"Tinplate is commonly used as the base material for food and beverage container. This material is produced by electroplating a steel strip with a thin coating of tin. Several processes are then carried out to ensure appropriate performance for the industry. Some characteristics such as resistance to rust, corrosion, and discoloration should be maintained. In this experiment the passivation layer, which is the outer coating of tinplate is studied to determine some aspects of damage to the tinplate surface in its performance. "

"Artikel ini menganalisis kinerja proses pengadaan bahan baku utama Tinplate menggunakan kerangka SCOR 11.0. Analisis ini dilakukan di PT. Latinusa, Tbk. sebagai satu-satunya produsen Tinplate di Indonesia. Karena persaingan semakin ketat akibat kelebihan kapasitas baja global yang mempengaruhi pasar Tinplate Indonesia (dilemahkan oleh masalah harga Dumping dari tiga negara: China, Korea Selatan, dan Taiwan), PT. Latinusa, Tbk. terus mengalami kerugian finansial meskipun Dumping Duty (BMAD) telah telah diterapkan sejak tahun 2014. Dengan persaingan yang semakin ketat, PT. Latinusa, Tbk. perlu meningkatkan keunggulan dalam kinerja rantai pasoknya, khususnya dalam pengadaan bahan bakunya, karena perusahaan sepenuhnya bergantung pada pasokan dari impor dengan pasokan terbatas dan waktu tunggu yang lama. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan SCOR Strategic Metric (reliability, responsiveness, and asset management efficiency), yang semuanya menghasilkan kinerja dibawah dari target yang ditetapkan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa manajemen persediaan yang tidak tepat adalah faktor utama yang menyebabkan kinerja yang buruk.

This article analyzes the performance of Tinplate's main raw material procurement process using SCOR 11.0 framework. This analysis is conducted at PT. Latinusa, Tbk. as the only Tinplate manufacturer in Indonesia. As the competition becomes tighter due to global steel overcapacity which affects Indonesia's Tinplate market (weakened by Dumping price issue from three countries: China, South Korea, and Taiwan), PT. Latinusa, Tbk. keeps having its financial injury despite Dumping Duty (BMAD) has already been applied since 2014. With tighter competition, PT. Latinusa, Tbk. needs to excel in its supply chain performance, specifically in its raw material procurement as the company is fully relied on its supply from import with limited supply and long lead time. Analysis is conducted by using SCOR Strategic Metric (reliability, responsiveness, and asset management efficiency), which all resulted in below than target stated. The results indicate that improper inventory management is the main factor that caused the poor performance."

"Makalah ini membahas prasasti-prasasti timah yang ditemukan di Sungai Batanghari. Prasasti yang akan diteliti sebanyak empat lempeng yang disimpan di eks-BPCB Sumatera Barat (BPK Wilayah III) dan eks-BPCB Jambi (BPK Wilayah V). Fenomena penemuan lebih dari seratus lempeng prasasti timah di sungai-sungai di Sumatra menjadi awal penentuan permasalahan penelitian, yaitu bagaimana keterkaitan prasasti timah dengan Sungai Batanghari. Permasalahan ini dikaji dengan memperhatikan perilaku religi berupa pemberian persembahan (offering) kepada Sungai Batanghari. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa langkah penelitian, yaitu pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, dan interpretasi data. Penelitian ini menghasilkan pengetahuan sejarah lokal tentang penggunaan prasasti sebagai alat untuk membentengi diri dari gangguan makhluk jahat dan menjaga keselarasan alam. Prasasti timah dan Sungai Batanghari memiliki hubungan yang erat, yaitu prasasti sebagai benda persembahan dan sungai sebagai tempat “penyimpanan” benda-benda yang dipersembahkan tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini akan menjadi referensi sejarah Sumatra, sumber motivasi bagi masyarakat sekitar DAS Batanghari, dan acuan bagi para pemangku kepentingan sehingga objek-objek yang diduga cagar budaya dari Sungai Batanghari dapat lestari.

This paper discusses tin plate inscriptions found on the Batanghari River. There are 4 inscriptions that will be examined which are kept at the ex-BPCB West Sumatra (BPK Region III) and the ex-BPCB Jambi (BPK Region V). The phenomenon of finding more than a hundred tin plate inscriptions in rivers in Sumatra became the beginning of a research problem: how the tin inscriptions are related to the Batanghari River. This problem is studied by paying attention to religious behaviour in the form of offering to the Batanghari River. This research was conducted through several research steps: data collection, data processing, and data analysis. This research produces local historical knowledge about the use of inscriptions as a tool to fortify oneself from evil creatures and maintain harmony in nature. Tin plate inscriptions and the Batanghari River have a close relationship: the inscription as an offering and the river as a "storage" of the ceremonial objects. The results of this research will become a reference for the history of Sumatra, a source of motivation for the people around the Batanghari watershed, and a reference for stakeholders so that objects suspected of being cultural heritage from the Batanghari River can be preserved."

"Satu set baja JIS G4404 SKD61 di carbonitriding dengan tujuan meningkatkan karakteristik mekanik maupun ketahanan korosi. Proses Carbonitriding dilakukan di dalam furnace dengan suhu 750°C, 850°C, 950°C selama 120, 240, dan 360 menit untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh waktu selama perlakuan Carbonitriding terhadap kualitas lapisan carbonitriding. Evolusi mikrostruktur dari senyawa dan lapisan difusi dipelajari dengan memindai analisis difraksi mikroskop elektron. Dari karakterisasi mekanis, peningkatan kekerasan mikro diamati terutama secara kontinyu dengan berbagai parameter komposisi powder nitrogen dan karbon untuk menemukan kekerasan mikro yang lebih baik serta ketahanan korosi pada temperature tinggi. Pengujian korosi dengan metode EIS menunjukan bahwa mekanisme Carbonitriding dengan berbagai variasi parameters agar terbentuk pasif layer yang dapat menghambat laju korosi permukaan baja JIS 4404 memperlihatkan hasil yang berbeda beda. Metode penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil yang paling baik adalah metode sample C4N yang menghasilkan laju korosi 0,04 mm/year sedangkan hasil yang paling buruk adalah C2N2 yang menghasilkan laju korosi 0,9 mm/year. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa white layer compound yang terbentuk dari hasil carbonitriding membuat nilai laju korosi menjadi excellent yang dapat dibandingkan dengan laju korosi dalam mpy dengan beberapa satuan metris dimana laju korosi 0,02 < 0,1 mm/year.

A set of JIS G4404 SKD61 steels were Carbonitriding with the aim of improving their performance as matrices and pins. The Carbonitriding process was performed in furnace at 750°C, 850°C,950°C for 120, 240, and 360 minutes in order to evaluate the effect of time during the Carbonitriding treatment on the quality of the Carbonitriding layer. Microstructural evolution of the compound and diffusion layers were studied by scanning electron microscopy diffraction analysis. From mechanical characterization, improving micro hardness was observed mainly a continuous with variety parameters nitrogen and carbon compositions In order to find better micro hardness and find the best corrosion resistant in hight temperature corrosion term. Corrosion testing using the EIS method shows that the carbonitriding mechanism with various parameters to form a passive layer which can reduce the corrosion rate of the JIS 4404 steel surface shows different results. This research method gets the best results is the sample method C4N which produces a corrosion rate of 0.04 mm / year while the worst result is C2N2 which produces a corrosion rate of 0.9 mm / year. The results showed that the white layer compound formed from the results of carbonitriding made the corrosion rate excellent, which could be compared with the corrosion rate in mpy with several metric units where the corrosion rate was 0.02 <0.1 mm / year."
