"Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) merupakan Lembaga Pemerintah Non Kementerian (LPNK) yang bertanggung jawab kepada Presiden dan melaksanakan tugas pemerintahan di bidang pengawasan Obat dan Makanan sesuai dengan ketentuan peraturan Perundang-Undangan yang berlaku. Kegiatan praktik kerja di Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan bertujuan agar calon apoteker : mampu memahami peranan, tugas, dan tanggung jawab apoteker di Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan; memiliki pengetahuan tentang tugas pokok dan fungsi Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan di bidang farmasi; memiliki wawasan, pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan pengalaman praktis melakukan pekerjaan di Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan; memiliki gambaran nyata tentang permasalahan kefarmasian di Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan. Mengingat bahwa penyalahgunaan narkotika, psikotropika, dan zat adiktif merupakan tantangan terutama bagi generasi muda di Indonesia, salah satu direktorat di Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) yaitu Direktorat Pengawasan NAPZA (Narkotik, Psikotropik, dan Zat Adiktif) bertugas melaksanakan kegiatan pengawasan terhadap Narkotika, Psikotropika, Prekursor, dan Rokok secara komprehensif dari hulu ke hilir. Selain itu, Direktorat Pengawasan NAPZA juga melakukan pengawasan terkait rokok, termasuk produk rokok dan iklan rokok.
National Agency of Drug and Food Control is a Non-Government Organization that is responsible to the President and carry out government duties in the field of Food and Drug supervision in accordance with the provisions of the applicable Legislation. Activity in the working practices of Food and Drug Supervisory Agency aims to prospective pharmacists: able to understand the role, duties and responsibilities of pharmacists in the Food and Drug Administration; have knowledge of basic tasks and functions of the Food and Drug Administration in the field of pharmacy; has the insight, knowledge, skills, and practical experience doing the job at the Food and Drug Administration; have knowledge about the problems of pharmacy at the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency. Given that the abuse of narcotics, psychotropic and addictive substances is a challenge, especially for the younger generation in Indonesia, one of the directorates in the National Agency of Drug and Food Control, namely the Directorate of Drugs (Narcotics, Psychotropic and Addictive Substances) in charge of conducting surveillance of Narcotics, Psychotropic Substances, Precursors, and Cigarettes comprehensively from upstream to downstream. In addition, the Directorate of Drug Control also monitors related to cigarettes, including cigarettes and cigarette advertising products."

"ABSTRAK
Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) merupakan salah satu Lembaga Pemerintah
Non Kementerian (LPNK) mempunyai tugas melaksanakan pengawasan obat dan makanan sesuai
dengan ketentuan peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku. Apoteker memiliki peran yang
penting dan terlibat langsung di dalam melakukan fungsi pengawasan tersebut. Tujuan praktik
kerja profesi (PKP) ini adalah memberi wawasan, pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan pengalaman
pada calon apoteker tentang pekerjaan apoteker di Badan POM. Mahasiswa apoteker ditempatkan
di Pusat Riset Obat dan Makanan untuk melakukan verifikasi metode analisis setirizin HCl
menggunakan spektrofotometer uv-vis secara mandiri. Hasilnya, metode analisis setirizin valid.
PROM melakukan inovasi penelitian dan juga memnuhi permintaan stakeholder PROM, yaitu
direktorat lain yang ada di Badan POM. Peran apoteker di Badan POM adalah melakukan
pengawasan dan inspeksi, standardisasi, manajerial, hukum, hubungan masyarakat (pemberian
informasi), penilaian, riset, pengujian, dan penyidikan. Mahasiswa mendapatkan pengalaman
dalam melakukan verifikasi metode analisis secara mandiri. ABSTRACT The National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) is a Non-Government
Organization (LPNK) has the task to control drug and food in order to appropiate with the
regulation. Pharmacist have an important role to do this control. The goals of internship are to get
knowledge, skills, and experience about the duties of pharmacist in BPOM. Pharmacist student is
placed in the Centre of Drug and Food Research The National. Agency of Drug and Food Control
to verify the analytical methods cetirizine HCl using uv-vis spectrophotometer independently. As a
result method of analysis cetirizine is valid. PROM make innovation research and also fulfill the
demand of stakeholders PROM (the other directorates in BPOM). The role of the pharmacist in
BPOM is doing supervision and inspection, standardization, managerial, legal, public relations
(giving information), assessment, research, testing, and investigation. Students gain experience in
conducting independent verification of analysis methods. "

Praktek Kerja Profesi di Badan POM yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret tahun 2016 bertujuan agar dapat mengetahui tugas, fungsi, serta ruang lingkup kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh Badan POM.
Republic of Indonesia National Agency of Drug and Food Control is Government Institution Non Ministry that is responsible directly to the President and coordinating with Ministry of Health in controlling food and drug. Therefore, it needs human resources meeting with the requirements of the function. Pharmacist is a profession in health section having a role in drugs section, which function is as a controller of health product that circulating in Indonesia, such as medicine, traditional medicine, and cosmetics in the National Agency of Drug and Food Control. Untuk itu dibentuk Badan POM yang memiliki jaringan serta kewenangan penegakan hukum dan memiliki kredibilitas profesional yang tinggi. Praktek Kerja Profesi yang dilaksanakan di Badan POM bertujuan untuk memahami tugas, fungsi, serta ruang lingkup kegiatan dari institusi pemerintah di bidang pengawasan obat dan makanan, khususnya di Direktorat Pengawasan Distribusi Produk Terapetik dan Perbekalan Kesehatan Rumah Tangga. Indonesia should have an effective and efficient drug and food control system with capability to detect, prevent and control such products in order to protect the consumers security and health. Therefore, National Agency of Drug and Food Control is established with a networking, authority to conduct law enforcement and highly credible professionalism. The internship at NA-DFC was aimed to understand the duties, functions, and roles of NA-DFC, specifically at Direktorat Pengawasan Distribusi Produk Terapetik dan Perbekalan Kesehatan Rumah Tangga. Therefore, the pharmacist would have extensive knowlege, insight, and good practical experience of NA-DFC."

"Praktek kerja profesi di Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan Republik Indonesia Bulan Maret Tahun 2018 bertujuan untuk mampu memahami peranan, tugas, dan tanggung jawab apoteker di BPOM RI; memiliki pengetahuan tentang tugas pokok dan fungsi terkait BPOM RI; memiliki wawasan, pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan pengalaman praktis melakukan pekerjaan di BPOM RI; dan memiliki gambaran nyata tentang permasalahan terkait obat dan makanan di BPOM RI. Praktek kerja profesi ini dilaksanakan selama empat minggu dengan tugas khusus yaitu ldquo;Pengkajian Code Of Hygienic Practice For Low And Acidified Low Acid Canned Foods CAC/RCP 23-1979 dan Code Of Hygienic Practice For Aseptically Processed And Packaged Low-Acid Foods CAC/RCP 40-1993 rdquo;. Tujuan dari tugas khusus ini adalah untuk mengkaji dan membandingkan kedua peraturan tersebut sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam membuat Peraturan Kepala BPOM RI. Secara umum, BPOM RI telah menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawab sebagai pengawas obat dan makanan sesuai dengan peraturan perundangan yang berlaku.

This internship was conducted for four weeks with special assignment ldquo;Assessment of Code Of Hygienic Practice For Low And Acidified Low Acid Canned Foods CAC/RCP 23-1979 dan Code Of Hygienic Practice For Aseptically Processed And Packaged Low-Acid Foods CAC/RCP 40-1993 . The purpose of this special assignment is to review and compare both regulations as consideration in making the regulation of Head of The National Agency of Drug and Food Control. In general, The National Agency of Drug and Food Control has carried out duties and responsibilities in controlling drug and food in accordance with applicable laws."
