"Pada sistem komunikasi bergerak, fading menyebabkan penurunan unjuk kerja. Unjuk kerja sistem dapat diperbaiki dengan menggunakan efek capture. Efek capture adalah dapat diterimanya suatu sinyal tanpa kesalahan pada receiver pada saat terdapat banyak sinyal yang dikirim secara simultan pada kanal. Dalam tesis ini dianalisa unjuk kerja metode akses slotted ALOHA-CDMA pada LEO dengan efek capture pada kanal ber-fading yang terdistribusi Rician. Unjuk kerja yang dianalisa meliputi probabilitas paket sukses, throughput dan delay akses kanal.
Dari hasil perhitungan terlihat bahwa makin besar w (track makin uniform), probabilitas paket sukses slotted ALOHA-CDMA makin tinggi, throughput semakin besar dan delay kanal slotted ALOHA-CDMA makin kecil. Makin besar faktor Rician K dan makin banyak jumlah kode Nc probabilitas paket sukses dan throughput kanal slotted ALOHA-CDMA makin besar. Makin kecil rasio capture probabilitas paket sukses dan throughput kanal slotted ALOHA CDMA makin besar. Makin besar faktor Rician dan makin banyak kode, delay kanal semakin kecil. Rasio capture makin besar, delay kanal semakin besar. Dengan diikutsertakan efek capture, throughput kanal slotted ALOHA CDMA lebih tinggi dan delay lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan tidak diikutsertakan efek capture.

In mobile communication, fading can lower performances of the system. We can improve the performances by using capture effect. Capture effect is a condition that a packet can capture the receiver even though the packet arriving at the receiver overlaps in time with other packet. This paper presents an analysis of performances of access method slotted ALOHA-CDMA in LEO satellite system which include the influence of both fading in Rider'? and capture effect. The performances of system are characterized by probability of packet success, channel throughput and delay.
It is shown from the results that whenever traffic non uniformity decreases, the probability of packet success and throughput increase and delay slotted ALOHACDMA decreases. The increasing of Rician parameter and number of code in the network cause the increasing in probability of packet success and throughput and the decreases in delay. If capture ratio decreases, probability of packet success and throughput of slotted ALOHA-CDMA increases. Whenever capture ratio increases slotted ALOHA-CDMA channel delay increases.

"This paper will analyze the performance of adaptive slotted ALOHA DS-CDM4 over multipath fading with capture eject to increase throughput transmit data when traffic condition in saturation. To divine intervention we use algorithm to control level change transmission rate use user based on trqffic condition. Adaptive slotted ALOHA DS-CDA/L4 technique is technique access can do adaptation level transmission rate based trams condition. Using protocol access channel adaptive slotted ALOHA DS-CDAM combine between slotted ALOHA and DS-CDMA in wireless communication system. This method may users to do access simultaneously and using efficient spectrum is providential from adaptive slotted ALOHA DS-CDMA Performance of S-ALOHA DS-CDMA decrease on channel fading. To handle throughput decrease because amount bit on transmit packet, so capture effect can use to handle this problem. So effective throughput depend capture probability and probability packet success. From that result throughput adaptive slotted ALOHA DS-CDMA with capture eject on multipath fading channel increase with decrease capture ratio length bit packet and different number of path."

"Packet reservation multiple access (PRMA) merupakan metode akses yang mampu mengakomodasi lebih banyak user dibandingkan dengan kanal yang ada. Untuk integrasi transmisi suara dan data, frame dalam PRMA dibagi menjadi 3 wilayah yaitu wilayah voice reservation region, voice contention region dan data region. Ada dua metode yang digunakan dalam pengaturan wilayah tersebut yaitu fixed dan movable boundary. Pada metode fixed boundary, batas antara suara dan data diatur secara tetap. Paket data tidak dapat menggunakan slot pada wilayah suara, walaupun slot tersebut sedang tidak digunakan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut maka diusulkan penggunaan metode movable boundary, dimana batas-batas tersebut dapat diatur secara dinamis dari frame ke frame. Paket data dapat menggunakan slot pada wilayah komunikasi suara yang sedang tidak digunakan.
Pada Tesis ini akan dianalisa unjuk kerja PRMA pada satelit LEO melalui simulasi komputer. Unjuk kerja yang dianalisa meliputi pengaruh permission probability (p) terhadap jumlah user aktif, efisiensi kanal pada integrasi komunikasi suara dan data, serta optimasi kanal dengan metode movable boundary. Packet reservation multiple access (PRMA) is one of the access methods that will be used for the third generation mobile system. PRMA can allows integrated data and voice services in a frame, and accommodates more users f compared with TDMA or FDMA systems. In PRMA operation for the integrated voice and data, the boundary between voice and data communications can be either fixed or movable. In the fixed boundary method, voice or data remains confine to its allocation all the time, while in the movable method, the boundary can change dynamically in every frame. Data packets are allowed to utilize any idle slots of the voice contention region, which will improve the channel optimization.
The performance of PRMA in the LEO satellite system is analyzed by using computer simulation. The performances are effect of permission probability to the number of optimum user, channel efficiency in the integrated voice and data, and channel optimization by applying movable boundary method. "Throughput S-ALOHA CDM4 using technique of diversities MRC differential detected with L branch antenna has been analyzed Desired signal will be intercepted then combined and also analyzed the influence of co channel interference. By using two different model of fading between desired signal and interference signal, throughput can he analyzed under channel condition of Nakagami/ Nakagami and Rician/Nakagami. MRC diversities and differential detection (DPSK) with L branch antenna are used on receiver to overcome multi path fading interference and to increase the system performance. From the result indicating the use of L branch antenna at receiver make .system throughput becomes better The higher the amount of interference signals the worse throughput system. The bigger Nakagami parameter m, and Rician factor, K, of the desired signal and interference signal the better the throughput."
