"ABSTRAK
Background of the study, materials and methods: Pregnancy-induced hypertension is still an important cause of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. Blood pressure changes during pregnancy especially in the second- and third trimester is very important to be monitored properly during prenatal care through routine blood pressure measurement as an early detection for prevention of pregnancy-induced hypertension. Though its etiology is still unknown, based on various epidemiological studies some nutritional- and non- nutritional factors were believed to be its predisposing factors, which also should be considered during prenatal care. A study had been carried out on 45 pregnant women in all 14 RW of Kelurahan Utan Kayu Selatan, Jakarta, Indonesia. They were followed fortnightly for a 6 weeks observational period to see the relationships between magnesium concentration in serum and in erythrocyte, and blood pressures changes in their second- and/or third trimester, and to see also factors that might influence this blood pressure changes. Anthropometrics, clinical, biochemical, and dietary assessments were done to gather data needed for this observational study. The data was analyzed using statistical tests at alpha equal to 0.05 as the significance level.
Results and conclusion: Hypertension based on the operational definition of this study was found in 4.4% of the subjects. Blood pressure changes in pregnancy in this study only significantly related to primigravida. The intakes of calorie, protein, saturated fatty acid, sodium and magnesium were found to be significantly different (p < 0.001) compared to its RDA, yet no significant was found with blood pressure changes/hypertension. Magnesium concentration in serum was mostly within the normal range (1.9 - 2.5 mg/dl) in 73.33% of the subjects, while magnesium concentration in erythrocyte was mostly lower than the normal range (5.7 - 7.5 mg/dl) in 73.33 % of the subjects. The concentration of magnesium in erythrocyte was significantly lower (p < 0.001) than the normal level after the 20th week of gestation. The data did not show any significant correlation on the relationship between the concentration of magnesium both in serum and in erythrocyte with blood pressure changes / hypertension."

ABSTRACT

The blood pressure measurement non-invasive methods that are presently implemented using a cuff cause discomfort, particularly for injured people, overweight people, and infants. Several non-invasive cuff-less methods have been developed, one of which is the pulse wave analysis (PWA) method. Photoplethysography (PPG) is the only input and basis for the calculation of blood pressure measurements in the PWA method. The main challenge in using the PPG method is that its accuracy is greatly influenced by motion artifacts. In addition, the characteristics of PPG vary depending on physiological conditions; hence, the system must be calibrated to adjust for such changes. We attempt to address these limitations and propose a novel method for the classification of BP using a bidirectional long short-term memory (BLSTM) network with time-frequency analysis (TFA) based on PPG signals. We used 121 subjects from the figshare database for model testing and classify into three classification levels: normotension (NT), prehypertension (PHT), and hypertension (HT) according to the Join National Committee. BLSTM network training uses the TFA feature, significantly increasing efficiency by reducing training time while increasing classification accuracy. The proposed method is successful in the classification of BP with accuracy values of NT, PHT, and HT; 92.43%, 94.83%, and 94.01% respectively.

This thesis examines the effect of brand innovativeness and brand leadership with respect to the success of luxury brands in Indonesia; as well as how brand luxury, brand user-imagery fit and brand value have an effect on the willingness to pay a premium on the luxury-fashion brands. After conducting a comprehensive literature study and crafting hypothesis, some useful data were obtained from the questioners distributed to 157 respondents who had purchased or are using a number of branded or designer bags (including Hermes, Chanel, and Louis Vouitton) in Jakarta, with a snowball sampling and convenience sampling approaches. This followed by an analysis of the data with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The research has provided us with an interesting observation whereby brand innovativeness does not have a direct influence on the brand luxury, and on the other hand brand leadership offers positive influence on the brand luxury. Furthermore, brand luxury, brand value, and brand user-imagery fit, all have positive influence on the willingness to pay a premium. And brand value is perceived as the one that has the biggest influence on the willingness to pay a premium. Therefore, to create a brand luxury, one must start by putting a lot of efforts in developing a brand leadership, whether one particular brand has already become a leading brand; an adaptive brand with the ever-changing era; or having a forward long-term vision. By being a brand luxury does not necessary mean that consumers will be willing to pay for a premium. There must be a strong brand value on the basis that they are part of those users of the luxury fashion brand. In shaping the luxury brand and the willingness to pay a premium, companies should consider to “the Brand Luxury Model” in this research.

"ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND: hypertension remains a global burden. Complications of unrecognized hypertension might increase mortality as shown by a WHO 2013 report that hypertension caused 9.4 million deaths worldwide. There is no prior data in Indonesia on blood pressure status in young adults with similar education levels. Medical students are at high risk of developing early hypertension due to modern lifestyle habits. This study aimed to determine the blood pressure profile of medical students as representative of the young adult population. METHODS: we measured the prevalence of hypertension in medical students. All medical students who agreed to participate completed a questionnaire. Afterwards, we conducted a physical examination and obtained blood and urine samples to screen for blood pressure, estimated glomerular filtration rate, and the lipid profile. RESULTS: the prevalence of students with prehypertension or hypertension was 29.6%. The mean eGFR was 105.45 ml/min/m2. The mean total cholesterol was within normal limits. CONCLUSION: the prevalence of hypertension in medical students was high. This study shows that early detection of hypertension is key to treating it early and therefore to reducing morbidity and mortality."
