"ABSTRAK
Deforestasi merupakan perubahan tutupan hutan menjadi non hutan. Perubahan tersebut menyebabkan berkurangnya cadangan karbon yang tersimpan pada hutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pola spasial deforestasi pada tahun 1996 ndash; 2017 serta mengestimasi stok karbon yang tersedia pada kondisi eksisting 2017 setelah hutan terdegradasi. Tutupan lahan didapatkan dari hasil analisis Citra Landsat 5 TM dan Landsat 8 OLI menggunakan metode klasifikasi supervised. Estimasi stok karbon dilakukan pada tutupan vegetasi hutan, kebun karet dan kebun sawit dengan melakukan pengukuran. Total deforestasi yang terjadi di Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara pada 1996 ndash; 2007 adalah sebesar 134.104,24 ha dan stok karbon hasil estimasi pada ketiga tutupan lahan tahun 2017 adalah sebesar 39,67 juta ton.

ABSTRAK
Deforestation is a forest landcover change into non forest. These changes lead to carbon stock decreasing. The aim of this study is not only to identify and analyze the spatial deforestation patterns from 1996 to 2017 but also to estimate the existing carbon stock 2017 . Landcover is obtained by analyzing Landsat 5 TM and 8 OLI using supervised classification method. Carbon stock estimating carried out on forest cover, rubber plantation cover and palm oil plantation cover. The total deforestation area in North Bengkulu since 1996 to 2017 is 134.104,24 hectare and carbon stock that estimated based on landcover in 2017 is 39,67 million tons."

"Perhutanan Sosial (PS) adalah salah satu program nasional yang dimaksudkan untuk menurunkan kemiskinan, mengelola hutan lestari dan meningkatkan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam mengelola hutan. Semua maksud PS tersebut harus berjalan seimbang sehingga pengelolaan hutan dapat berlangsung secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perubahan stok karbon dan menyusun model PS berkelanjutan di HKm Mandiri, Kabupaten Kulon Progo, DI Yogyakarta. Penentuan stok karbon dilakukan dengan mengukur Diameter Breast Height (DBH) yang dikorelasikan dengan penginderaan jauh berdasarkan Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) dan Forest Cover Density (FCD). Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan telah terjadi peningkatan tutupan hutan dan stok karbon sesudah berjalannya PS. Model PS berkelanjutan disusun berdasarkan tiga aspek yaitu lingkungan, ekonomi, dan sosial, yang diuji dengan metode Causal Mediation Analysis (CMA). Hasil uji ketiga aspek tersebut mempunyai korelasi yang signifikan pada kondisi sesudah PS. Korelasi tersebut membentuk interdependensi (saling kebergantungan), saling terkait dan terintegrasi secara kohesif, sehingga PS dikatakan sebagai socio-ecological system (SES) dengan arah korelasi aspek sosial dan ekonomi berbanding terbalik dengan aspek lingkungan.

Social Forestry (SF) is one of the national programs with the goals to reduce poverty, to manage forest condition sustainably, and to improve community participation in managing the forest. Those three objectives have not been achieved, resulted the forest managed unsustainably. This study aims to analyze changes in carbon stocks and develop sustainable SF model in the HKm Mandiri, Kulon Progo Regency, DI Yogyakarta. Estimating carbon stocks done by measuring Diameter Breast Height (DBH) which is correlated with remote sensing data through the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Forest Cover Density (FCD) shows an increase in the condition of forest cover and carbon stocks after the application of SF. The sustainable SF model is developed based on environment, economic and social aspects and is tested through Causal Mediation Analysis (CMA). Significant correlation was obtained among variables in the period after the implementation of SF. Those correlation forms interdependence, interrelated and cohesively integrated, so that SF is said to be a socio-ecological system (SES) and the correlation of social and economic aspects is inversely proportional to environmental aspects.

"Mangrove memiliki kemampuan menyimpan dan menyerap karbon dalam biomassa hidup maupun mati, dan sedimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya produktivitas serasah, besar serasah yang dilepas ke perairan, laju dekomposisi serasah, potensi karbon yang dapat diserap dan disimpan oleh hutan mangrove Pulau Rambut. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan September-November 2020 dan Maret-Juni 2021. Metode pengambilan data terkait komposisi vegetasi dan stok karbon menggunakan purposive sampling dan dihitung dengan persamaan allometrik. Produktivitas serasah dan laju dekomposisi diukur selama 42 hari dengan pengamatan setiap 2 minggu sekali. Serasah yang dilepas ke perairan diukur dengan menyaring serasah ketika air laut surut. Karbon pada sedimen diukur dengan mengambil sedimen pada kedalaman 0—30 cm. Vegetasi pohon dan pancang didominasi oleh Rhizophora mucronata dan semai oleh Excoecaria agallocha. Stok karbon dan serapan karbon pada hutan mangrove Pulau Rambut sebesar 278,60 ton/ha dan 951,41 ton/ha. Stok karbon pada sedimen sebesar 19,36 ton/ha. Besarnya produktivitas serasah dan potensi karbonnya sebesar 2,741 g/m2/hari dan 9,72 g/m2/hari. Laju dekomposisi paling cepat diraih oleh Rhizophora mucronata yaitu 0,191 g/hari. Besar serasah yang dilepas ke perairan adalah 21,27 g/m3/hari dengan kandungan karbon sebesar 50,82%.

Mangroves have the ability to store and absorb carbon in living and dead biomass, and sediments. This study aims to determine the amount of litter productivity, the amount of litter released into the waters, the rate of litter decomposition, the potential for carbon that can be absorbed and stored by the Rambut Island mangrove forest. The research was conducted from September-November 2020 and March-June 2021. Methods of collecting data related to the composition of vegetation and carbon stock using purposive sampling and calculated by allometric equations. Litter productivity and decomposition rate were measured for 42 days with observations every 2 weeks. Litter released into the waters is measured by filtering litter when the sea water recedes. Carbon in the sediment was measured by taking sediment at a depth of 0-30 cm. Tree vegetation and saplings were dominated by Rhizophora mucronata and seedlings by Excoecaria agallocha. Carbon stock and carbon sequestration in Rambut Island mangrove forest were 278.60 tons/ha and 951.41 tons/ha, respectively. Carbon stock in sediment is 19.36 ton/ha. The amount of litter productivity and carbon potential are 2.741 g/m2/day and 9.72 g/m2/day. The fastest decomposition rate was achieved by Rhizophora mucronata, which was 0.191 g/day. The amount of litter released into the waters is 21.27 g/m3/day with a carbon content of 50.82%."
