Hasil kesimpulan skripsi ini adalah novel Partikel mengandung sebuah gagasan utama bahwa pada hakikatnya manusia dan alam adalah satu.

Our environmental crisis is caused by human culture. People often lack understanding of nature and have difficulty building a good relationship with their environment. Many narratives seek to change culture by improving such understanding, and this thesis takes the Indonesian contemporary novel Supernova: Partikel, written by Dewi “Dee” Lestari as possible example of such work. In this thesis, the goal of the research is to explain ecocriticism and understand the ecocritical content of this novel. And indeed, evaluating Partikel from an ecocritical perspective we conclude that it helps us to understand nature and explains us how human and nature are one."

"ABSTRAKKepentingan manusia akan tetap ada dalam suatu pengambilan keputusan sekalipun yang berkaitan dengan alam. Hal tersebut dikarenakan bahwa manusia adalah satu-satunya makhluk yang memiliki kasadaran dan menyadari adanya kerusakan lingkungan. Kesadaran manusia membentuk kepedulian terhadap lingkungan sehingga manusia dapat merencanakan pelestarian lingkungan. Olehkarena itu maka meskipun alam sudah dianggap sebagai subyek moral akan tetapi yang bisa menjadi pelaku moral hanyalah manusia saja. Hanya manusialah yang dapat mempertimbangkan dan memutuskan mana kepentingan yang semestinya didahulukan apabila terdapat dua kepentingan yang bertabrakan. Kepedulian manusia untuk mengadakan pelestarian alam tersebut merupakan suatu bentukkepentingan manusia dalam alam. Meskipun antroposentrisme telah runtuh, porsi kepentingan manusia masih tetap selalu ada dalam pengambilan keputusan. Perlu diketahui bahwa selalu ada kepentingan manusia bukan berarti adalah terpusat manusia. Pembuktian adanya kepentingan manusia ini dilakukan melalui komparasi pemikiran deep ecology Arne Naes dan utilitarianisme Peter Singer. Pemikiran keduanya meskipun tidak lagi terpusat pada manusia tetapi manusia sebagai satu-satunya agen moral adalah hal yang tidak dapat dapat dihindari lagisehingga kepentingan manusia selalu ada dalam setiap pengambilan keputusan terkait dengan alam.
