"Indonesia is a physically a big country. It has 13.000+ islands, 250 million citizens and stretches as far from London to Moscow, from san Francisco to New York. It aspires to be a global player and already a respected regional power, big in Asean and APEC, with considerable influences over its neighbors, including New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Australia. Since its independence in 17 August 1945, Indonesia have developed and changed in so many ways. Its economy have soared, took a major hit and then recovered itself, slowly climbing into the ranks of major economies in the world, even admitted to the elite G20 group. Indonesia is even predicted to be the 6 th biggest in economy in 2030. Its political system have been molded, pushed and pulled to multiple directions. indonesia have tried liberal system and a central-lead and socialist minded system before setting into Pancasila democracy system, neither liberal nor special, but a combination of both."

"Tourism in Indonesia is frequently associated with Bali. Although Bali is an important tourist destination within the Indonesian tourist system, a regional analysis shows that Java and specially Jakarta has a greater share in the tourist industry. Java and Bali combined offer 76 percent of the hotel supply and attract 79 percent of the International hotel demand. If tourism should be used to alleviate some of the biggest contemporary problems of Indonesia, namely hyperurbanisation and population pressure on Java and Bali, then more emphasis needs to be placed on regional distributive effects of tourism. Several approaches appear feasible: (1) improvement of the accomodation suppply and access to the outer islands; and (2) identification and targetting of those market segments with a more regionally dispersed travel pattern using a market segmentation analysis of the intra-national travel pattern of the international tourists."

"Bisnis pariwisata merupakan sektor mega industri yang memiliki kompleksitas sistem yang tersusun seperti jaring laba-laba. Salah satu contohnya, pariwisata tidak dapat dipisahkan dari aspek promosi. Hal ini pula yang mendorong negara-negara berkembang mulai menajamkan fokus dalam mempromosikan keunggulan pariwisata melalui slogan-slogan tertentu dan pameran pariwisata mancanegara. Promosi ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan arus masuk turis asing. Indonesia yang dianugerahi kekayaan alam dan budaya kini juga sudah aktif melakukan promosi pariwisata di tingkat internasional melalui pameran dan kerjasama pemerintah denga mitra domestik dan asing. Namun hal yang terpenting yang perlu diingat adalah promosi pariwisata juga tidak berdiri sendiri. Sistem pariwisata akan melibatkan elemen promosi yang bekerja bukan sekedar sebagai tahap untuk menawarkan sebanyak banyaknya berapa destinasi wisata tetapi juga dapat menganalisa faktor-faktor yaitu trend global dan perilaku konsumen yang nantinnya akan menentukan pilihan perjalanan dan permintaan destinasi. Promosi pariwisata akan semakin maksimal saat terdapat sinergis peran antara perwakilan RI di luar negeri. Promosi pariwisata yang komprehensif akan berdampak positif bagi peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat serta penguatan dan pelestarian komunitas dan budaya lokal."

"Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dan web pada industri pariwisata kian mempengaruhi cara orang dalam mengakses informasi. Salah satu bentuk perkembangannya diwakili dengan ulasan online oleh pengguna hotel pada travel website yang keberadaannya tengah menjamur dewasa ini. Opini pengguna dapat dimanfaatkan oleh pengelola hotel dalam meningkatkan kualitas industri perhotelan, bersamaan dengan rencana pemerintah untuk mendatangkan lebih banyak wisatawan ke Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan opinion mining guna mengetahui aspek yang berkaitan dengan layanan dan fasilitas beserta sentimennya untuk menggambarkan pendapat pengguna terhadap kualitas hotel. Sebuah program yang bekerja atas prinsip Recursive Neural Tensor Network (RNTN) digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Ulasan pengguna hotel di Labuan Bajo, Lombok, dan Bali digunakan untuk mewakili daerah wisata yang mirip dan berdekatan, serta tingkat perkembangan pariwisata yang berbeda-beda. Luaran analisis sentimen menunjukkan bahwa aspek yang berkaitan dengan aktivitas dan hiburan, fasilitas ruangan, dan jasa transportasi di ketiga daerah masih didominasi dengan sentimen negatif. Hasil penelitian dapat digunakan untuk evaluasi dalam meningkatkan kualitas industri perhotelan sebagai penunjang pariwisata di Indonesia.

The rapid development of communication technology and website on the tourism domain increasingly influence the way people access information. One of the development impact is represented by hotel users? review on travel websites whose existence is flourishing today. Users? opinion can be used by hotel managers for improving the quality of the hospitality industry, in line with the government plans to bring more tourists to Indonesia. Opinion mining approach is used in this research to determine the aspects related to service and facility of the hotel, along with the sentiment to describe users opinion towards the quality of the hotel. A program that works on the principle of Recursive Neural Tensor Network (RNTN) used in this study. Hotel users? review in Labuan Bajo, Lombok, and Bali used to represent the tourist areas that are similar and close to each other, with different levels of tourism development. The output of this research shows that the hotel aspects related to activities and entertainment, room amenities, and transportation services in the three regions are still dominated by negative sentiment. Therefore, the results of this research can be used for evaluation to improve the quality of the hospitality industry as an important support in Indonesia tourism.

"Skripsi ini membahas peranan tuan rumah (host) dalam mengembangkan kegiatan pariwisata berdasarkan nilai-nilai lokal. Tulisan ini berfokus pada penerapan nilai-nilai lokal dalam kegiatan pembangunan desa wisata adat yang dilakukan oleh komunitas adat masyarakat kampung Kuta (host). Permasalahan yang terjadi pada agenda pembangunan desa wisata adat kampung Kuta adalah adanya dua pemimpin, yaitu pemimpin tradisional dan pemimpinan formal. Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat kampung Kuta pun terbuka dengan perkembangan zaman akan tetapi mereka tetap mempertahankan nilai-nilai lokal yang dimiliki. Kemudian, bagaimana para pemimpin dapat melaksanakan kegiatan pengembangan desa wisata adat di kampung Kuta dengan tidak menghilangkan nilai-nilai lokal yang dimiliki masyarakat kampung Kuta. Hal ini mengingat bahwa tidak sedikit telah terjadi hilangnya nilai-nilai lokal suatu komunitas masyarakat ketika kehidupan mereka kerap mendapatkan pengaruh dari luar komunitasnya sekaligus lingkungan tempat tinggal mereka dijadikan sebagai destinasi wisata. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode observasi partisipasi, in-depth interview, dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa nilai-nilai lokal masyarakat kampung Kuta mengalami perkembangan yang digunakan untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan dan perkembangan zaman. Terkait pariwisata, nilai-nilai lokal yang diterapkan menjadi sebuah produk pariwisata yang mendukung berbagai kegiatan wisata di kampung Kuta berdasarkan tujuan dan objek wisata yang ditawarkan kepada para wisatawan.
.....This thesis discusses the role of the host in developing tourism activities based on local values. This paper focuses on the application of local values ​​in the traditional tourism village development activities carried out by the customary community of Kuta village (the host). The problem that occurs in the development agenda of the traditional tourism village of Kuta village is that there are two leaders, namely traditional leaders and formal leaders. In everyday life, the people of Kuta village are also open to the times, but they still maintain their local values. Then, how did the leaders reach an agreement to develop a traditional tourism village in Kuta village by not eliminating the local values ​​owned by the people of Kuta village. This is considering that there has been a loss of local values ​​of a community when their lives often get influences from outside their community as well as the environment in which they live as a tourist destination. This research is a qualitative research using participatory observation method, in-depth interview, and literature study. The results of this study are that the local values ​​of the Kuta village community have developed which are used to adapt to the environment and the times. Regarding tourism, local values ​​that are applied become a tourism product that supports various tourist activities in the Kuta village based on the purpose and object of the tour offered to the tourists.

"The sectors within creative industry and beyond the tourism sector wouldn't develop in separately and acted as competitor, but rather than to support inter sector. Tourism sector would take benefit through other sectors in combining activities together in retain more optimal economic benefit. On this case, it needs deeply analysis on different perceptions among shareholders, and also for both tourism creative industry's policy maker. However, the mapping beyond both kinds of industries has a tremendous aspect to identify its similarity. As the consequence, it is neglectful to need more combination beyond those assets. Tourism sector and creative industry would consistent to support inter sector and other related sectors, in which to offer more diversify tourism & creative industry packages. By using tourism competitiveness indicators, the dynamism within creative industry's mapping would also stimulate the tourism's growth which represents positive impact to creative industry on specific tourism destination. "

"Cultural tourism issues is a problem related with the value, in other words there is sufficient value to the development of cultural tourism. Tourism and culture are different entities so that the inherent value of both is also different. In this paper will describe the value of what "should" is owned by tourism, and the value of what "should" is owned by culture, and also see the value of what "should be" held by cultural tourism. The principal value of tourism is the economic value, while other values are secondary value. Existing values in the culture can be increased or decreased increased if directed to enhance human dignity and decrease if oriented toward the values outside the culture itself Cultural tourism has value if it can increase the economic value and culture value.
