"Material adalah komponen yang tak terpisahkan dalam arsitektur. Perkembangan kebutuhan manusia mendorong manusia untuk berinovasi menemukan material baru untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya. Namun di sisi lain, eksploitasi alam secara besar-besaran untuk keperluan lingkung bangun terutama untuk keperluan material bangunan, menimbulkan kerusakan dan ketidak stabilan ekosistem. Konsep arsitektur ekologis hadir sebagai dimensi ekologis dalam arsitektur yang penuh perhatian kepada lingkungan alam dengan sumber daya alam yang terbatas. Material alami sebagai material yang ekologis dianggap dapat meredakan masalah tersebut. Penggunaan material alami dapat ikut menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem lewat pengurangan penggunaan sumber daya alam; pengurangan penggunaan energi pada saat eksploitasi, produksi, transportasi dan pembangunan; melestarian ketukangan lokal; dan keberlanjutan di bidang ekonomi.
Materials is inseparable from architecture. The developments of human needs encourage innovation of new materials to meet their needs. On the other hand, the exploitation of nature on a large scale for built environment, especially materials, cause damaged and unstable ecosystem. Eco architecture concept present as attentive to the natural environment with limited natural resources. Natural material as eco materials are considered to alleviate the problems. The use of natural materials can maintaining stability of ecosystem through reduced use of natural resources; reduction in energy use at exploitation, production, transportation and construction; preserving local craftsmanship; and sustainability in economic field."

"Tugas akhir ini membahas perancangan coworking space dengan berbasis Transit Oriented Development (TOD) dan konsep sustainable architecture. Coworking space merupakan konsep tempat kerja bersama yang semakin populer di era modern ini, sedangkan TOD adalah pendekatan perancangan yang mengintegrasikan coworking space dengan sistem transportasi umum yang efisien. Konsep sustainable architecture diterapkan untuk menciptakan bangunan yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menggabungkan konsep-konsep tersebut dalam merancang coworking space yang memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna serta berkontribusi dalam menjaga keberlanjutan lingkungan. Pendekatan perancangan melibatkan analisis terhadap potensi lokasi yang terintegrasi dengan sistem transportasi umum, identifikasi kebutuhan pengguna, serta penerapan prinsip-prinsip arsitektur berkelanjutan. Melalui studi literatur dan penelitian lapangan, ditemukan bahwa penerapan TOD dapat meningkatkan aksesibilitas coworking space dari berbagai lokasi dengan menggunakan transportasi umum. Konsep ini juga dapat mengurangi penggunaan mobil pribadi dan mengurangi emisi karbon, serta mendorong mobilitas berkelanjutan. Selain itu, penggunaan material ramah lingkungan, desain yang memaksimalkan pencahayaan alami, dan penerapan teknologi hijau juga menjadi fokus dalam perancangan ini. Hasil tugas akhir ini adalah desain coworking space yang terintegrasi dengan stasiun transportasi umum, menawarkan fasilitas yang memadai, dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang nyaman serta ramah lingkungan. Desain ini diharapkan dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi pengembangan coworking space yang berkelanjutan di masa depan, mengurangi dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan, dan mendorong mobilitas yang efisien.
This final project discusses the design of a coworking space based on Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and the concept of sustainable architecture. Coworking space is a coworking space concept that is becoming increasingly popular in this modern era, while TOD is a design approach that integrates coworking space with an efficient public transportation system. The concept of sustainable architecture is applied to create environmentally friendly and sustainable buildings. This final project aims to combine these concepts in designing a coworking space that meets user needs and contributes to maintaining environmental sustainability. The design approach involves an analysis of potential locations that are integrated with the public transportation system, identification of user needs, and application of sustainable architectural principles. Through literature studies and field research, it was found that the application of TOD can increase the accessibility of coworking spaces from various locations using public transportation. This concept can also reduce the use of private cars and reduce carbon emissions, as well as encourage sustainable mobility. In addition, the use of environmentally friendly materials, designs that maximize natural lighting, and the application of green technology are also the focus of this design. The result of this final project is a coworking space design that is integrated with public transportation stations, offers adequate facilities, and creates a comfortable and environmentally friendly work environment. This design is expected to be an inspiration for the development of sustainable coworking spaces in the future, reducing negative impacts on the environment, and encouraging efficient mobility."
