"Penelitian ini membahas gerakan dakwah di Kota Bandung melalui Masjid Istiqamah di dekat Pasar Cihapit, Bandung. Masjid yang berdiri tahun 1926 dipengaruhi oleh pemikiran tokoh-tokoh eks Partai Masyumi, diantaranya adalah Isa Anshary, Rusyad Nurdin, E.Z. Muttaqien, serta M. Natsir. Gagasan untuk membentuk kader dakwah dilaksanakan di sebuah masjid kecil sebagai upaya menghadapi pengaruh sekularisme dari budaya barat yang berkembang pada awal masa pemerintahan Orde Baru. Pengaruh dari gerakan dakwah tersebut adalah lahirnya organisasi-organisasi remaja masjid di sekitar Bandung. Kegiatan remaja di lingkungan masjid mendapat sambutan baik di kalangan remaja dan pemuda karena kegiatannya melalui pendekatan populer seperti seni dan olahraga. Gerakan dakwahnya masih berpengaruh pada perkembangan dakwah hingga kini, seperti gerakan organisasi remaja masjid, jilbab dan pesantren kilat anak-anak. Pelatihan kader dakwah Kulliyatul Mujahidin Istiqamah menekankan pada komitmen menegakkan ajaran Islam dan mampu menahan pengaruh kelompok Imam Imran yang lebih menekankan pada konsep kultus kepemimpinan Imam, kelompok Imam Imran melakukan aksi teror pembajakan Pesawat Garuda Woyla di tahun 1981. Pengumpulan bahan kajian ini diperoleh melalui sumber arsip milik Yayasan Istiqamah, wawancara para pelaku untuk melengkapi bukti sejarah dan diverifikasi melalui sumber-sumber koran dan majalah sezaman serta kemudian diverifikasi menjadi fakta yang dituliskan.

This study discusses the da'wah movement in Bandung through the Istiqamah Mosque near Cihapit Market, Bandung. The mosque, which was founded in 1926, was influenced by the thoughts of former Masjumi Party figures, including Isa Anshary, Rusyad Nurdin, E.Z. Muttaqien, and M. Natsir. The idea of forming a da'wah cadre was carried out in a small mosque as an effort to face the secularist influence of western culture that developed at the beginning of the New Order government. The influence of the da'wah movement was the birth of youth mosque organizations in Bandung area. Youth activities in the mosque environment are well accepted by teenagers and youth because their activities are carried out through popular approaches such as arts and sports. The da’wah movement still influences the development of da’wah until now, such as the movement of youth organizations for mosques, headscarves and children's boarding schools. The training for the Kulliyatul Mujahidin Istiqamah da'wah cadres emphasizes a commitment to upholding Islamic teachings and is able to withstand the influence of the Imam Imran group which emphasizes the concept of the Imam's cult leadership, the Imam Imran group commited acts of terror by hijacking of the Garuda Woyla Aircraft in 1981. The collection of this study material was obtained through archival sources, owned by the Istiqamah Foundation, interviewing the perpetrators to complete historical evidence and verified through contemporary sources in newspapers and magazines and then verified into written facts."

"Penelitian ini membahas dakwah Jemaat Ahmadiyah Indonesia (JAI) dengan spirit moto Love for All, Hatred for None disertai tantangan yang dihadapi dalam berdakwah. Dengan berbagai isu dan kontroversi terhadap eksistensinya baik dari masyarakat hingga pemerintah membuat hal ini menjadi penting dan menarik untuk dikaji berkaitan strategi dakwah JAI di tengah pertentangan atas keberadaannya. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori dakwah yang dikemukakan oleh Bakhial Khauli. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode studi kepustakaan terhadap berbagai referensi literatur dan metode wawancara dengan juru bicara JAI, Mubaligh JAI, dan anggota JAI. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan konsep dan strategi dakwah JAI dalam mempertahankan serta memperluas eksistensinya di Indonesia didasarkan pada spirit moto Love for All, Hatred for None. Dari hasil penelitian ini, penulis menemukan bahwa moto Love for All, Hatred for None mengandung pesan perdamaian yang menjadi spirit JAI dalam berdakwah menyebarkan ajarannya dan memperluas pengaruhnya di Indonesia baik secara internal maupun eksternal. Dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan baik secara internal maupun eksternal, JAI menjadikan moto miliknya sebagai mandat dalam tindakan serta merespon peristiwa yang terjadi.

This study discusses the preaching of the Jemaat Ahmadiyah Indonesia (JAI) trough the spirit of the motto Love for All, Hatred for None along with the challenges faced in preaching. With various issues and controversies over its existence, both from the community and the government, this is important and interesting to study regarding JAI's missionary strategy in the midst of conflict over its existence. The theory used is the da'wah theory put forward by Bakhial Khauli. This research is included in the qualitative research with a descriptive design. The data collection method used was a literature study method of various literature references and interviews with a JAI spokesperson, two JAI preachers, and a JAI member. The purpose of this study is to explain the concepts and strategies of JAI's da'wah in maintaining and expanding its existence in Indonesia based on the spirit of the motto Love for All, Hatred for None. From the results of this study, the authors found that the motto Love for All, Hatred for None contains a message of peace which is the spirit of JAI in preaching, spreading its teachings and expanding its influence in Indonesia both internally and externally. In facing various challenges both internally and externally, JAI makes its motto as a mandate to act and respond to events that occur."

"ABSTRAK Tesis ini mengangkat tentang retorika dalam dakwah yang dilakukan oleh ulamabetawi. Retorika merupakan salah satu metode dalam melakukan persuasi.Retorika yang dikonseptualisasikan dalam tesis ini setidaknya memuat tiga unsurutama yang dimiliki oleh komunikator yaitu ethos (etika dan kredibilitas), pathos(keterikatan emosi), dan logos (logis). Melalui desain kualitatif dengan penjabarandeskriptif, tesis ini menemukan bahwa komunikator memiliki tiga unsur tersebutsehingga mempermudah terjadinya proses persuasi dakwahnya. Karena itu,kentalnya nilai-nilai keislaman pada masyarakat betawi menunjukkan peranpenting retorika dalam kegiatan dakwah ulamanya. ABSTRAK This thesis discuss the rhetoric in in Islamic religious teaching (or Da’wah)practiced by the Betawis Islamic religious teachers (or Ulama). Rhetoris is one ofthe methods of persuasion. The rhetoric concepted inside this thesis concist, atleast, three main elements of communicator, they are ethos (ethic and credibility),phatos (emotional attachment), and logos (logic). By qualitative design withdescriptive explanation, this thesis find that the communicator (Betawis’ Ulama)posses all those elements which ease the Da’wah persuasion process.Accordingly, the well embedded Islamic values among the Betawi people showthe importance of rhetoric in their Ulamas’ Da’wah. Therefore, it can beconcluded that the Betawis’ Ulama’s Da’wah prioritized in scientific andintelectual activities"
