"ABSTRAKBanyaknya bioskop jaringan berkonsep sinepleks tidak menghalangi lahirnya bioskop alternatif. Bioskop alternatif ini memfasilitasi adanya diskusi mengenai film antar penggemar film atau dengan pembuat film. Penggemar film memiliki preferensi tersendiri dalam memilih bioskop untuk menonton film, dengan melakukan wawancara kualitatif pada penggemar film yang menonton film di bioskop alternatif diharapkan dapat diketahui motivasi yang melatarbelakangi pemilihan bioskop untuk menonton film. Hasil analisis dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat beberapa motivasi terkait dengan pemilihan bioskop di Jakarta. Terdapat perbedaan pola pemilihan antara bioskop jaringan dan bioskop alternatif. Faktor jarak berpengaruh terhadap pemilihan bioskop jaringan. Selain itu dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa umumnya karakteristik penggemar film di bioskop alternatif adalah cenderung berumur muda, menyukai seni dan hiburan, serta memiliki motivasi intelektual, status dan sosial.

ABSTRACTHigh number of Cineplex doesn?t preclude the emergence of alternative cinema. Alternative cinema provides movie discussion among movie buffs or along with the movie makers. Movie buffs themselves have different preferences in choosing place to watch movie. Through qualitative interview with movie buffs who watch movie in alternative cinema, it is aimed to discover the motivation behind cinema choice for watching movie. The result of analysis showed that there are several motivations which influence cinema choices in Jakarta. There is different pattern of cinema choices between network cinema and alternative cinema. Distance factor influences the network cinema choices. Beside that, from this research, it is discovered that movie buff characteristics for alternative cinema generally young age, like art and entertainment, and also have intellectual, status, and social motivation."

"Industri film Korea Selatan telah berkembang pesat sejak 1990-an setelah melewati sejarah panjang dalam ketidakstabilan politik dan ekonomi, serta korupsi pemerintah. Chaebol yang dikenal sebagai kelompok konglomerat besar di Korea diharapkan dapat berperan dalam mengembangkan perekonomian bangsa sebagai prioritas tertinggi. Penelitian ini mengangkat peran Chaebol pada sisi lain, yakni dunia perfilman di Korea tahun 1990-an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif-analisis dengan menggunakan studi pustaka, dari buku, jurnal, situs-situs internet, dan lainnya. Penelitian ini memaparkan bahwa keterlibatan chaebol sebagai pemain lama dalam bisnis berhasil menjadi agent yang memainkan peran besar dalam membangkitkan industri film Korea Selatan. Chaebol memperkenalkan inovasi baru dengan menggunakan metode bisnis modern terintegrasi secara vertikal yang digunakan oleh Hollywood. Melalui integrasi vertikal, chaebol sebagai investor utama terlibat dalam seluruh proses film termasuk pembiayaan, pra-produksi, produksi, pascaproduksi, distribusi, penayangan, hingga pemasaran. Implikasi sistem integrasi vertikal dalam mewujudkan pertumbuhan industri film Korea dilakukan dengan dukungan modal dari chaebol yang berpartisipasi dalam industri film.

South Korea's film industry has proliferated since the 1990s after a long history of political and economic instability and government corruption. Chaebol, which is known as a family-owned large conglomerate in Korea, is expected to play a role in developing the nation's economy as the highest priority. This study explores the role of chaebol on the other side, namely in the film industry in Korea in the 1990s. This study uses a descriptive-analytical research method using literature studies, from books, journals, internet sites, and others. This study explains that the involvement of chaebol as incumbents in the business has succeeded in becoming agents who play a big role in revitalizing the South Korean film industry. Chaebol introduces innovations using the modern vertically integrated business methods used by Hollywood. Through vertical integration, chaebol, the main investors, are involved in the entire film process, including financing, pre-production, production, post-production, distribution, screening, and marketing. The implication of the vertical integration system in realizing the growth of the Korean film industry is carried out with capital support from chaebol who participate in the film industry."

"The aim of this research is to describe the translation technique used by the translator in translating the subtitle in Indonesia of lesson for an assassin film. The result showed that the translator used eight translation techniques that are paraphrase, transfer, imitation, condensation, deletion, taming and resignation. If sorted by the frequency of use, transfer technique is the most widely used that is 255 data (46.9%), paraphrase 176 data (32.4%), imitation 65 data (11.9%), expansion 40 data (7.4%), resignation 28 data (5.2%), deletion 15 data (2.8%), condensation 13 data (2.4%), dan taming 2 data (0.36%)."

"ABSTRAKJurnal ini membahas relasi seorang anak tokoh utama dan ayah dalam film Oorlogswinter 2008 . Film diangkat dari buku dengan judul sama, berkisah tentang seorang anak Belanda yang hidup di masa Perang Dunia II dan harus berhadapan dengan ayah yang berbeda prinsip dengannya. Konflik yang dihadapi sang anak bukan hanya dengan ayah, tetapi juga tentara Jerman dan pamannya. Berbagai konflik itu masing-masing ditunjukkan dengan pemanfaatan teknik sinematografi yang berbeda. Pembahasan relasi ayah dan anak dan konflik-konflik yang ada dalam film ini dilakukan dengan analisis struktur, fokalisasi dan sinematografi.

ABSTRACTThis journal analyzes the relationship between son main character and father in the movie Oorlogswinter 2008 . The film is adapted from a book with the same title which tells a story of a dutch boy who lives in the time of World War II and has to deal with his father who has different principles from him. The child also has conflicts with the German army and his own uncle. Each of the conflicts is shown through specific cinematography techniques. Analysis of the relation of father and son and other conflicts in the movie are conducted with structure, focalization and cinematography analysis."

"Penikmat film mengenal tokoh Mulan dari film produksi Disney berjudul Mulan yang dirilis pada tahun 1998. Mulan adalah tokoh yang diceritakan menyamar menjadi laki-laki untuk menggantikan ayahnya di medan perang. Mulan memiliki banyak versi, dalam jurnal ini akan memfokuskan pada Film Mulan : Rise of a Warrior (2009) yang disutradrai oleh Jingle Ma. Film ini menceritakan konflik antara bangsa Rouran yang ingin merebut wilayah kekuasaan Wei dan bangsa Wei itu sendiri yang ingin mempertahankan wilayahnya. Menampilkan dua tokoh utama wanita dari etnis yang sedang berperang, yaitu Hua Mulan dari bangsa Wei sebagai jenderal pasukan Wei yang memimpin ratusan ribu pasukan laki-laki dalam perang serta menjadi penengah bagi kedua bangsa. Serta Putri Rouran dari bangsa Rouran yang diakhir cerita menjadi sosok yang membawa perdamaian bagi kedua bangsa.

The public is familiar with Mulan as the main character from Disneys animation film of the same name released in 1998. She disguised herself as a man to replace her father as a general in a war. There are several film adaptations of her stories and this paper focuses on Jingle Mas Mulan: Rise of a Warrior (2009) with emphasis on the role of its two conflicting ethnic female leaders. Hua Mulan leads the Weis in defending their lands against the invasion of the Rourans led by their Princess. Mulan guides her army of men into the battlefield and becomes the agent of peace with Princess of Rouran herself eventually becomes the one who restores peace for both tribes."
