"Untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai dunia kerja di lingkungan pemerintahan, maka diadakan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) di Direktorat Bina Pelayanan Kefarmasian, Kementerian Kesehatan RI. Tujuan PKPA di Direktorat Bina Pelayanan Kefarmasian yaitu memahami secara umum tugas dan struktur organisasi Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia, serta memperoleh wawasan dan pengetahuan mengenai peranan apoteker dalam bidang pelayanan kefarmasian khususnya dalam bidang standarisasi, farmasi klinik, farmasi komunitas dan penggunaan obat rasional. Tugas khusus yang diberikan ialah mengenai anatomical therapeutic chemical/ defined daily dose (ATC/DDD) dari metformin dan simvastatin.

Pharmacist Professional Working Practice report (PKPA) is proposed as one of the requirements to obtain a Pharmacists degree. Pharmacist Professional Working Practice (PKPA) in the Directorate General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices is aimed to:

a. Pharmacists can know and understand the duties in the Directorate General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices of the Ministry of Health, particularly in the Directorate of Production and Distribution of Pharmaceutical.

b. The candidate of pharmacists can understand the role and function of the pharmacist profession in carrying out the work of pharmacy in the Directorate General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices of Ministry of Health, particularly in the Directorate of Production and Distribution of Pharmaceutical.

Special assignement in the Directorate General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices titled the study of survey result of Installed Capacity, Production Capacity and Idle Capacity of Pharmaceutical Industry in Indonesia. The objective of this special assignment is to determine the installed capacity, production capacity, and idle capacity of all drugs in Fornas nationally by doing data processing of the survey results. With the complete database, the scarcity of drugs can be pevented and the national health can be achieved."
