"Artikel ini merupakan ringkasan dari laporan setahun pasca tragedi Tsunami yang disusun oleh Badan Rehabilitasi dan Rekonstruksi (BRR) Aceh dan salah satu mitra internasional, Bank Dunia kantor perwakilan Jakarta.Pada artikel ini dipaparkan usaha dan kemajuan yang telah dicapai oleh (BRR) dan mitra internasional selama satu tahun sejak kejadian Tsunami, Desember 2004.Adapun langkah-langkah yang ditempuh adalah merupaka strategi rekonstruksi yang berupa bantuan fisik dan kemanusiaan, diantaranya pembangunan kembali perumahan,kebutuhan hidup dan fasilitas umum bagi masyarakat korban bencana. Juga dipaparkan masalah program pendanaan yang di peroleh dari sumbangan donor-donor asing.Sebagai penutup dijabarkan langkah-langkah kedepan (2006) yang ditetapkan BRR dalam bentuk 4 (emapt) priorotas."

"ABSTRAKThe purpose of the present paper is to distinguish and compare several ways of articulating and defending the policy ideal of multiculturalism. It distinguishes three approaches: the culturalist approach, the domination/oppression approach, and the community rebuilding approach. After briefly looking at the former two approaches, the present paper examines the community rebuilding approach in more detail. The community rebuilding approach attracts relatively little at- tention in political theory literature, but it is nonetheless informing important policy debates and practices of multiculturalism today. Finally, the paper com- pares the merits and demerits of the three approaches, and considers the appro- priate way of articulating and applying multiculturalism in particular situations."

"This paper aims to present lessons learned from the Emergency Job Creation (EJC) program conducted by the Japanese government during the process of recovery from the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake disaster, based on statis-tical analysis of the EJC program and an interview survey of several projects in Minamisanriku town. The EJC program is very similar to the Cash for Work (CFW) programs that are often used as a tool for social safety nets (SNNs) in developing countries, although the EJC program was basically a policy tool aimed at reducing unemployment, while CFW is aimed at pursuing recovery efforts and ensuring people?s participation in those efforts, in addition to re-ducing unemployment. In fact, statistical analysis shows that the number of EJC participants is rather higher in municipalities with severe damage than in municipalities with lower labor demand. The results of the interview survey also reflected this, and revealed that the EJC program was also used for human resource development. Drawing on findings from the interviews, we conclude our study by identifying the three important factors that made EJC efficient: 1) the timeliness of commencing the program, 2) the sufficiency of the program funds, and 3) the flexibility with which the funds could be used, which enabled many local organizations to create new forms of cooperation. "

"Keberadaan perusahaan dalam sebuah industri erat kaitannya dengan kemampuan perusahaan untuk bertahan terhadap shock yang terjadi, terutama pada perusahaan yang memiliki kewajiban kredit. Salah satu shock yang tersebut diantaranya krisis yang terjadi pada periode 2008-2009. Dengan menggunakan metode probability pada data rata-rata dari periode sebelum krisis sampai setelah krisis, penelitian ini membuktikan dengan adanya beban kewajiban kredit yang diproxy dengan rasio pembayaran bunga pinjaman mendorong kelompok perusahaan tertentu untuk bertahan.

By using the probability method on average data from the period before the crisis until after the crisis, this study proves the existence of the credit obligations proxied by the ratio of interest rate loans payment encourage certain group companies to survive."
