PT. XYZ, a multinational oil company that operated in Indonesia, is obligatory on using Production Sharing Contract (PSC) Agreement with the Government of Indonesia (represented by SKK Migas) as a basis for operating in Indonesia. All oil and gas field development costs (investment and operation) by which have received the approval of SKK Migas, can be charged as cost recovery in accordance with the PSC agreement. Inventory is one of the largest cash investments in businesses therefore the decision on new investments in inventory should be considered carefully. Managing this investment is the key to achieve successes. Inventory that is inactive and siphoning cash resources should be eliminated by changing the wasted cash back into a productive resource. The research was conducted at PT. XYZ on the basis of the company inventory level that increasing each year and high Surplus Ratio. The methodology used in this research is a descriptive qualitative study which supported by actual data from PT. XYZ and interview with expert in inventory and management of PT. XYZ. The results of the research are proposing strategy to be implemented by PT. XYZ to improve the effectiveness of PT. XYZ inventory management process."

"Tesis ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengelolaan persediaan di UMKM X dan menjabarkan fakta-fakta terkait fungsi pengelolaan pada proses perencanaan, penerimaan, penyimpanan, pendistribusian dan pencatatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dengan metode penelitian berupa studi literatur, obervasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat kelemahan dalam pengelolaan persediaan di UMKM X. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan perbaikan pengelolaan persediaan pada tahap perencanaan berupa analisis klasifikasi ABC. Analisis klasifikasi ABC (Always, Better, Control) merupakan metode Pareto yang dapat digunakan untuk menentukan prioritas penanganan tanaman hias sehingga UMKM X dapat berfokus pada jenis tanaman yang kritis. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan pengelolaan persediaan pada proses selanjutnya dengan menggunakan metode peramalan Moving-Average, SKU, safety stock dan reorder point. Hasil penelitian belum tentu dapat diterapkan pada perusahaan lain dengan pola permintaan maupun pada perusahaan dengan industri berbeda. Selain itu, keterbatasan penelitian ini adalah sampel yang digunakan hanya persediaan tanaman hias sebagai barang dagang.

This thesis aimed to analyze inventory management in MSME X and describe facts related to inventory management in the planning, receiving, storage, distribution and recording processes. This research uses a case study approach with research methods in the form of literature studies, observations and interviews. The results show that there are still weaknesses in inventory management in MSME X. Therefore, this study recommends improving inventory management at the planning stage in the form of ABC classification analysis. ABC (Always, Better, Control) classification analysis is a Pareto method that can be used to determine priorities for handling ornamental plants so that MSME X can focus on critical plant species. This study also recommends inventory management in the next process using the Moving-Average, SKU, safety stock and reorder point forecasting methods. The research results may not necessarily be applied to other companies with demand patterns or to companies with different industries. In addition, the limitation of this study is that the sample used is only supplies of ornamental plants as merchandise."

"Manajemen inventaris pada suatu perusahaan merupakan hal yang penting untuk dilakukan oleh sebuah organisasi atau perusahaan yang kegiatan bisnisnya berhubungan dengan aktivitas penambangan sumber daya alam untuk mengatur perencanaan stok barang dan melaporkan penggunaan barangnya. PT. Palu Batu Madu (PBMadu) merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang melakukan manajemen pencatatan data inventaris. Manajemen inventaris yang dilakukan oleh PBMadu adalah mencangkup pengelolaan stok barang atau sparepart yang akan digunakan untuk pemeliharaan alat berat serta pelaporan penggunaan sparepart yang disimpan pada berkas di dalam satu komputer. Namun pada pelaksanaannya, PBMadu mengalami kesulitan ketika melakukan pencatatan yaitu para staf harus melakukan unggah dan unduh dokumen pencatatan inventaris berulang kali setiap ingin memperbarui data inventaris karena data belum terpusat. PBMadu menerapkan prosedur pencatatan biaya penggunaan sparepart dengan metode First In First Out (FIFO) yang dalam pelaksanaannya seringkali mengalami kendala yaitu para staf tidak dapat memastikan urutan barang yang masuk ke inventaris secara pasti. Perusahaan PBMadu menilai bahwa proses pencatatan inventaris saat ini kurang efisien dan akurat sehingga menginginkan sebuah sistem manajemen inventaris berbasis website yang dapat menyimpan data secara online dan terpusat. Sistem manajemen inventaris tersebut bernama PBMadu Inventaris. Penelitian dan pengembangan sistem PBMadu Inventaris diperlukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akan sistem manajemen inventaris yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Alur penelitiannya diawali dengan studi literatur mengenai masalah yang dialami perusahaan, requirement gathering dengan melakukan wawancara dengan pengguna, Unified Modeling Language (UML) dengan membuat Use Case Diagram (UCD) dan model relasional, pengembangan sistem dengan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD), dan diakhiri dengan pengujian sistem dengan User Acceptance Test (UAT), Usability Testing (UT), dan System Usability Scale (SUS). Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem layak untuk digunakan dan sudah mendapat persetujuan dari pihak perusahaan PBMadu.

Inventory management in a company is an important thing to be done by an organization or company whose business activities are related to natural resource mining activities to manage inventory planning and report the use of goods. PT. Palu Batu Madu (PBMadu) is a company that manages inventory data records. Inventory management carried out by PBMadu includes managing the stock of goods or spare parts that will be used for heavy equipment maintenance as well as reporting on the use of spare parts which are stored in a file on a single computer. However, in practice, PBMadu experienced difficulties when recording the inventory, which is the staff had to upload and download inventory documents repeatedly every time they wanted to update inventory data because the data was not yet centralized. PBMadu applies the procedure for recording the cost of using spare parts using the First In First Out (FIFO) method which in practice often experiences problems, which is staff cannot ensure the exact order of items that enter the inventory. The PBMadu company considers that the current inventory recording process is inefficient and inaccurate, so they want a website-based inventory management system that can store data online and centrally. The inventory management system is called PBMadu Inventaris. Research and development of the PBMadu Inventory system is needed to meet the need for an inventory management system that suits user needs. The research flow begins with a literature study on the problems experienced by companies, requirement gathering by conducting interviews with users, Unified Modeling Language (UML) by making Use Case Diagrams (UCD) and relational model, system development using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, and ends with system testing with the User Acceptance Test (UAT), Usability Testing (UT), and the System Usability Scale (SUS). The evaluation results show that the system is feasible to use and has been approved by the PBMadu company."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang persediaan barang PT XYZ yang bergerak di industry otomotif di Indonesia yang berlokasi di Bekasi. Penelitian ini disusun dengan rancangan studi kasus untuk menerapkan model deterministic berdasarkan penelitian Samak-Kulkarni Rajhans 2013 yaitu Economic Order Quantity EOQ , Periodic Order Quantity POQ , Least Unit Cost LUC , Least Total Cost LTC , Least Period Cost LPC , dan Wagner-Whitin Algorithm W-W . Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan model yang dapat memberikan total biaya penyimpanan paling minimal dibandingkan dengan total biaya penyimpanan yang menggunakan kebijakan perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa model dengan nilai minimal dibandingkan dengan kebijakan perusahaan adalah model Wagner-Whitin Algorithm W-W.

This research discuss the the inventory of spare part products in PT XYZ located in Bekasi. This research was conducted with case study design to apply deterministic models using the research steps done by Samak Kulkarni Rajhans 2013 . The deterministic models that was used are Economic Order Quantity EOQ , Periodic Order Quantity POQ , Least Unit Cost LUC , Least Total Cost LTC , Least Period Cost LPC , and Wagner Whitin Algorithm W W . The purpose of this study was to find the minimum inventory total cost between the deterministic models and inventory total cost calculated by company rsquo s policy. The result of the research find that Wagner Whitin Algorithm W W show the minimum total cost compared to company rsquo s policy."
