"Semua pihak terkait dalam industri pariwisata perlu memiliki gambaran yang utuh dan terpadu dalam mengelola potensi sumber daya yang dimiliki pada masing-masing kabupaten di Pulau Sumbawa serta diperlukan arah dan strategi yang jelas untuk mengembangkan potensi-potensi baik budaya maupun alam yang terkait dengan kepariwisataan. "Bisnis pariwisata merupakan sektor mega industri yang memiliki kompleksitas sistem yang tersusun seperti jaring laba-laba. Salah satu contohnya, pariwisata tidak dapat dipisahkan dari aspek promosi. Hal ini pula yang mendorong negara-negara berkembang mulai menajamkan fokus dalam mempromosikan keunggulan pariwisata melalui slogan-slogan tertentu dan pameran pariwisata mancanegara. Promosi ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan arus masuk turis asing. Indonesia yang dianugerahi kekayaan alam dan budaya kini juga sudah aktif melakukan promosi pariwisata di tingkat internasional melalui pameran dan kerjasama pemerintah denga mitra domestik dan asing. Namun hal yang terpenting yang perlu diingat adalah promosi pariwisata juga tidak berdiri sendiri. Sistem pariwisata akan melibatkan elemen promosi yang bekerja bukan sekedar sebagai tahap untuk menawarkan sebanyak banyaknya berapa destinasi wisata tetapi juga dapat menganalisa faktor-faktor yaitu trend global dan perilaku konsumen yang nantinnya akan menentukan pilihan perjalanan dan permintaan destinasi. Promosi pariwisata akan semakin maksimal saat terdapat sinergis peran antara perwakilan RI di luar negeri. Promosi pariwisata yang komprehensif akan berdampak positif bagi peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat serta penguatan dan pelestarian komunitas dan budaya lokal."

"Cultural tourism issues is a problem related with the value, in other words there is sufficient value to the development of cultural tourism. Tourism and culture are different entities so that the inherent value of both is also different. In this paper will describe the value of what "should" is owned by tourism, and the value of what "should" is owned by culture, and also see the value of what "should be" held by cultural tourism. The principal value of tourism is the economic value, while other values are secondary value. Existing values in the culture can be increased or decreased increased if directed to enhance human dignity and decrease if oriented toward the values outside the culture itself Cultural tourism has value if it can increase the economic value and culture value. "

"Resource based views assume that firm resources are the source of sustained competitive advantages. This view can be implemented in the tuorism industry. According to this view there are four empirical indicators of the potential of firm resources to generate sustained competitive advantage namely, value, rareness, imitability and substitutability. Tourism industry around Danau Toba region possess a great number of resources with the characteristics of valuable, rare, unimitable and unsubstitutable. This article cited many research findings to elaborate understanding of firm resources as the source of sustained competitive advantage hopefully to extend the creativity of tourist operators in managing their business. It also hoped other stakeholders such researcher can do related research to help improving tourism practitions in improving the quality of tourism industry to contribute to the development of the nation."

"The objective of the research is to examine the significance influence of organizational culture and information technology to firm performance through innovation. Population of the research is hotel firms exist in North Sulawesi. The sample is 87 hotel firms which taken by stratified random sampling. Partial Least Square(PLS) is the analysis tool applied in this research. The results of the research show that organizational culture has significant influence to innovation, however, has no significant influence to firm performance. Information technology has significant influence to innovation, but has no significant influence to firm performance. Based on the research result then it is suggested to the management and hotel owners to revise the existing cultural values which are considered not relevant to business development, and used the innovation to improve the competitiveness of firm. In addition to that, employees as the operator of information technology should be improved their skill to be able to innovate with the technology itself. "
