Dalam bidang periklanan, bahasa memiliki peran yang sangat penting. Bahasa dapat menjadikan sebuah iklan agar tampak lebih menarik. Dalam iklan,ada banyak sekali alat retorika yang dapat dipergunakan. Parallelismus, alliteration, dan endreim merupakan tigadiantaranya.Lufthansa yang merupakan maskapai penerbangan Jerman juga menggunakan alat retorikadalam iklannya agar terlihat menarik. Penggunaan parallelismus, alliteration, dan endreim dijadikan oleh Lufthansa sebagai alat untuk menarik perhatian konsumen. Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bentuk parallelismus, alliteration, dan endreim yang terdapat di dalam iklan maskapai penerbangan Lufthansa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yang bersumber pada kajian pustaka. Penelitian ini meneliti sepuluh iklan Lufthansa mengenai penggunaan parallelismus, alliteration, dan endreim dalam iklan Lufthansa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penggunaan parallelismus, alliteration, dan endreim ditemukan pada sepuluh iklan maskapai penerbangan Lufthansa ini. Parallelismus, alliteration, dan endreim yang muncul berfungsi untuk menarik perhatian konsumen.
ABSTRACTIn the field of advertising, language has a very important role. Language can make an advertisement to appear more attractive. In advertising, there are a lot of rhetorical figures that can be used. Parallelismus, alliteration, and endreim are three of them. Lufthansa, an airline from Germany, also use rhetorical figures in their advertisement to make it look attractive. They are used by Lufthansa as a tool to attract potential customers. Thus, this study explain parallelismus, alliteration, and endreim that contained in the Lufthansa‟s advertisements. This study uses qualitative method which is based on a literature review. "[ ABSTRAK
Retorika merupakan seni dalam berbicara. Di dalam sebuah iklan, terdapat retorika sebagai salah satu unsur terpenting karena dengan unsur retorika tersebut iklan dapat dibuat menjadi semenarik mungkin sehingga pembaca berminat untuk menyimak iklan secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan unsur retorika dalam sepuluh iklan cetak Lufthansa Jerman. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yang bersumber pada kajian pustaka. Analisis yang digunakan dengan menganalisis unsur utama iklan antara lain Schlagzeile, Unterüberschrift, dan slogan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang saya lakukan, saya menemukan penggunaan unsur retorika dalam sepuluh iklan Lufthansa berbahasa Jerman tersebut sebagai salah satu pembentuknya. Hal tersebut berfungsi sebagai pembentuk citra yang kuat terhadap produk yang sedang diiklankan. Penggunaan unsur retorika pada sebuah iklan membuat iklan tersebut menjadi terstruktur dan lebih menarik perhatian pembacanya.

"Penelitian ini menguraikan tentang pengaruh masalah obesitas yang terjadi di kalangan anak-anak Jerman terhadap iklan Kinder Schokolade, baik itu dari segi bahasa maupun dari segi visualnya. Iklan yang diteliti terdiri atas sembilan iklan cetak Kinder Schokolade dari tahun 2010-2013 dengan tiga versi iklan yang berbeda, yang dianalisis dari aspek semantik dan semiotik. Di dalam penelitian ini dipaparkan perubahan komponen-komponen dalam iklan-iklan Kinder Schokolade sejak muncul permasalahan obesitas pada anak-anak. Pilihan kata dan gambar berperan penting dalam setiap iklannya karena dapat membentuk citra produk yang positif sebagai produk makanan yang berhubungan erat dengan anak-anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklan-iklan Kinder Schokolade terpengaruh permasalahan obesitas.

This study describe about the effect of the children’s obesity problem against Kinder Schokolade advertising in terms of languange and visual. This advertisement consist of nine Kinder Schokolade print advertisement from 2010-2013 with three different versions and it will be analyzed from the semantic and semiotic aspects. In this study will be presented about the change in the components of Kinder Schokolade advertisement since the children’s obesity problem appear. The choice of words and images play the important role in each advertisement because it can make a positive image as food product that have closely relationship with the children. The results showed that Kinder Schokolade advertising affected by the obesity problem.

"Iklan merupakan salah satu bentuk strategi pemasaran yang menarik untuk diteliti, terutama dari segi penulisan dan penggunaan bahasa agar penyampaiannya lebih menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk dan fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi yang terdapat dalam brosur iklan. Korpus data yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah brosur milik IKEA Jerman edisi Schlafzimmer (kamar tidur) terbitan tahun 2021 yang diperoleh secara daring melalui situs resmi IKEA (https://www.ikea.com/de/de). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan didukung dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan analisis deskriptif. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori tindak tutur milik John Searle (1983) untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk dan fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penemuan empat bentuk tindak tutur ilokusi, yaitu asertif, direktif, komisif, dan ekspresif. Kemudian ditemukan juga delapan fungsi dari bentuk tindak tutur ilokusi, yaitu menyatakan, mengklaim, memerintah, menasihati, merekomendasi, menjanjikan, menawarkan, dan berterima kasih.

Advertising is a form of marketing strategy that has been considered an interesting object to study, especially from the way it is written and its use of language. This study aims to identify the forms and functions of illocutionary speech acts found in an advertising brochure. The data corpus chosen for this study is IKEA Germany’s Schlafzimmer online brochure, published in 2021. The brochure is procured through IKEA’s official website (https://www.ikea.com/de/de). This study uses qualitative approach and is supported by quantitative method as well as descriptive analysis method. This study uses John Searle’s (1983) speech act theory to identify the forms and functions of illocutionary speech acts. Results show there are four forms of illocutionary speech act found in the data corpus, namely assertive, directive, commissive, and expressive. Eight types of functions of illocutionary speech are also found, namely stating, claiming, ordering, advising, recommending, offering, and thanking."

"Pada akhir abad ke-20, restoran cepat saji seperti KFC, Lotteria dan CFC telah membuka cabang di berbagai negara termasuk Indonesia. Hal ini disebabkan oleh globalisasi dan gaya hidup yang sibuk, oleh karena itu tidak sedikit yang memilih untuk makan diluar untuk menghemat waktu. Produk asing secara penuh dapat diterima oleh masyarakat atau harus diubah sesuai dengan selera lokal. Dengan itu restoran cepat saji yang berasal dari luar membutuhkan strategi yang berbeda untuk menjual makanannya dan mengubah produknya sesuai selera konsumen. Penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana restoran cepat saji direpresentasikan dan bagaimana cara mereka mengiklankan makanannya melalui video. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa iklan restoran cepat saji menarik konsumen dengan menggunakan referensi lokal.

Since the late 20th century, fast food chains, like KFC, Lotteria and CFC, have opened branches worldwide including in Indonesia. This is due to globalization, along with the busy lifestyle people have, therefore people choose eat out rather to cook at home to save more time. A foreign product is either fully accepted or modified to the local?s need. For a foreign fast food chain to open in Indonesia, they need to adjust its product and use a different strategy to promote. This study analyses how the fast food chain is represented and the way they advertise through video advertisement, whether they localize their menu, or in contrast, highlight their original roots. This paper finds that the fast food chain advertisements attract consumers by using their local references."

In order to create or develop an effective and attractive advertisement, we as designer, could use a verbal and visual rhetoric to convey our messages. Rhetoric itself is a principle or guide to develop messages. It plays in two language levels, which is 'language proper' and 'figurative language'. "Wardah merupakan produk kosmetik yang berhasil menjadi pelopor kosmetik yang membentuk positioning Islamic brand sebagai strategi dalam menghadapi persaingannya di industri kosmetik. Disini, khalayak turut menentukan keberhasilan dari positioning yang dibentuk Wardah. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pemahaman yang didukung konsep IMC untuk memahami pemahaman khalayak dalam konsumsi teks iklan Wardah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma post-positivis dan teknik analisis tematik. Target dalam penelitian ini ialah wanita dewasa awal pengguna kosmetik Wardah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman khalayak mengenai penyampaian pesan dalam iklan Wardah di media tidak hanya menekankan aspek religiusitasnya, akan tetapi juga terdapat pengaruh dari segi keunggulan kualitas serta konsep Halal pada produk Wardah.

Wardah is the cosmetic product which is success as the cosmetic pioneer forms positioning of islamic brand as a strategic in cosmetic industry competition. Public determine achievment from the positioning that is formed by Wardah. This research used the theory of understanding and IMC as the concept of supporters to understand the audience's understanding of the text advertising Wardah consumption. This research used a qualitative approach to the post-positivist paradigm and technique of thematic analysis. The target in this research are the early adulthood females who are the users of Wardah cosmetics. This result of this research indicates that the audience`s understanding about the delivery of messages in advertising Wardah in the media is not emphasize of the religiusitasn aspect, but also there are influenced by preeminence quality and the concept of Halal in Wardah products.

Pada masa kini, manusia semakin menginginkan hal yang instan, mudah, dan praktis, termasuk
dalam hal makanan. Oleh karena itu, banyak bermunculan restoran cepat saji, salah satunya adalah
restoran asal Amerika, McDonald. Dalam memasarkan produknya, peranan iklan sangatlah
penting sehingga diperlukan pembuatan iklan yang kreatif dan atraktif, salah satunya dengan
menggunakan gaya bahasa iklan. McDonald menggunakan beberapa alat retorik untuk menyokong
iklan mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahasa bagaimana alat retorik tersebut digunakan
dalam 10 iklan McDonald berbahasa Jerman di tahun 2014 untuk menarik para konsume.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan alat retorik yang digunakan, yakni Positionsfiguren,
Wiederholungsfiguren, Erweiterungsfiguren, Kürzungsfiguren, dan Appelfiguren. Penggunaan alat
retorik tersebut membuat iklan McDonald lebih menarik namun tetap singkat dan padat.

nowadays there are more and more restaurants that serve variety of fast foods, one of them is a
fast-food restaurant from The United States, McDonald. To spread the products widely, creating a
creative yet attractive advertisement plays an important role, such as using a language style in
commercial advertisement. McDonald use some of the rhetorical figures to support their
commercial. Thus, this study explain how those rhetorical figures are used in 10 McDonald􀂶􀁖􀀃
german advertisements in year 2014 to attract the consuments. Based on the result of the study, the

"Penelitian ini membahas tentang Iklan Produk dan Jasa sebagai Refleksi Konsumsi Masyarakat Semarang, Kajian Khusus atas De Locomotief, Selompret melajoe, dan Djawa Tengah. Iklan surat kabar dapat digunakan sebagai bukti atau artefak sejarah untuk menggambarkan tentang keadaan masyarakat khususnya masyarakat kota Semarang. Pada abad ke- 20 (1900- 1930) masyarakat Semarang mengalami perubahan atau lanjutan modernisasi yang diawali pada masa Politik Liberal (1870) yaitu dari masyarakat feodal tradisional menjadi masyarakat modern. Lewat iklan 3 surat kabar terpenting di Semarang yaitu De Locomotief, Selompret Melajoe, dan Djawa Tengah dapat merefleksikan keadaan konsumsi masyarakat Semarang yang modern itu. Konsumsi masyarakat Semarang itu dilihat dari jenis iklan produk dan jasa yang ada pada iklan surat kabar tersebut. Dari konsumsi masyarakat terlihat gaya hidup dari masyarakat Semarang sendiri, seperti peralatan hidup yang digunakan dan kegiatan yang dilakukan. Dan terbukti bahwa masyarakat Semarang sedang mengalami kelanjutan modernisasi yang pesat pada awal abad ke- 20. Dapat terlihat jelas gambaran Iklan yang terkait erat dengan kondisi tersebut. Sebagai penelitian sejarah, telaah ini berfokus pada verifikasi iklan produk dan jasa terhadap teks dan gambaran keadaan masyarakat. Kemudian di rekontruksikan secara kronologis dan deskriptif ke dalam sebuah cerita sejarah.

This research studies about the advertisement of goods and services as a consumption reflection of Semarang community, a case study on De Locomotief, SelompretMelajoe dan Djawa Tengah. Advertisement in the newspapers can be employed as an attestation or historical artifact that portrays the condition of a community, especially the community of Kota Semarang. In 20th century, (1900-1930), the community of Kota Semarang came into a change, which was commenced by the Liberal Politics in 1870, from the traditional-feudal to the modern community. By studying 3 (three) well-known newspapers at that time, namely, De Locomotief, Selompret Melajoe,dan Djawa Tengah, those reflected the condition of modern community in Kota Semarang. The consumption pattern of community of Kota Semarang can be observed by the types of goods and services advertisement in those newspapers. By observing the consumption pattern of the community, it is demonstrated the life style of Semarang community, such as tools for living and daily activities. And, it proves that the people of Kota Semarang were still on the process of changing within modernization at early 20th century. It is able to be clearly discovered the depiction of advertisement that firmly reflected the condition in that time.As a research in history science, the analysis focuses on the verification of printed advertisement to the text and description of the community. Then, it reconstructs in a chronological order and descriptive ways into a historical story."

"Jika kita memperhatikan sebuah iklan, baik itu iklan media cetak atau media massa, kita dapat menemukan bahwa di dalam iklan-iklan itu ternyata menggunakan cara yang tidak pernah terpikirkan oleh kita. Seorang pembuat iklan yang mempunyai ide dan kreatifitas yang kuat dapat mengubah kata-kata, kalimat, atau bahkan gambaran visual menjadi media periklanan yang menarik perhatian para konsumen. Fenomena penggunaan bahasa, khususnya verbal dan non-verbal inilah, yang membuat wacana periklanan sangat menarik untuk dikaji dan dianalisis. Untuk mengetahui penggunaan bahasa atau tanda-tanda dalam iklan, ada tiga hal penting yang harus dipahami seperti yang dicetuskan oleh Van Dijk, yaitu superstruktur, struktur mikro dan struktur makro dari wacana iklan tersebut. Tidak lupa juga, didukung oleh struktur pendukung iklan yang diterapkan oleh Geofrey Leech yaitu headline, illustration(s), body copy, signature line (logo), dan standing details.Penulis berpendapat bahwa iklan-iklan media cetak banyak menggunakan kata-kata atau kalimat-kalimat yang mempunyai makna tersirat selain dari makna yang sebenarnya. Pada iklan di televisi dapat juga ditemukan penggunaan cerita, gambaran, dan visual yang membuat iklan itu menarik. Salah satu iklan yang menarik untuk penulis analisis adalah iklan Nike berjudul “Garuda di Dada Kita” yang memiliki unsur verbal dan non verbal yang sangat persuasif bila dibaca. Oleh karena itu penulis memilih iklan Nike sebagai objek dalam analisis wacana ini.

If we see advertisements on mass media or print media, we will see that the advertisement use unordinary style to make people interested on it. An ads creator who has fine ideas and creativity can make catchy words, sentences, and visual contents for the readers. The phenomena of language using in media, especially verbal and non-verbal, is interesting content to examine. According to Van Dijk, there are three important components, which are superstructure, macrostructure, and microstructure, to observe the signs and language using in advertisement. The superstructure theory of Van Dijk is supported by Geofrey Leech theory. In his theory, he thinks that there is supporting structures in advertisement, which are headline, illustration(s), body copy, signature line (logo), and standing details. I assume that advertisements in print media often use words or sentences that have implicit meanings besides its real meaning. The using of storylines, images, and visual contents are found in advertisement on television to attract the audiences. The advertisement of Nike on print media is interesting one to discuss because it has many persuasive verbal and non-verbal elements. In this article, I will examine the advertisement of Nike “Garuda di Dada Kita” as an object of my analysis.
