"Penelitian ini membahas proses pembentukan identitas homoseksual dalam lagu Petit Pédé yang diciptakan dan dinyanyikan oleh Renaud Séchan. Petit Pédé ini merupakan salah satu lagu dalam albumnya yang berjudul Boucan D?enfer yang rilis pada tahun 2002.Lagu ini menceritakan kisah hidup seorang anak umur 15 tahun yang menyadari bahwa iatertarik dengan sesama jenis kelaminnya. Renaud tidak memaksudkan lagu ini untuk menyudutkan kaum homoseksual. Akan tetapi, lagu ini dimaksudkan untukmenceritakan kisah hidup yang dilalui oleh seorang homoseksual dengan segala perlakuan diskriminasi yang sering diterimanya dari orang-orang di sekeliling, bahkan keluarganya sendiri. Setiap baitnya memperlihatkan proses yang dilalui seorang homoseksual untuk menciptakan identitas baru dalam dirinya. Proses konstruksi identitas homoseksual akan dipaparkan melalui lirik lagu ini.
This essay studies the consctruction of identity homosexual in Petit Pédé that composed and sung by French singer named Reanaud Séchan. Petit Pédé is one of the songs in his album that release in 2002, entitled Boucan d?Enfer. This song talks about the life of a boy aged 15 years who, for the first time, realizes that he is attracted to others with same-sex. With this song, Renaud does not mean to marginalize all homosexuals. However, this song wants to explain life of a homosexual with all the discrimination that homosexuals often receive from people around him, even from his own family. Each stanza shows the process of construction of identity which a homosexual can create his new identity. The process will be presented through the explanation of the lyrics."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami perkembangan identitas homoseksual dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan untuk melela pada laki-laki homoseksual di Indonesia. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif, dilakukan wawancara terhadap laki-laki homoseksual dewasa muda (usia 23-29 tahun), dengan menggunakan panduan berdasarkan Model Formasi Identitas Homoseksual oleh Cass (1979). Dalam analisis tematik terhadap wawancara delapan partisipan, ditemukan bahwa perkembangan identitas homoseksual dimulai ketika seluruh responden merasakan ketertarikan terhadap sesama jenis sejak kecil. Perkembangan identitas melewati fase penolakan di suatu tahap dalam hidup individu homoseksual sebelum akhirnya bisa diterima secara penuh. Penerimaan diri dan keputusan untuk melela di tengah perkembangan identitas memiliki arah hubungan yang kompleks dan tidak pasti terkait mana yang lebih dulu antara penerimaan atau melela identitas. Dalam penelitian ini juga ditemukan bahwa keputusan untuk melela tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor perkembangan identitas yang koheren dan sehat, namun juga faktor-faktor situasional seperti dukungan orang-orang terdekat dan sikap masyarakat secara umum terhadap eksistensi kelompok seksual non-normatif, risiko akan diskriminasi dan persekusi, serta sumber daya individu homoseksual untuk bisa berdiri sendiri ketika risiko yang dipersepsikan terjadi saat mereka memtusukan untuk melela.
This research seeks to understand how homosexual identity develops and what factors influence the decisions of gay men in Indonesia to come out. Using qualitative research methods, interviews were conducted with young adult gay men (aged 23-29) following Cass's (1979) Model of Homosexual Identity Formation. By analyzing the interviews of eight participants, it was found that the journey of homosexual identity begins when individuals feel attracted to the same sex from a young age. The process involves overcoming denial and eventually accepting themselves fully. The relationship between self-acceptance and coming out is complex, as it is unclear which comes first. The decision to come out is influenced not only by personal development but also by situational factors such as support from significant others, societal attitudes towards non-normative sexual orientations, the fear of discrimination and persecution, and the personal resources needed to face these challenges when deciding to come out."

"Tesis ini membahas mengenai kekerasan simbolik heteroseksual terhadap homoseksual yang terjadi di lingkungan kerja. Penelitian dilakukan melalui metode studi kasus dengan paradigma critical social science (CSS). Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini elaborasi dari teori modal sosial Piere Bourdieu dan teori queer Judith Butler. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan kekerasan simbolik terhadap homoseksual terjadi melalui reproduksi doxa heteronormativity dan legisitimasi doxa tersebut dalam habitus, kapital dan field untuk meneguhkan posisi kelompok dominan. Ketidaksesuaian antara gender pervormity dengan heteroseksual matriks yang berlaku di masyarakat menjadi pemicu dari kekerasan simbolik terhadap homoseksual.
This thesis discusses about symbolic violence occured in workplace from heterosexual toward homosexual. This research is done by study case through critical social science paradigm. This study elaborates a social capital theory by Pierre Bourdieu and queer theory from Judith Butler. The results of this study indicate that symbolic violence happened through the reproduction of heteronormativity doxa and legitimation doxa inside of habitus, capital and field to strengthen the domination of heterosexual group. Discrepancy between gender pervormity with heterosexual matrix becomes the symbolic triggers of violence towards homosexual."

ABSTRAKArtikel ini membahas mengenai gambaran homoseksualitas di Tunisia yang direpresentasikan dalam film Le Fil sebagai homoseksual yang tertutup dan homoseksual yang terbuka. Selain itu, dibahas juga tentang stereotip yang dilatarbelakangi oleh agama dan masyarakat homofobia yang cenderung negatif. Analisis di dalam artikel ini menggunakan teori representasi dan kajian sinema. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa representasi homoseksual tertutup lebih dominan dibandingkan dengan representasi homoseksual terbuka.
ABSTRACTThis article discusses the depiction of homosexuality in Tunisia which is represented in the film Le Fil as the closet and the open homosexuals. Moreover, this article also discusses about stereotype which is motivated by religion and homophobia society that tends to be negative. The analysis in this article based on the theory of representation and cinematographic approach. Results of the analysis showed that the representation of the closet homosexuals are more dominant than the representation of the open homosexuals."

"Pada penelitian ini, penulis menganalisis dua lagu Jerman, yaitu “Vincent” oleh Sarah Connor dan “Queere Tiere” oleh Sookee. Kedua lagu ini dipilih karena dianggap sebagai platform untuk merepresentasikan komunitas homoseksual, yang dapat dibuktikan dari performativitas gender pada kedua lirik lagu. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif untuk menganalisis makna kedua lirik lagu. Selain itu, penulis menggunakan Queer theory oleh Judith Butler (1990), didukung dengan konsep gender performativity untuk menjabarkan performativitas gender yang ditampilkan pada kedua lirik lagu tersebut dan menunjukan bagaimana performativitas pada kedua lagu tersebut dapat dikatakan sebagai performativitas homoseksual. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedua lagu tersebut menunjukkan adanya gender performativity dan performativitas yang ditampilkan pada kedua lirik tersebut membentuk identitas gender seorang homoseksual.
In this research, writers analyzed two German songs "Vincent" by Sarah Connor and "Queere Tiere" by Sookee. These two songs were chosen because they are considered as platforms to represent the homosexual community, which can be proven from the gender performativity in both song lyrics. In this research, the author uses descriptive analysis method to analyze the meaning of both song lyrics. In addition, writers use Queer theory by Judith Butler (1990), supported by the concept of gender performativity to describe the gender performativity displayed in both song lyrics and show how the performativity in both songs can be said to be homosexual performativity. From this research, it can be concluded that both songs show the existence of gender performativity and the performativity displayed in both lyrics forms the gender identity of a homosexual."

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana media dapat mempengaruhi atau mengubah pandangan masyarakat terhadap homoseksual. Media yang digunakan dalam studi kasus ini adalah film. Peneliti menggunakan film berjudul "Arisan" yang disutradarai oleh Nia Dinata sebagai bahan studi kasusnya untuk melihat bagaimana pandangan masyarakat tentang homoseksualitas sebelum dan setelah menonton film tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dengan empat responden dari berbagai latar belakang, yang sudah menyaksikan film "Arisan" sebelum wawancara. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa masyarakat yang sebelumnya memiliki pandangan negatif terhadap homoseksualitas masih akan memiliki pandangan itu, tetapi akan membuat beberapa perubahan dalam cara mereka memperlakukan homoseksual. Selain itu, peneliti juga membuat kesimpulan bahwa masyarakat yang sebelumnya memegang pemikiran netral atau positif tentang homoseksualitas akan memperlakukan penyuka sesama jenis dengan lebih baik dari sebelumnya.

The method that is utilized in this research is in-depth interview with four respondents of varied backgrounds, who have watched the movie prior to the interview. This study finds that people who previously hold negative believe of homosexuality will still hold on into that value, but will make some changes in how they treat them. "Makalah ini meneliti tentang representasi remaja homoseksual dalam novel Call Me By Your Name karya Andre Aciman, dan bagaimana beberapa kriteria khusus dalam pengembangan karakter remaja homoseksual tersebut terlupakan. Meskipun Aciman telah berhasil dengan indah menggambarkan keadaan jatuh cinta, dengan menggunakan diksi yang artistik, Aciman masih belum berhasil untuk memasukkan beberapa hal penting dalam karakterisasi tokoh remaja homoseksual dalam novel Call Me By Your Name. Selain itu, sebagai seorang anak laki-laki yang menyukai seorang pria untuk pertama kalinya, penggambaran Elio, nama tokoh remaja homoseksual dalam novel, seharusnya dijelaskan lebih detail layaknya homoseksual pada umumnya yang mengalami situasi yang sama seperti Elio.
Isi makalah ini lebih kurangnya akan membahas karakterisasi Elio sebagai remaja homoseksual yang baru beranjak dewasa. Hal lain yang yang akan dibahas adalah tiga poin penting yang hilang dalam penggambaran karakter Elio. Penemuan tiga hal tersebut akan diuraikan dan dianalisis berdasarkan perspektif teori orientasi seksual yang dikombinasikan berdasarkan penelitian-penelitian yang sudah ada sebelumnya mengenai representasi remaja homoseksual. Pada akhirnya, representasi remaja homoseksual yang akurat sangatlah penting karena hal tersebut akan dihubungkan dengan nilai-nilai yang dimiliki pembaca novel tersebut.
This paper scrutinizes a representation of homosexual on emerging adulthood in Andre Aciman’s Call Me By Your Name, and how certain criterias to develop the character have been missed. Although Aciman successfully wrote a beautiful act of falling in love by using sophisticated words, Aciman still failed to show some important things for the characterization of a homosexual on emerging adulthood. Moreover, as a homosexual boy who liked a man for the first time, the depiction of Elio—the name of the homosexual boy, is supposed to be well-described as mostly other homosexuals on his age/situation. The content of this paper will likely to examine the characterization of Elio as a coming of age homosexual. The next thing that will be discussed is about the three major things that Aciman failed to depict on Elio’s character on his situation, in which the findings will be elaborated by sexual orientation perspectives and some researches about homosexuals on emerging adulthood. At last, a correct representation of homosexuals on emerging adulthood is really significant since it also relates to the readers’ values and experiences."

ABSTRACTDiskursus mengenai seksualitas dan gender telah menjadi hal yang begitu sensitif dan kontroversial di Indonesia. Terlebih lagi mengenai eksistensi individu dengan orientasi seksual yang berbeda. Prasangka atau sikap negatif yang diarahkan kepada individu yang diidentifikasi dengan orientasi seksual non-heteroseksual dalam ruang lingkup ilmu psikologi disebut sebagai prasangka seksual. Berbagai penelitian telah berusaha mengungkap variabel yang memiliki hubungan dengan prasangka seksual. Secara konsisten, kontak interpersonal dan religiositas muncul dalam penelitian-penelitian tersebut. Berangkat dari berbagai penemuan tersebut, penelitian ini berusaha untuk menginvestigasi hubungan kausalitas antara kontak interpersonal terhadap prasangka seksual dengan menggunakan desain eksperimental Solomon four group design. Melibatkan 28 laki-laki yang berada dalam rentang usia dewasa muda, penelitian ini berusaha mengerucutkan populasi penelitian pada laki-laki dalam rentang umur 15 ndash; 35 tahun. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini diolah dengan metode analisis statistik Factorial Analysis of Covariate dan melibatkan religiositas sebagai kovariat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh kontak interpersonal terhadap prasangka seksual, dengan mengontrol pengaruh religiositas terhadap prasangka seksual. Namun, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari religiositas terhadap prasangka seksual yang dimiliki oleh individu. Pembahasan lebih lanjut mengenai temuan dalam penelitian ini akan didiskusikan secara mendetail di dalam naskah.
ABSTRACTDiscourses on sexuality and gender have been a highly controversial and sensitive subject in Indonesia. Moreover, with the existence of individuals possessing dissimilar sexual orientations. Prejudice or negative attitudes directed to individuals with non heterosexual orientations in the scope of psychology is also known as sexual prejudice. The multitudinous nature of studies reveals variables interconnecting with the phenomenon of sexual prejudice. Interpersonal contacts and religiosity persistently arise from those particular studies. By deriving from those specific researches, this study contrives to investigate the causal relationship between interpersonal contacts towards sexual prejudice by utilizing the lsquo Solomon four group design rsquo experimental design. This study comprises of 28 young adult male specifically focusing on the traversing age group of 15 to 35. Data obtained from this study are then processed using the statistical analysis method of Factorial Analysis of Covariate whilst religiosity is allocated as the covariate. By controlling the element of religiosity as an influence to sexual prejudice, the outcome of the analysis exhibits no effect of interpersonal contact towards sexual prejudice. However, religiosity plays a key role in the individual rsquo s sexual prejudice. This study will emphasize on the aforementioned subject which will be onwardly explored in great detail. "

"Film-film bertemakan LGBTQ + semakin populer di kalangan warga Amerika, dan karakter-karakter LGBTQ + semakin sering diperlihatkan di film-film Hollywood sejak abad ke-21. Media umum Amerika sedang meningkatkan keragaman dalam representasi masyarakat, termasuk meningkatkan visibilitas cerita dan karakter LGBTQ +. Salah satunya adalah Call Me by Your Name (2017). Film ini telah memenangkan banyak penghargaan dan diterima dengan baik tidak hanya oleh penonton queer tapi juga penonton heteroseksual. Namun, terdapat masalah dalam penggambaran identitas dan hubungan homoseksual dalam Call Me by Your Name karena adanya unsur heteronormativitas. Penelitian ini disusun dalam bentuk studi pustaka menggunakan analisis tekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap heteronormativitas dalam karakterisasi, plot, dan sinematografi Call Me by Your Name, serta menjelaskan bagaimana penggambaran homoseksualitas sebagai identitas seksual dan hubungan homoseksual dalam film ini berkontribusi pada kesuksesannya. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa Call Me by Your Name gagal menampilkan representasi homoseksualitas secara positif karena melanggengkan heteroseksisme dan memberikan gratifikasi kepada penonton heteroseksual.
LGBTQ+ movies have gained more popularity among American audience, and LGBTQ+ characters have been more visible in Hollywood movies since the twenty-first century. American mainstream media has been working on the diversity of representations, including bringing up the visibility of LGBTQ+ narratives and characters. One of them is Call Me by Your Name (2017). The movie has won numerous awards and been well received by not only queer but also heterosexual audience. However, its portrayals of homosexual identity and relationship are problematic due to the presence of heteronormativity. This research is written in a form of library research using textual analysis. This research aims to find heteronormativity in its characterization, plot, and cinematography, and to elaborate how its heterosexist portrayals of homosexuality as a sexual identity and a homosexual relationship contribute to its success. The findings show that Call Me by Your Name fails to offer a positive representation of homosexuality because it perpetuates heterosexism and gratifies heterosexual audience."
