Laboratorium Forensik memiliki potensi ancaman bahaya yang berbeda dengan lingkungan kerja yang lain, karena instrument yang digunakan untuk pemeriksaan dan barang bukti harus betul-betul diamankan. Kerusakan atau kehilangan dari salah satu aspek tersebut bukan hanya akan merugikan Laboratorium Forensik saja, tetapi juga akan merugikan kepolisian dan penegakan hukum secara umum.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan aspek-aspek sekuriti yang ada di Laboratorium Forensik, sehingga dari data-data yang diperoleh dapat dikontruksikan sekuriti yang sesuai untuk Laboratorium Forensik.Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu mengamati gejala-gejala sebagaimana di pahami oleh orang-orang yang berada di tempat tersebut, dengan demikian peneliti perlu hidup bersama orang-orang tersebut dalam kurun waktu tertentu.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selain ancaman dari luar berupa orang-orang yang berniat melakukan kejahatan, terdapat juga ancaman dari dalam berupa kecelakaan kerja dan penyakit kerja.Pencegahan kejahatan dengan pendekatan situasional hanya efektif untuk menanggulangi ancaman dari luar, sedangkan unruk menanggulangi ancaman dari dalam, Laboratorium Forensik perlu menerapkan pencegahan kejahatan dengan pendekatan komunitas, yang dalam ligkungan Laboratorium Forensik dapat dilaksanakan dengan membuat standarisasi pedoman kerja dan mendorong komunitas untuk mematuhi dan melaksanakannya.

This thesis discussed the results of the research conducted at Forensic Laboratory, the workplace where the physical evidence from crime scenes that seized by the police investigator is examined, by using analytical instrument, so the police investigator can use it as evidence in the court.

As a workplace, Forensic Laboratory has it own particular security risk related to it asset, activity, and physical evidence on costudy. The loss of any aspects is not afected only the Laboratory but in general also afected the police work and law enforcement.

This study is to elaborate the security aspect in Forensic Laboratory. so from the data obtained, can be constructed the appropriate security strategy for Forensic Laboratory.

The study uses qualitative methods, conducted by observe the phenomena which is perceived by the individual at the site, it means that the researcher have to live within community in a period of time.

The study found that in addition to exterior threat that come from individual who intent to commit crime, there are also interior threat that come from work activity such as work accident and accupational sickness.

Situasional crime prevention only effective for exterior threat, but for interior threat, forensic laboratory has to implement community base crime prevention which is in forensic laboratory scope. can be implemented by establishing Standard operational procedure (SOP) and encourage the community to execute it."
