this study is to analyze factors that affect airline pilot fatigue at Boeing 737 fleet of Garuda Indonesia, which fly domestic and regional flights. While most of the research related to human fatigue in the aviation industry has focused on long-haul pilots since the exposure of their duties towards jet lag, short-haul pilots also experience elevated levels of fatigue caused by their flight operation. As the nature of the Boeing B737 aircraft operation, this study concentrates on short to medium haul, less than 8 hours flight time per flight sector, or
multiple flight sectors a day, with the set of two pilots for each rotation pattern. Fatigue is classified into physical decline, mental decline, and rest defects; and pilot fatigue in Boeing 737 pilot of Garuda Indonesia is affected by seven variables Duty Assignment, Personal Lifestyle, Working Environment, Rest Environment, Crew Pairing, Unresolved Stress, Illness. Finding the variables and the phenomenon of factors which contributes to pilot fatigue in Garuda Indonesias Boeing B737 pilot can also contribute to pilot fatigue management.

Kelelahan sangat penting dibidang penerbangan karena mempengaruhi keselamatan banyak orang. Garuda Indonesia adalah maskapai penerbangan nasional yang beroperasi sebagai Flag Carrier, dan juga sebagai BUMN penyedia transportasi udara dari negara kepulauan terbesar di dunia, yang mencakup tiga zona waktu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kelelahan penerbang armada Boeing 737 di Garuda Indonesia, yang menerbangkan penerbangan
domestik serta regional. Sementara sebagian besar penelitian yang terkait dengan kelelahan manusia pada industri penerbangan lebih berkonsentrasi terhadap penerbang rute jarak jauh, dikarenakan tugas mereka rentan terpapar jet-lag, penerbang rute jarak pendek juga mengalami peningkatan tingkat kelelahan yang disebabkan oleh karakter operasional dari penerbangan mereka. Sesuai dengan kemampuan operasional dari pesawat Boeing B737, studi ini berkonsentrasi pada penerbang jarak pendek hingga menengah, dengan waktu penerbangan kurang dari 8 jam per sektor penerbangan, atau beberapa sektor penerbangan per hari, dengan komposisi dua penerbang pada setiap rotasi penerbangan. Kelelahan diklasifikasikan menjadi penurunan kemampuan fisik, penurunan kemampuan mental, dan kurang istirahat; dan kelelahan pilot pada pilot Boeing 737 Garuda Indonesia dipengaruhi oleh tujuh variabel-Tugas, Gaya Hidup, Lingkungan Kerja, Lingkungan Istirahat, Rekan Kerja, Stres yang Tidak Terselesaikan,
serta Penyakit Medis. Identifikasi dari variabel serta fenomena faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap kelelahan pilot di pilot Boeing B737 Garuda Indonesia akan dapat berkontribusi untuk manajemen kelelahan penerbang."

Penelitian ini dilakukan bulan April hingga Juli 2016 pada operator alat berat di area 1 tambang Bukit Karang Putih. Jumlah responden penelitian 50 orang. penelitian kuantitatif observasional, metode cross-sectional. Pengukuran kelelahan menggunakan kuesioner skala Occupational Fatigue Exhaustion Recovery (OFER) dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa 48% responden mempunyai potensi kelelahan akut sedang, 44% potensi kelelahan akut pada operator dump truck, shift kerja mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan terhadap potensi kelelahan akut tinggi dan sedang (p value = 0.027). diharapkan PT Semen Padang memberikan edukasi tentang faktor risiko kelelahan pada operator alat berat.

Fatigue is one of the cause of accidents. The objective of this study is to examine acute fatigue potential based on a Occupational Fatigue Exhaustion Recovery (OFER) scale and types of heavy equipment, analyze the relationship between work-related fatigue (duration, workload and shift work), response to non-work-related fatigue (age, nutritional status, commuting time, the number of hours of sleep) with the occurrence of fatigue on heavy equipment operator. This research was conducted from April until July 2016 at heavy equipment operator in the mine area 1 Bukit Karang Putih. Number of study respondents 50 people. The study is observational quantitative research with cross-sectional method. Measurement of fatigue using a OFER scale and the results show that 48% of respondents experiencing moderate acute fatigue, 44% of dump truck experiencing high acute fatigue, shift has significant correlation with high and moderate acute fatigue potential (p value = 0.027). recomendation to company PT Semen Padang to provide education or training about risk factor fatigue to heavy equipment operator."

"Latar belakang : Hiperkolesterolemia antara lain menjadi faktor risiko penyakit jantung koroner dan komplikasinya dapat menyebabkan inkapasitasi pada pilot. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi hubungan kebiasaan makan lemak dan faktor lainnya terhadap risiko hiperkolesterolemia pada pilot sipil di Indonesia.
Metode : Penelitian menggunakan metode potong lintang dengan sampel purposif pada pilot sipil di Balai Kesehatan Penerbangan Jakarta tanggal 18-29 Mei 2015. Karakteristik demografi, pekerjaan, kebiasaan diperoleh melalui wawancara. Data kolesterol total diperoleh dari laboratorium yang telah dikalibrasi. Kategori kolesterol total dibagi dua yaitu hiperkolesterolemia ( ≥ 240 mg/dl) dan normal (< 200 mg/dl). Analisis menggunakan risiko relatif yaitu regresi Cox dengan waktu konstan.
Hasil : Di antara 690 pilot yang melakukan pemeriksaan medis, 428 subjek bersedia mengikuti penelitian. Subjek yang diikutsertakan dalam analisis sebanyak 327 pilot, 12,3% memiliki hiperkolesterolemia dan 87,7% memiliki kadar kolesterol normal. Subjek dengan kebiasaan makan lemak hampir setiap hari dibandingkan hampir tidak pernah berisiko 3,8 kali lipat lebih besar hiperkolesterolemia [risiko relatif suaian (RRa)=3,78; p=0,223]. Subjek dengan usia 50-65 tahun dibandingkan dengan 19-34 tahun berisiko 1,8 kali lipat lebih besar hiperkolesterolemia (RRa=1,82; p=0,103). Selanjutnya subjek dengan riwayat hiperkolesterolemia dibandingkan tanpa riwayat hiperkolesterolemia berisiko 2,1 kali lipat lebih besar hiperkolesterolemia (RRa=2,13; p=0,118).
Simpulan : Kebiasaan makan lemak hampir tiap hari, usia 50 tahun atau lebih, riwayat keluarga hiperkolesterolemia dalam keluarga meninggikan risiko hiperkolesterolemia di antara pilot sipil di Indonesia.

Background : Hypercholesterolemia becoming one of a risk factor for coronary heart disease and complications may cause the pilots incapacitation. The purpose of this study was to identify eating fatty food habits and other factors and the risk of hypercholesterolemia in civilian pilots in Indonesia.
Methods : A cross sectional study with purposive sampling was conducted in civilian pilots at Indonesian Aviation Medical Center in Jakarta from 18-29 May, 2015. Demogrhapic characteristics, employment, habits was obtained through interviews. Total cholesterol data obtained from laboratory test had been calibrated. Category of cholesterol total was divided into hypercholesterolemia (≥ 240 mg/dl) and normal (<200 mg/dl). Analysis using risk relative by Cox regression with a constant time.
Result : Among the 690 pilots who conducted medical examination, 428 subjects agree to join the study. This analysis included 327 pilots, 12.3% had hypercholesterolemia, and 87.7% normal cholesterol levels. The subjects who had eating fatty food habits almost every day compared to almost never, had 3.8 fold higher risk to be hypercholesterolemia [adjusted relative risk (RRa)=3.78; p=0.223]. The subject aged of 50-65 years compared to 19-34 years, had 1.8 fold higher risk to be hypercholesterolemia (RRa=1.82; p=0.103). Furthermore, subjects with a family history of hypercholesterolemia compared with no family history, had 2.1 fold higher risk to be hypercholesterolemia (RRa=2.13; p=0.118).
Conclusions : Having eating fatty food habits almost every day, age 50 and over, history of hypercholesterolemia elevate the risk of hypercholesterolemia.

"Tingginya kebutuhan manusia yang harus dipenuhi menyebabkan peningkatan produksi di berbagai sektor industri. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan memberlakukan sistem shift kerja. Penerapan sistem shift kerja ini berdampak kepada kelelahan pada pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kelelahan pada operator plastic injection di PT X. Faktor yang diteliti merupakan faktor karakteristik pekerja (umur, masa kerja, kondisi kesehatan, dan kuantitas tidur) dan faktor pekerjaan (shift kerja, waktu istirahat, commuting time, dan pekerjaan tambahan). Pengukuran kelelahan pada operator diukur dengan menggunakan Fatigue Severity Scale. Penelitian ini bersifat subjektif analitik dengan menggunakan desain studi cross sectional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa sebanyak 99 orang atau 46,5% pekerja mengalami kelelahan. Selain itu juga dapat diketahui bahwa masa kerja, kondisi kesehatan, dan kuantitas tidur mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan terhadap kelelahan pada operator plastic injection. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengendalian terhadap kelelahan, baik dari pihak manajemen maupun operator itu sendiri.

Nowadays, the number of human need's demand is always tending to increase. In order to meet with that high demand of human needs, many industries try to increase their production activity supported by a shift work system. But in the reality, we almost find some complaint about a fatigue worker. This research aim to learn about several factors that causes a fatigue among plastic injection operator at PT X. That factors are divided into personal factors (age, years of services, worker's health condition, and a quantity of sleep) and work condition factors (shift system, break time, commuting time, and worker's second job). This research is using a subjective analytical method which is measured by a Fatigue Severity Scale with cross sectional design. The result of this research shows that 99 persons or 46.5% of plastic injection operator at PT X is experienced fatigue, and years of service, worker's health condition, and quantity of sleep factors are significantly related with the fatigue among plastic injection operator. Due to the result of this research, either the management of PT X or the workers itself have to manage that fatigue."

"Latar belakang: Peningkatan alanine aminotransferase (ALT) dapat terjadi secara asimtomatis. Tes fungsi hati sering ditemukan abnormal pada dikalangan penerbang, dengan sedikit peningkatan kecil dalam satu atau dua parameter enzim hati, penyebab yang paling sering adalah perlemakan hati non alkoholik dan efek minor dari alkohol. Walaupun tidak mempengaruhi sertifikasi kesehatan pada penerbang sipil tetapi peningkatan ALT dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan dari penerbang itu sendiri dan akan mempengaruhi keselamatan penerbangan. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menghubungkan dengan kadar ALT pada penerbang sipil di Indonesia.
Metode: Metode potong lintang yang dilakukan 5-26 Mei 2014 pada penerbang sipil yang melakukan kesehatan berkala di Balai Kesehatan Penerbangan dengan sampling purposif dan analisis regresi Cox. Pengumpulan data dengan mengisi kuesioner dan data ALT diambil dari laboratorium. Pemeriksaan tinggi badan, berat badan dan lingkar pinggang dilakukan oleh peneliti. Kadar ALT meningkat jika ≥41 U/l.
Hasil: Diantara 785 subjek yang mengikuti pemeriksaan kesehatan berkala terdapat 314 yang menjadi subjek penelitian. Persentase peningkatan ALT pada penelitian ini sebesar 31,8%. Faktor risiko dominan terhadap peningkatan ALT pada penerbang sipil di Indonesia adalah lingkar pinggang ≥90 cm [risiko relatif (RRa) = 2,00; p = 0,001] yang mempunyai peningkatan 2 kali jika dibandingkan dengan lingkar pinggang yg <90 cm, selanjutnya obesitas meningkatkan risiko peningkatan kadar ALT, meskipun secara statistik tidak signifikan (RRa = 1,75; 95% CI = 0,97-3,17; p = 0.062).
Simpulan: Penerbang sipil dengan lingkar pinggang ≥90 cm atau dengan obesitas mempunyai risiko lebih besar mengalami peningkatan ALT.

Background: Elevated serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) may occur in asymptomatic. Liver function tests are frequently found to be abnormal in among aviators, with small elevations in one or two liver enzyme parameters. The most common cause is non-alcoholic fatty liver and minor effects of alcohol. This will affect the health of aviators which affect flight safety. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that connect with ALT levels in commercial pilot in Indonesia.
Methods: A cross-sectional study on May 5-26Th 2014 in commercial pilots who doing medical check up at Civil Aviation Medical Center, with purposive sampling and cox regression analysis. The collection of data by filling in a questionnaire and ALT data taken from the laboratory. The examination height, weight and waist circumference was conducted by researchers. Elevated serum ALT ≥ 41 U/l.
Results: Among 785 commercial pilots only 314 were willing to participate it in study and 31,8 % had eleveted serum ALT in this study. The dominant risk factor to the elevated of ALT in commercial pilots in Indonesia is waist circumference ≥90 cm [Relative risk (RRa=2.00; p=0,001)]#who have an increased 2 fold when compared with that waist circumference <90 cm, furthermore obesity increases the risk of elevated levels of ALT, although it was not statistically significant (RRa=1.75; 95% CI=0.97-3.17; p=0.062).
Conclusion: Commercial pilot who had waist circumference ≥90 cm or who obese had elevated serum ALT.

"Berkembangnya sektor Jasa Konstruksi yang semakin kompleks dan tingginya persaingan, seringkali menuntut pekerja bekerja maksimal sehingga kesehatan pekerja terabaikan. Hal ini berdampak pada kelelahan kerja, yang dapat memicu kecelakaan kerja. Penelitian ini ingin mengkaji hubungan antara faktor risiko kelelahan dengan kejadian kelelahan pada pekerja konstruksi di PT. X tahun 2022. Data terkait faktor diluar pekerjaan (usia, status gizi/IMT, dan masa kerja), dan faktor pekerjaan (durasi kerja, beban kerja, dan suhu lingkungan kerja) terhadap terjadinya kelelahan pekerja proyek PT. X diteliti menggunakan kuesioner, dengan desain penelitian analitik semi- kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Data kuesioner dianalisis untuk melihat gambaran kelelahan kerja dan hubungan dua variabel menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 33% responden mengalami kelelahan kerja sedang dan 67% kelelahan kerja rendah. Dari uji diferensial, terdapat hubungan antara status gizi (IMT), durasi kerja dan beban kerja (p 0,000) terhadap kelelahan kerja. Sedangkan faktor usia (p 0.426), masa kerja (p 0.412) dan suhu lingkungan kerja (p 1,000) tidak berhubungan dengan kelelahan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa beberapa variabel yang diteliti terbukti berhubungan dengan kelelahan kerja pada pekerja konstruksi di PT. X. Rekomendasi terkait fatigue management perlu dijalankan oleh manajemen dan pekerja guna meminimalisir dan mengendalikan kelelahan serta meningkatkan produktifitas kerja di tempat kerja.

The development of Construction Services sector which is increasingly complex and high competition, often demands workers to work optimally so that their health is neglected. This has an impact on fatigue, which can lead to work accidents. This study aims to examine the relationship between fatigue risk factors and fatigue in construction workers at PT. X 2022. The data of non-work related factors (age, BMI, and years of service), and work-related factors (work duration, workload, and work temperature) on the occurrence of fatigue was examined using a questionnaire, with a semi-quantitative analytic research design with a cross sectional study approach. Data were analyzed using chi-square for the description of fatigue and relationship between two variables. The results showed 33% of respondents’ experienced moderate fatigue and 67% low fatigue. Inferential tests revealed a fatigue relationship between BMI, work duration, and workload (p 0.000). While the age (p 0.426), years of service (p 0.412) and working temperature (p 1.000) were not related to fatigue. The conclusion is several studied variables are proven related to fatigue in construction workers at PT. X. Recommendations related to fatigue management need to be carried out by management and workers to minimize and control fatigue and increase productivity."

"Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kelelahan dengan melihat faktor risiko bukan terkait pekerjaan dan risiko terkait pekerjaan pada pekerja manufaktur di PT Z. Penelitian dilakukan pada 270 pekerja dengan desian cross-sectional, dilakukan observasi, pengisian kuesioner, pengukuran pencahayaan dengan lux meter, pengukuran kebisingan dengan sound level meter, pengukuran indeks masa tubuh dengan timbangan badan & staturmeter. Faktor risiko tidak terkait pekerjaan (usia, indeks masa tubuh, jarak komuter, pendidikan, jenis kelamin, pendapatan, status kesehatan, kebiasaan merokok, status pernikahan, jumlah anggota keluarga, kebiasaan olahraga, kualitas tidur, sleep hygiene), dan faktor terkait pekerjaan (shift, masa kerja, posisi / jabatan, durasi kerja, kebisingan, pencahayaan, getaran, iklim kerja panas, postur kerja janggal, tuntutan pekerjaan, kontrol terhadap pekerjaan, dukungan rekan dan atasan di tempat kerja, kepuasan kerja, konflik pekerjaan-keluarga, stres). Dua set kuesioner yang divalidasi digunakan untuk menilai kelelahan akut dan kronis. Tiga set kuesioner lainnya yang telah divalidasi digunakan untuk menilai kualitas tidur, psikososial, dan sleep hygiene. Sebuah model regresi logistik dikembangkan untuk setiap hasilnya. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa pekerja yang mengalami kualitas tidur buruk (2.84, 95% CI 1.249 - 6.481) memiliki hubungan signifikan terhadap terhadap munculnya kelelahan akut. Sedangkan kondisi pencahayaan (2.84, 95% CI 1.399 - 5.802) tempat kerja yang tidak standar dan adanya konflik pekerjaan-keluarga (3.86, 95% CI 1.086 - 13.769) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelalahan kronis yang dialami pekerja. Intervensi untuk mengurangi gejala kelelahan akut harus diterapkan pada faktor bukan pekerjaan (kualitas tidur), sedangkan intervensi pada kelelahan kronis harus dilalukan dengan berfokus pada faktor terkait pekerjaan (pencahayaan dan konflik pekerjaan-keluarga)

This study was conducted at PT Z whereas all workers at PT Z as the object of research. The purpose of this study to determine the description of fatigue by focused on risk factors which not related to work and work-related risks to manufacturing workers. The study is conducted on 270 workers using a research design. cross-sectional by making observations, filling out questionnaires, measuring lighting with a lux meter, measuring with a sound level meter, measuring body mass index with a scale & staturmeter. Non-occupational risk (age, body mass index, commuting distance, education, gender, income, health status, smoking habit, marital status, number of family members, exercise habits, sleep quality, sleep hygiene), and work-related factors (shift, length of service, job title, duration of work, lighting, vibration, work climate, work posture, work heat, towards work, peer support and control over the workplace, job satisfaction, work-family conflict, stress). Two sets of validated questionnaires were used for acute and chronic fatigue. Three other sets of validated questionnaires were used to assess sleep quality, psychosocial, and sleep hygiene. A logistic regression model was developed for each outcome. In this study, workers who experienced poor sleep quality (2.84, 95% CI 1.249 - 6.481) had a significant relationship with the emergence of acute fatigue. Meanwhile, non-standard lighting conditions (2.84, 95% CI 1.399 - 5.802) and work-family conflict (3.86, 95% CI 1.086 - 13.769) had a significant effect on chronic fatigue experienced by workers. Interventions to reduce fatigue symptoms should be applied to work factors (sleep quality), while interventions for chronic fatigue should be implemented with a focus on work-related factors (lighting and work-family conflict)."
