"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepribadian terhadap minat mahasiswa dalam memilih karir menjadi akuntan publik melalui pendekatan Myers ndash;Briggs Type Indicator MBTI . Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan survei kepada mahasiswa program sarjana akuntansi yang aktif dan terdaftar di Departemen Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Indonesia pada periode 2015/2016 dengan rentang angkatan 2011 sampai dengan 2013. Data diuji dengan menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa preferensi kepribadian yang berhubungan dengan pengambilan informasi dan pembuatan keputusan yakni fungsi sensing dan thinking memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pemilihan karir mahasiswa untuk menjadi akuntan publik.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of personality towards student rsquo s interest in choosing career to be public accountant through Myers ndash Briggs Type Indicator MBTI approach. This research is conducted by doing a survey to undergraduate accounting students at Departement of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business University of Indonesia in the period of 2015 2016 with student batch ranged from 2011 to 2013.
