"Kata علم /'alima/ dan عرف /'arafa/ secara leksikal memiliki kesamaan makna yakni 'mengetahui', tetapi, keduanya juga memiliki perbedaan makna. Dalam penelitian ini akan dilakukan kajian kontrastif dua kata tersebut dalam Al-Qur'an Al-Karim dari sudut pandang analisis semantik-leksikal. Kajian Kontrastif tersebut mencakup persamaan dan perbedaan makna علم /'alima/ dan عرف /'arafa/ dalam Al-Qur'an Al-Karim. Tujuan penulis adalah menjelaskan persamaan serta perbedaan makna علم /'alima/ dan عرف /'arafa/ dalam Al-Qur'an Al-Karim. Metode yang digunakan dalam penyusunan skripsi ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan studi pustaka.
Analisis dilakukan dengan mencari persamaan serta perbedaan makna علم /'alima/ dan عرف /'arafa/ dalam Al-Qur'an Al-Karim yakni dengan mengkontraskan antarderivasi dua kata tersebut yang memiliki kesamaan pola. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kata علم /'alima/ dan عرف /'arafa/ dalam Al-Qur'an Al-Karim dengan pola sama secara kontrastif memiliki perbedaan dan persamaan makna masing-masing, baik secara tekstual maupun kontekstual.

Lexically, علم /'alima/ and عرف /'arafa/ words have the same meaning of 'know', but, they also have different meanings. In this study will discusses about the contrastive of علم /'alima/ and عرف /'arafa/ in Al-Qur'an Al-Karim with semantic-lexical review. The contrasting include similarities and differences in the meaning of علم /'alima/ and عرف /'arafa/ in Al-Quran Al-Karim. The author's purpose is to explain similarities and differences in the meaning علم /'alima/ and عرف /'arafa/ in Al-Quran Al-Karim. The method used in this paper is a qualitative method with literature study.
The analysis is done by looking for similarities and differences meaning علم /'alima/ and عرف /'arafa/ in Al-Quran Al-Karim between derivative word which contrasts with the two words that have the same pattern. From this study, it can be concluded that contrastively, علم /'alima/ and عرف /'arafa/ in Al-Qur'an Al-Karim with same pattern have similarities and differences in their meaning, both textual and contextual.

"Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui lebih mendalam hubungan antara bahasa Arab dan al-Qur'an. Dengan metode kajian pustaka, penulis menggunakan buku Fi Al-Syi'r al-Jahili karya Thaha Husein sebagai bahan utama kajian. Dalam bukunya Thaha Husein meragukan validitas eksistensi Sastra Jahiliyah dan meragukan cerita-cerita yang terdapat dalam al-Qur'an. Padahal di satu sisi validitas sastra Jahiliyah digunakan sebagai data dalam kodifikasi bahasa Arab dan acuan dalam mentafsir ayat-ayat al-Qur'an yang multi-interpretasi. Pendapat tersebut menimbulkan perdebatan diantara para sastrawan, menuai kritik keras dari para ulama dan menyita perhatian para pemikir.
Kesimpulan dari polemik tersebut adalah para pengamat sastra dan para perawi sastra sepakat bahwa keraguan pada sebagian sastra Jahiliyah tidak berarti menegasikan keseluruhan validitas sastra Jahiliyah. Hal tersebut juga sekaligus mematahkan pendapat secara ilmiah yang meragukan orisinilitas Al-Qur'an.

The purpose of this research is to observe deeper the relationship between Arabic and Al-Qur'an. By using library study method, researcher chooses Thaha Husein's book entitled Fi Al-Syi'r al-Jahili as the main corpus of the research. In the book, Husein doubts the existential validity of Jahiliyah literature and the existing stories in Al-Qur'an. In fact, in one side, the validity of Jahiliyah literature is used as data in Arabic codification and as references in interpreting Qur'anic verses, which are actually multi-interpretation. Husein's opinion causes debate to appear between many literalists, sharp criticisms are flowing from many ulamas, and these absorb the attention of many philosophers.
The conclusion of the polemic is; literary critics and literalists come to an agreement that the doubtfulness to some Jahiliyah literatures does not negate the entire validity of Jahiliyah literature. This agreement also, scientifically, breaks the opinion that questions the originality of Al-Qur'an.

Penelitian ?Puisi Polemik Al-Farazdaq dan Jarir pada Masa Dinasti Umayyah (661 M-749 M)?
mengkaji tentang perseteruan yang terjadi antara penyair terkenal pada masa Dinasti Umayyah
yaitu al-Farazdaq dan Jarir. Secara lebih rinci penelitian ini akan membahas tentang
perkembangan tema puisi Arab pada masa Dinasti Umayyah, biografi al-Farazdaq, biografi Jarir,
puisi polemik karya al-Farazdaq kepada Jarir, puisi polemik karya Jarir kepada al-Farazdaq.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel jurnal ini adalah metode studi pustaka dengan
teori pendekatan sejarah sastra Arab. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan
informasi dan pengkajian tentang puisi polemik antara al-Farazdaq dan Jarir. Temuan dari
penulisan artikel jurnal ini bahwasanya al-Farazdaq dan Jarir saling berpolemik melalui puisi
bertemakan hija‟ (ejekan) dan naqa‟idh (polemik). Al-Farazdaq menyerang Jarir melalui puisi
polemiknya, dengan membanggakan kaumnya (Bani Tamim) dan mengejek Jarir (kaum Bani
Kulaib). Jarir membalas puisi naqa‟idh (polemik) al- Farazdaq dengan cara membalikkan fakta.
Tema puisi naqa‟idh (polemik) berkembang pesat pada masa Dinasti Umayyah.ABSTRACT

c)? talks about the conflicts between two famous poets, al-Farazdaq and Jarir, in the period of
Umayyah dynasty. This article explains the development of Arabic poetry themes in the period
of Umayyah dynasty, al-Farazdaq biography, Jarir biography, polemic poem by al-Farazdaq to
Jarir, and polemic poem by Jarir to al-Farazdaq. This article uses literature review and historical
approach of Arabic literature as its method. The purpose of this article is to give information and
explanation about polemic poem between al-Farazdaq and Jarir. This article discovers that alFarazdaq and Jarir give their polemic to each other by poem themed hija‟ (mockery) and naqa‟idh (polemic). Al-Farazdaq hits Jarir by his polemic poem which talks about his pride on
Tamim tribe and mocks Jarir from Kulaib tribe. Meanwhile, Jarir answers al-Farazdaq by
reverses the fact. The theme of naqa‟idh (polemic) develop rapidly in the period of Umayyah
