"ABSTRAKThis article reviews research on the role of stress in infectious disease as measured either by illness behaviors (symptoms and use of health services) or by verified pathology. Substantial evidence was found for an association between stress and increased illness behavior, and less convincing but provocative evidence was found for a similar association between stress and infectious pathology. Introverts, isolates, and persons lacking social skills may also be at increased risk for both illness behaviors and pathology. Psychobiological models of how stress could influence the onset and progression of infectious disease and a psychological model of how stress could influence illness behaviors are proposed. "

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan antara trait kepribadian neuroticism dengan psychological well-being pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengambilan data. Data penelitian kemudian diolah dengan menggunakan teknik statistik Pearson Product-Moment Correlation. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 111 orang mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas indonesia dengan rentang usia 20-25 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur trait neuroticism yang diambil dari NEO-FFI versi singkat dan alat ukur psychological well-being yaitu Ryff?s Scales of Psychological Well-Being yang dikembangkan oleh Ryff (1995). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang negatif dan signifikan antara trait kepribadian neuroticism dan psychological well-being.

This research was conducted to find the relationship between personality trait neuroticism and psychological well-being among senior college students of Universitas Indonesia. This research used quantitative approach. Data was collected using questionaire and then prossessed using Pearson Product-Moment Correlation technique. The participants in this research were 111 students aged 20-25 years old. Instrument of trait neuroticism was taken from the NEO-FFI short version and instrument of psychological well-being is Ryff?s Scales of Psychological Well-Being that was developed by Ryff (1995). The result showed that there is negative and significant correlation between personality trait neuroticism and psychological well-being."
