"ABSTRAKLambang Kerajaan Belanda terbentuk bersamaan dengan bersatunya Belanda Utara dan Selatan menjadi satu kesatuan yaitu Kerajaan Belanda dengan Raja Willem I sebagai raja pertamanya. Simbol Singa Nassau dipilih dan diadopsi dari lambang Keluarga Orange-Nassau. Lambang Agung Kerajaan Belanda pernah mengalami sedikit perubahaan dari versi tahun 1815-1907. Penelitian ini membahas tentang proses pembentukan Lambang Agung Kerajaan Belanda. Tujuannya adalah untuk memaparkan pemaknaan simbol Lambang Agung Kerajaan Belanda dengan konteks sejarah Belanda. Penelitian ini menggunakan ancangan sejarah yang menginterpretasi makna berupa simbol. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan terjadinya beberapa kali perubahan atas lambang negara, simbol singa tetap digunakan dan menjadi simbol inti dalam Lambang Agung Kerajaan Belanda. Tiga singa rampant emas heraldik yaitu dua singa penjaga dan singa utama secara keseluruhan membentuk kepala singa yang mengenakan coronet dan pada bagian bawah terdapat pita yang berisi motto kerajaan ldquo;Je Maintiendrai rdquo; sebagai mulut singa.

ABSTRACTThe coat of arms of the Kingdom of the Netherlands was formed simultaneously with the unification of North and South Holland into a unity of the Kingdom of the Netherlands with King Willem I as its first king. The Nassau lion symbol was chosen and adopted from the Orange-Nassau Family emblem. The coat of arms of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has experienced slight changes from the 1815-1907 version. This research discusses about the process of forming the coat of arms of the Kingdom of the Netherlands The aim is to explain the history of the symbol of the coat of arms of the Kingdom of the Netherlands with the context of Dutch history. This research uses historical approach that interprets the meaning of symbols. The results of this research shows that with the occurrence of several changes to the coat of arms, the lion symbol remains used and become the core symbol in the in the the coat of arms of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Three heraldic gold rampant lion that is two guard lions and the main lion as a whole formed a lion head wearing coronets and at the bottom there is a ribbon containing the royal motto Je Maintiendrai as the mouth of the lion."
