Dalam berbagi ruang, harus diperhatikan aktor yang berperan serta kesehariannya agar penghuni rumah dapat mengatur ruang berbagi di dalam rumah. Terdapat lima mekanisme pembentukan ruang berbagi antar manusia dan hewan. Mekanisme tersebut adalah zoning, interaksi antar aktor, jarak, boundary, dan teritori. Temuan skripsi ini menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antar aktor adalah mekanisme paling penting dalam menentukan ruang berbagi antara manusia dan hewan peliharaan.

Home is a place for sharing space between its occupants. If there is a pet inside the home, the humans who live there should be able to share their space with it. In sharing space, one should pay attention to the actors and their everyday life so people who live there can arrange the shared space in their home.

There were five sharing space mechanisms between pets and humans. They are zoning, actor interaction, distance, boundary, and territory. The finding of this study shows that actor interaction is the most important mechanism in sharing space between pets and humans."
