"Pengadaan buku melakukan penyeleksian kebutuhan topik berdasarkan rekomendasi dosen, beberapa mahasiswa, maupun pustakawan sendiri. Sumber ini dianggap kurang menyeluruh, sehingga dibutuhkan sumber informasi lain, yaitu kata kunci pencarian buku. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia dengan menggunakan salah satu dari metode text mining, yaitu metode Latent Relation Discovery untuk menemukan nilai relation strength dengan memperhitungkan kemunculan bersamaan dan jarak antara kata. Hasil dari penelitian menemukan 126 pasangan kata atau topik kata kunci pencarian dan 56 topik yang sesuai dengan topik buku pinjaman dan 2 topik yang sesuai dengan topik buku yang akan diadakan, sehingga 58 topik kemudian diajukan. Jika dibandingkan dengan hanya melihat frekuensi kata, topik ini dapat memberikan informasi yang lebih spesifik. Namun jika dibandingkan dengan topik pada buku pinjaman dan daftar pengadaan buku, topik kata kunci menjadi terlalu umum dan terbatas pada kata yang muncul.

Books acquisition usually do the screening needs of topics based on lecturer recommendations, some students, and librarian themselves. These sources are considered less comprehensive, thus other sources of information is needed, that is keyword. This research was conducted at the University of Indonesia Library using one of the methods of text mining, the method of Latent Relation Discovery, to find relations strength value by considering the emergence of concurrence and distance between words.

The results of the study found 126 pairs of words or topic from keyword and 56 topics that fit with the topic of the borrowed book and the 2 topics that match the topics to the book that is recommended. Rather than simply considering frequency of the words, this topic can provide more specific information, but when it compared with the topics from the loan book and textbook acquisition list, these topics become too common and limited to words that appear."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan memahami tindakan pustakawan sebagai agen dalam pengadaan koleksi tahun 2013 di Universitas Wijaya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasilnya menunjukan pengadaan koleksi yang dilakukan melalui sistem pengadaan barang kurang mendukung pengembangan koleksi perpustakaan. Penyusunan rencana yang menyimpang dari kebutuhan nyata dosen dan mahasiswa serta kelemahan pustakawan menggunakan wewenangnya dalam pengadaan praktik yang timbul karena adanya agen pengadaan. Kesadaran agen, mengubah struktur menjadi lebih aktif melibatkan pihak fakultas dan proses pengadaan yang menekankan permasalahan pengadaan diselesaikan sesuai aturan meskipun hasilnya kurang mendukung pengembangan koleksi perpustakaan Wijaya dan kurang memenuhi kebutuhan koleksi fakultas. Konsekuensi tindakan agen dinilai gagal menyerap anggaran yang tersedia dan sistem pengadaan koleksi selanjutnya dikembalikan ke pola pengadaan di Fakultas masing-masing dengan pustakwan dan perencanaan yang lebih kompeten.

The aim of this study is to identify and understand the actions of librarian as agent in 2013 acquisition process at the University of Wijaya. This research was conducted by using qualitative method that acquisition process less supporting library collection developments. Preparation of plans that deviate from the real needs of faculty and students, and librarians use weaknesses in acquisition authority are form of practices a rising from the acquisition agent. Conscious of agent are changing the structure of acquisition becomes actively involve faculties and emphasizes the completion of the acquition by the rules even though the results are less supportive of the development of the collection and the collection does not meet the needs of the faculty. As consequences of the actions, agent considered to have failed to absorb the available budget and acquisition systems return to each facultiens with more competent librarian and planning."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang pengadaan koleksi bahan pustaka di Perpustakaan Umum Kota Depok. Pengadaan koleksi dilakukan secara rutin setiap tahun, namun jumlah koleksi yang tersedia masih kurang dari standar karena kebijakan pengadaan koleksi dipegang oleh pemerintah kota. Pengadaan koleksi tidak dapat dilepaskan dari pandangan pustakawan terhadap pengadaan koleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan metode studi kasus melalui wawancara dan obeservasi terahadap enam informan. Hasil dari Penelitian ini kebijakan perlu dibuat secara tertulis untuk pengadaan koleksi di Perpustakaan Umum Kota Depok. Pengadaan dilakukan melalui metode pembelian dan hibah, proses pengadaan melalui pembelian dimulai dari alokasi anggaran, seleksi bahan pustaka, proses pembelian, dan pemeriksaan koleksi. Dalam pengadaan melalui hibah, prosesnya dimulai dari penyerahan koleksi hibah, seleksi, dan pengolahan koleksi. Pustakawan di Perpustakaan Umum Kota Depok memiliki pandangan bahwa pengadaan koleksi yang dilakukan belum sesuai kebutuhan pemustaka. Kesimpulan Perpustakaan Umum Kota Depok mengandalkan pengalaman yang dimiliki pustakawan yang telah melakukan pengadaan koleksi bertahun-tahun. Pandangan pustakawan menjadi penghubung antara pengadaan kolesi perpustakaan yang ideal sebagaimana teori dengan tindakan yang seharusnya dilakukan.

This research discusses about the acquisition of library materials in Depok Public Library. Depok Publik Library do the acquisition every year routinely, but the number of collections available in Depok Public Library is still less than the standard because the acquisition policy is held by the goverment. The acquisition in library can not be separated from the librarian 39 s view on the acquisition it self. This research used qualitative approach and case study methods through interviews and observation of six informants. The results of this research is policy needs to be made for the acquisition of library materials in the Depok Public Library. the acquisition in Depok Public Library is carried out through purchase and grant methods, acquisition processes through purchases starting from budget allocation, library materials selection, purchase process, and collection inspection. In acquisition through grants, the process starts from the submission of grant collections, selection and processing of collections. Librarians at the Depok Public Library have the view that the acquisition of library materials collections is not yet according to the needs of the user. In conclusion The Depok Public Library relies on the experience of librarians who have procured years of the acquisitions. The librarian 39 s view is the link between the ideal acquisition of library materials as well as the theory that should be implemented. "

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penerapan kebijakan pengembangan koleksi di Perpustakaan Cinta Baca terhadap kegiatan storytelling dalam program Smart Reading. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Informan penelitian adalah pengelola dan peserta program Smart Reading di Perpustakaan Cinta Baca. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari wawancara dan observasi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perpustakaan Cinta Baca telah melakukan pengembangan koleksi berdasarkan empat komponen yang terdiri dari analisis kebutuhan pengguna, seleksi bahan pustaka, pengadaan, dan evaluasi. Penerapan kebijakan pengembangan koleksi terhadap program Smart Reading berdampak pada terciptanya kriteria koleksi yang digunakan dalam program. Selain itu hadirnya program Smart Reading juga berpengaruh terhadap pengadaan koleksi big book yang berfungsi untuk menunjang kegiatan storytelling dalam program.

This study aims to identify the application of collection development policies in the Cinta Baca Library to storytelling activities in the Smart Reading program. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research informants were the managers and participants of the Smart Reading program at Cinta Baca Library. Data collection methods used in this study consisted of interviews and observations.

The results of the study show that the Cinta Baca Library has developed collections based on four components consisting of user needs analysis, library material selection, procurement, and evaluation. The implementation of the collection development policy on the Smart Reading program has an impact on the creation of collection criteria used in the program. In addition, the presence of the Smart Reading program also affected the procurement of a big book collection that served to support storytelling activities in the program."

"Penelitian mengenai sentralisasi pengolahan bahan pustaka telah dilakukan di Perpustakaan Pusat Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD) Bandung, dari bulan April sampai dengan bulan September 1986. Tujuannya ialah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pelaksanaan sentralisasi pengolahan bahan pustaka yang telah dikerjakan selama ini di Perpustakaan Pusat UNPAD, apakah ada hambatannya dan bagaimana cara mengatasinya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara dengan semua pimpinan perpustakaan fakultas yang ada di lingkungan UNPAD. Hasilnya adalah Perpustakaan Pusat UNPAD sudah menyelenggarakan sentralisasi sebagian bagi tiga perpustakaan fakultas. Hambatan yang dihadapi ada dua perpustakaan fakultas yang tidak setuju dengan sentralisasi. Pedoman pengolahan bahan pustaka yang banyak dipakai : AACR1 untuk deskripsi bibliografis; DDC untuk klasifikasi; Sears List untuk tajuk subjek."

Pengadaan dalam penelitian ini meliputi kegiatan: analisis kebutuhan informasi pemustaka, seleksi, pemesanan dan kendala yang dihadapi selama proses pengadaan jurnal elektronik. Tujuan penelitian ini membantu pustakawan Universitas Indonesia untuk berefleksi tentang apa yang telah dilakukannya dalam pengadaan jurnal elektronik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus.
