"This book presents broad description of numerical tools successfully applied to structural dynamic analysis. Physically we deal with non-conservative systems. The discrete approach formulated with the use of the classical finite element method results in elemental matrices, which can be directly added to global structure matrices. A more general approach is carried out with the space-time finite element method. In such a case, a trajectory of the moving concentrated parameter in space and time can be simply defined. The structures described by pure hyperbolic differential equations such as strings and structures described by hyperbolic-parabolic differential equations such as beams and plates. More complex structures such as frames, grids, shells, and three-dimensional objects, can be treated with the use of the solutions given in this book."

"This book presents a theoretical approach that allows the analysis of structures with magnetorheological and electrorheological layers, and shows, with the help of examples, how the mechanical behaviour of thin-walled laminated structures can be influenced.
It consists of six chapters:
Chapter 1 presents a brief overview of derivation approaches for theories of thin-walled structures, modelling of composites and modelling of laminated and sandwich structures.
Chapter 2 describes the equivalent single layer model for thin laminated cylindrical shells, including the special cases of plates and beams. In addition to the classical mechanical properties, it also considers the electrorheological and magnetorheological properties.
Chapter 3 presents the elastic buckling of laminated beams, plates, and cylindrical shells, discussing various problems, such as the influence of the boundary conditions, external loading and magnetic fields. It also suggests different approximations for asymptotic methods.
Chapter 4 focuses on the free vibrations of elastic laminated beams, plates and cylindrical shells, investigating the influence of the boundary conditions and other factors.
Chapter 5 presents the latest results concerning vibration of laminated structures composed of smart materials and discusses in detail the influence of electric and magnetic fields on smart structures. These results provide insights into the optimal design of these structures.
Lastly, Chapter 6 features a short appendix presenting asymptotic estimates and series."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan eksperimental dan numerik terhadap perilaku mekanis struktur pagar keamanan tingkat tinggi skala penuh dengan melakukan eksperimen pengujian statik untuk menguji kemampuan struktur pagar menahan beban sendiri dan gaya tarik dengan memperhatikan karakteristik properti material dan memberikan beban sesuai dengan tahapan konfigurasi pembebanan tertentu sampai struktur pagar dapat berdeformasi. Penelitian ini menawarkan penyelidikan komprehensif terhadap aspek eksperimental dan numerik dari kinerja statis struktur pagar dengan keamanan tinggi, menjembatani kesenjangan antara pemahaman teoretis dan aplikasi praktis di bidang rekayasa infrastruktur keamanan. Hasil pengujian statis antara lain mencakup penilaian kekuatan tarik, deformasi dan defleksi. Hasil prediksi menggunakan software mengenai defleksi dan mode kegagalan diharapkan sesuai dengan hasil eksperimen, menunjukkan bahwa metode elemen hingga (MEH) secara akurat mensimulasikan prediksi pengujian aktual di lapangan.

The focus of this research is on investigating the mechanical behaviour of full-scale high-security fence structures through a combination of experimental evaluation under static loading conditions and numerical investigations using the StaadPro  (FEA) application with linear analysis. A full-scale experiment using a 12-meter-lengths High Security Fence was conducted to explore key mechanical performance aspects aimed at enhancing the security and reliability of high-security fence structure. This experimental evaluation assesses the structural performance of the High Security Fence under static loading conditions, considering the characteristics of material properties and applying loads according to specific loading configurations until the fence structure experiences grand displacements, providing insights into stress distribution, deformation patterns, and identifying potential structural vulnerabilities.  These experimental findings served as a crucial foundation for developing accurate numerical models. The integration of experimental data and numerical simulations bridges the gap between theoretical analysis and practical applications, enabling informed decision-making regarding material selection."
