"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas jenis, makna, ranah sumber, dan ranah sasaran metafora. Data yang digunakan adalah kitab Ratapan pada Alkitab berbahasa Jerman versi Lutherbibel 2017. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memaparkan jenis dan makna metafora dalam kitab Ratapan berbahasa Jerman, mendeskripsikan ranah sumber yang terdapat dalam kitab Ratapan berbahasa Jerman. Data penelitian mencakup bab satu kitab Ratapan dari total keseluruhan lima bab yang di dalamnya terdapat tujuh metafora.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan melalui metode kepustakaan yang bersifat deskriptif-analitis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis metafora yang paling sering muncul dalam Kitab Ratapan berbahasa Jerman adalah personifikasi. Ranah sumber yang paling sering muncul adalah manusia. Ranah sasaran yang muncul adalah perasaan.

ABSTRACTThis study discusses type, meaning, source domain, and source target of metaphor. The data is from the book of Lamentations in the Lutherbibel version of the German Bible 2017. The purpose of this study is to explain the type and meaning of metaphor in the book of Lamentations in the German Bible and describe the source target contained in the book Lamentations. The research data includes chapter one of the book Lamentations from a total of five chapters in that there are seven metaphors.This research is a qualitative research conducted through descriptive-analytical literature. The result shows that the type of metaphor that most often appears in the book. The most commonly used source domain is human. The target domain that commonly used is feeling."

"This research studies about the use of prepositions in the Holy Bible of King James Version. The source of this research is the Holy Bible in the book of Mark chapter 4 and 8. The writer used the theory of Jayanthi Dakshina Murthy. A preposition is a word placed before a noun or pronoun to show its relation to some other word in the sentence. The research used qualitative research. After analyzing the book of Mark of the Holy Bible, the writer found that preposition of place or position is the most dominant in the book of Mark of the Holy Bible. The writer suggests students or readers to read English Holy Bible more frequently to improve their English and understanding the word of God. "
