"Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian madu PS (Pollen Substitute) terhadap konsentrasi trigliserida plasma darah tikus (Rattus norvegicus L.) jantan galur Sprague-Dawley. Dua puluh empat tikus jantan dibagi dalam empat kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol normal (KK1) yang tidak diberi diet tinggi lemak, kelompok kontrol perlakuan (KK2) yang diberi diet tinggi lemak, larutan propylthiouracil (PTU) 0,01%, dan akuades, dan dua kelompok perlakuan (KP1 dan KP2) yang diberi diet tinggi lemak, larutan propylthiouracil (PTU) 0,01%, dan madu PS dengan dosis masing-masing 10% dan 20% b/v. Bahan uji diberikan setiap hari selama 14 hari berturut-turut.
Hasil uji anava satu faktor (P < 0,05) menunjukkan adanya pengaruh nyata pemberian madu PS terhadap konsentrasi trigliserida akhir pada semua kelompok perlakuan. Hasil uji LSD (P<0,05) menunjukkan penurunan konsentrasi trigliserida pada seluruh kelompok perlakuan (KP1 dan KP2). Konsentrasi trigliserida pada kelompok perlakuan yang mendekati kelompok kontrol normal dicapai oleh kelompok perlakuan dengan dosis 20% b/v.

The research was done to observe the effect of honey PS (Pollen Substitute) on the concentration of triglyceride in blood plasma of male rat (Rattus norvegicus L.) Sprague-Dawley strain. Twenty-five male rats were divided into four groups, consisting of normal control group (KK1) that was not given a high fat diet, treatment control group (KK2) that was given a high fat diet, 0.01% propylthiouracil (PTU) solution, and two treatment groups (KP1 and KP2) that were given a high fat diet, 0.01% propylthiouracil (PTU) solution, and honey PS with dose of 10% and 20% w/v, respectively, for 14 consecutive days.
The result of anova test (P < 0.05) showed significant effect of honey PS toward triglyceride concentration in all treatment groups. LSD test (P < 0,05) showed that the decreased blood total cholesterol concentration occurred at both treatment groups (KP1 and KP2). The concentration of triglyceride in the treatment group that approached the normal control group achieved by the treatment group with dose of 20% w/v.

"Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian fortifikan NaFeEDTA dalam susu kedelai terhadap kadar zat besi plasma darah tikus (Rattus norvegicus L.) jantan galur Sprague-Dawley. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Sebanyak 25 ekor tikus putih jantan yang dibagi ke dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan, yaitu KK 1 yang diberi pakan dan minum standar; KK 2 yang diberi pakan minum standar dan susu kedelai tanpa fortifikan; dan KP 1, 2, dan 3 yang diberi pakan minum standar dan susu kedelai dengan fortifikan NaFeEDTA berturut-turut dosis 1,35 mg Fe/ kgBB, 2,7 mg Fe/ kg BB, dan 5,4 mg Fe/ kgBB selama 21 hari berturut-turut. Pengambilan darah dilakukan pada hari ke-0 dan setelah perlakuan pada hari ke-21. Darah dipreparasi menggunakan destruksi basah lalu ditentukan kadar zat besinya dengan AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer). Hasil uji ANAVA satu arah dan uji LSD (P < 0,05) menunjukkan perbedaan nyata pemberian fortifikan NaFeEDTA dalam susu kedelai terhadap kadar zat besi antar kelompok perlakuan. Peningkatan kadar zat besi tertinggi terjadi pada KP 3 di hari ke-21 yaitu 31,74% terhadap KK 1; dan 23,52% terhadap KK 2.

The effect of NaFeEDTA fortificant addition to soymilk on plasma iron concentration of male Sprague-Dawley rats (Rattus norvegicus L.) had been studied. By using Complete Random Design (CRD), twenty five rats were divided into five groups. Normal control group (KK 1) which was administered with standard feeding and drinking only. Treatment control group (KK 2) which was administered with extra soymilk non fortificant, and three treatment groups which were administered with extra soymilk added with NaFeEDTA fortificant 1.35 mg Fe/kgbw (KP 1); 2.7 mg Fe/kgbw (KP 2); and 5.4 mg Fe/kgbw (KP 3). All of the five groups were treated for 21 days consecutively. The plasma iron concentration was measured by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). One way ANOVA test and post hoc LSD test (P < 0.05) showed significant effect of NaFeEDTA fortificant addition to soymilk on plasma iron concentration in all treatment groups. The highest increase of plasma iron concentration was detected on KP 3 at t21 which is 31.74% to KK 1; and 23.52% to KK 2."

"ABSTRAK
Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian
fortifikan Fe Fumarat dalam tepung tempe terhadap kadar zat besi plasma darah
tikus (Rattus norvegicus L.) jantan galur Sprague-Dawley. Metode penelitian
menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri atas 25 ekor tikus putih
jantan yang dibagi ke dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan, yaitu KK 1 yang diberi
larutan CMC 0,5%; KK 2 yang diberi CMC 0,5% dan suspensi tepung tempe
tanpa fortifikan; dan KP 1, 2, dan 3 yang diberi CMC 0,5% dan tepung tempe
dengan fortifikan Fe Fumarat dosis 1,35 mg Fe/ kgBB, 2,7 mg Fe/ kg BB, dan 5,4
mg Fe/ kgBB selama 21 hari berturut-turut. Pengambilan darah dilakukan pada
hari ke-0 dan setelah pencekokan hari ke-21. Darah ditentukan kadar zat besinya
dengan AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer). Hasil uji Anava satu arah
(P < 0,05) menunjukkan perbedaan nyata pemberian fortifikan Fe Fumarat dalam
tepung tempe terhadap kadar zat besi antar kelompok perlakuan. Peningkatan
kadar zat besi tertinggi terjadi pada KP 1 yaitu sebesar 13,21% terhadap KK 1 dan
11,48% terhadap KK 2.

ABSTRACT
The effect of Fe fumarate fortificant addition in tempeh flour on plasma iron
concentration of male Sprague-Dawley rats (Rattus norvegicus L.) had been
studied. By using Complete Random Design (CRD), twenty five rats were divided
into five groups, consist of normal control group (KK 1) which was administered

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian fortifikan
NaFeEDTA dalam tepung tempe dan susu kedelai terhadap kadar natrium plasma
darah tikus (Rattus norvegicus L.) jantan galur Sprague Dawley. Sebanyak 25
ekor tikus dibagi ke dalam 5 kelompok: kelompok kontrol 1 (KK1) yang diberi
CMC 0,5%, kelompok kontrol 2 (KK2) yang diberi tepung tempe atau susu
kedelai, dan tiga kelompok perlakuan (KP1, KP2, KP3) yang diberi tepung tempe
atau susu kedelai dengan fortifikan NaFeEDTA dosis 1,35 mg Fe/ kgBB; 2,7 mg
Fe/ kgBB; 5,4 mg Fe/ kgBB selama 21 hari berturut-turut. Penentuan kadar
natrium plasma dengan alat AES (Atomic Emission Spectroscopy). Hasil uji
Anava satu arah (P > 0,05) menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh nyata pemberian
fortifikan NaFeEDTA dalam tepung tempe dan susu kedelai terhadap kadar
natrium antar kelompok perlakuan. Kadar natrium plasma pada T21 dengan bahan
uji tepung tempe dan susu kedelai tetap berada pada rentang normal antara 0,456
mg/ml -- 0,586 mg/ml.

ABSTRACT
The effect of NaFeEDTA fortificant inserted in tempeh flour and soy milk intake
on plasma sodium concentration in male Sprague-Dawley rats (Rattus norvegicus
L.) had been studied. Twenty five rats were divided into five groups: control
group 1 (KK1) was administered with CMC 0.5%, control group 2 (KK2) was
administered with tempeh flour or soy milk; three treatment groups (KP1, KP2,
KP3) were administered with tempeh flour or soy milk added with fortificant

"Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian madu PS (Pollen substitute) terhadap penurunan konsentrasi kolesterol total plasma darah tikus putih jantan. Dua puluh empat ekor tikus putih jantan dibagi dalam 4 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol normal (KK1) yang hanya diberi akuades, kelompok kontrol perlakuan (KK2) yang diberi diet lemak tinggi dan akuades, dan 2 kelompok perlakuan (KP1 dan KP2) yang diberi diet lemak tinggi, Propylthiouracil (PTU) dan madu PS dengan konsentrasi berturut-turut 10% dan 20%. Bahan uji diberikan setiap hari selama 14 hari. Pengambilan darah dilakukan pada hari ke-0 (T0) dan hari ke-14 (T14). Analisis konsentrasi kolesterol total dilakukan dengan metode Cholesterol Oxidase Para Aminophenazone (CHOD-PAP).
Hasil uji anova satu faktor (P<0,05) pada akhir penelitan menunjukkan adanya pengaruh nyata pemberian madu PS terhadap konsentrasi kolesterol total pada semua kelompok perlakuan. Hasil uji LSD (P<0,05) menunjukkan penurunan kolesterol total pada seluruh kelompok perlakuan (KP1 dan KP2). Penurunan konsentrasi kolesterol total terbesar dicapai oleh kelompok perlakuan konsentrasi 20% (KP2) dengan persentase penurunan mencapai 16,22% dibandingkan terhadap KK2. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian madu PS dapat menurunkan konsentrasi kolesterol total secara signifikan.

The study was undertaken to assess the effect of pollen substitute (PS) honey on blood total cholesterol concentration of Sprague Dawley rats (Rattus norvegicus L.). Twenty four rats were divided into four treatment groups, consisting of a normal control group (KK1) which had no high lipid diet treatment; a treatment control group (KK2); which was fed with a high lipid diet only; and two treatment groups (KP1 and KP2) which were fed .with a high lipid diet, Propylthiouracil (PTU), and PS honey at different concentrations, 10% and 20% respectively, for 14 consecutive days. The treatment was carried out by gavage method. The concentrations of blood total cholesterol were analyzed with Cholesterol Oxidase Para Aminophenazone (CHOD-PAP) method.
One way anova test (P<0,05) showed that blood total cholesterol concentrations decreased significantly. LSD test (P<0,05) showed that the decreased blood total cholesterol concentration occurred at both treatment groups (KP1 and KP2). The concentration of blood total cholesterol reduced into the normal range. Even though the reducing effect of PS honey was showed at both doses of 10% and 20%, the more prominent result was gained by the later one. It is concluded that feeding with PS honey significantly lowered blood total cholesterol concentration.

Hasil uji paired-samples T test (P < 0,05) menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang nyata kadar zat besi semua kelompok perlakuan pada t14 dan t21. Peningkatan kadar zat besi tertinggi terjadi pada KP3, yaitu sebesar 53,18 % di t14.

All of the five groups were treated for 21 consecutive days. The plasma iron concentration was measured by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). One way ANAVA test ( P < 0,05) showed significant effect of fortificant NaFeEDTA inserted in tofu flour intake on plasma iron concentration in all treatment groups. LSD test (P<0,05) showed that the plasma iron concentration significantly different between KK1 towards all treatment groups and KK2 towards all treatment groups. Paired-samples T Test (P < 0,05) showed that the plasma iron concentration significantly different in all treatment groups on t14 and t­21. The higest increase of plasma iron concentration was detected on KP3 at t14, whic is 53,18 %."

"[ABSTRAK
Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui kadar kreatinin plasma tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus L.) jantan galur Sprague-Dawley setelah pemberian infusa daun sukun (Artocarpus altilis). Sebanyak 30 ekor tikus dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok, yaitu 2 kelompok kontrol dan 4 kelompok perlakuan yang diinduksi CCl4 kemudian diberikan infusa daun sukun dengan dosis 1,35; 2,7; 5,4; dan 10,8 g/kg BB. Uji kualitatif pada infusa daun sukun menunjukkan bahwa infusa daun sukun memiliki aktivitas antioksidan serta mengandung senyawa alkaloid dan flavonoid. Infusa diberikan sebanyak empat kali dengan selang waktu 12 jam. Pengambilan darah dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali, yaitu sebelum perlakuan, 12 jam setelah induksi CCl4, dan satu jam setelah pemberian infusa terakhir. Analisis sampel darah dilakukan menggunakan metode kolorimetri. Induksi CCl4 berhasil meningkatkan kadar kreatinin plasma tikus di atas batas normal. Rerata kadar kreatinin plasma tikus setelah pemberian infusa terakhir yaitu KK1 (0,80 0,11); KK2 (1,44 0,21); KP1 (1,12 0,42); KP2 (0,76 0,40); KP3 (0,56 0,06); dan KP4 (0,76 0,17). Uji LSD (P<0,05) menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara KK2 dengan KK1, KP2, KP3, dan KP4. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pemberian infusa daun sukun dengan dosis 2,7; 5,4; dan 10,8 g/kg BB berpengaruh terhadap kadar kreatinin plasma tikus.

The present study was aim to assess plasma creatinine levels of male albino Sprague-Dawley rats (Rattus norvegicus L.) after breadfruit leaf (Artocarpus altilis) infusion intake. Thirty male rats were devided into six groups, consisting of two control group and four treatment groups CCl4-induced and were given breadfruit leaves infusion at concentration dose of 1,35; 2,7; 5,4; and 10,8 g/kg body weight, respectively. Qualitative test of breadfruit leaves infusion showed that it has antioxidant activity and positively contains alkaloid and flavonoid. Breadfruit leaves infusion were given orally and administered four times, with an interval of twelve hours. Plasma creatinine levels were measured three times, before treatment; 12 hours after CCl4-induced; and 1 hour after the last breadfruit infusion intake using colorimetric method. Plasma creatinine levels was elevated above the upper limits of normal after CCl4-induced. Mean of plasma kreatinine levels of the last analysis: KK1 (0,80 0,11); KK2 (1,44 0,21); KP1 (1,12 0,42); KP2 (0,76 0,40); KP3 (0,56 0,06); and KP4 (0,76 0,17) mg/dl. Hasil uji ANAVA satu arah dan uji LSD P < 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa setelah pemberian perlakuan selama 21 hari berturut-turut, terdapat perbedaan kadar hemoglobin yang nyata antara seluruh kelompok perlakuan KP 1, KP 2 dan KP 3 terhadap kadar hemoglobin KK 1 dan perbedaan kadar hemoglobin yang nyata antara KP 2 dan KP 3 terhadap kadar hemoglobin KK 2. Peningkatan kadar hemoglobin tertinggi terjadi pada KP 2, yaitu 10,84 terhadap KK 1; dan 9,28 terhadap KK 2.

Treatment control group KK 2 was administered with soymilk without fortificant, and three treatment groups which were administered with soymilk added with NaFeEDTA fortificant 2.7 mg Fe kgbw KP 1 5.4 mg Fe kgbw KP 2 and 10.8 mg Fe kgbw KP 3 . All of the five groups were treated for 21 days consecutively. Measurement of rat blood hemoglobin levels uses the hematology analyzer. One way ANOVA test and post hoc LSD test P 0.05 showed that after 21 days of consecutive treatment, there was a significant effect on blood hemoglobin levels in all treatment groups KP 1, KP 2, and KP 3 compared to KP 1 and a significant effect on blood hemoglobin levels in KP 2 and KP 3 compared to KK 2. The highest increase of blood hemoglobin levels was detected on KP 2 which is 10.84 to KK 1 and 9.28 to KK 2."

"Buah Leunca (Solanum nigrum L.) adalah salah satu tanaman obat Indonesia yang dikenal memiliki aktivitas sebagai antidisentri, antiinflamasi, dan fitoestrogen. Kandungan kimia buah leunca antara lain diosgenin, solanin, solamargin, dan chaconine. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian ekstrak etanol buah leunca (Solanum nigrum L.) terhadap pengurangan kerapuhan tulang pada tikus betina galur Sprague-Dawley. Tiga puluh ekor tikus dibagi dalam 6 kelompok terdiri atas kelompok kontrol normal, kelompok ovariektomi (OVX), kelompok OVX-tamoxifen dosis 1,8 mg/kg bb, dan 3 kelompok OVX-ekstrak etanol buah leunca dosis 150 mg/kg bb, 300 mg/kg bb, dan 600 mg/kg bb. Bahan uji diberikan selama 12 minggu berturut-turut. Parameter yang diamati adalah kadar kalsium dan alkalin fosfatase (ALP) darah serta histologi tulang femur.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mulai dosis 300 mg/kg bb terjadi peningkatan densitas dan ketebalan trabekula tulang femur yang bermakna (α < 0,05) bila dibandingkan kontrol ovariektomi dan setara dengan kontrol normal. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pemberian ekstrak etanol buah leunca memiliki potensi mengurangi kerapuhan tulang.

Black Nightshade fruit (Solanum nigrum L.) is one of Indonesian medicinal plant which known showing many activities such as antidisentry, antiinflamation, and also as phytoestrogen. Black Nightshade fruit contains diosgenin, solanine, solamargine, and chaconine. This research was conduct to investigate the effect of ethanolic extract of black nightshade fruit (Solanum nigrum L.) on ovariectomized rats bone loss. Thirty-3-months-old female rats Sprague-Dawley strain were randomly divided into six groups, namely 3 control groups and 3 treatment groups. The control groups consist of normal group, ovariectomized (ovx) group, and ovx group treating with tamoxifen 1,8 mg/kg bb. The treatment groups consist of the ovx group treating with ethanolic extract of black nightshade fruit dose of 150 mg/kg bb, 300 mg/kg bb, and 600 mg/kg bb. The treatment done every day for 12 weeks.
The result showed that start on 300 mg/kg bb, ethanolic extract of black nightshade fruit increased significantly (α < 0,05) the density and thickness of trabecular of femur bone. We can conclude that ethanolic extract of black nightshade fruit has potentially effect to decrease bone loss."

"Penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian madu PS (Pollen Substitute) terhadap konsentrasi High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) dan Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) dalam plasma darah tikus yang diberi diet tinggi lemak. Dua puluh empat ekor tikus dibagi dalam 4 kelompok, terdiri atas kelompok kontrol normal yang diberi pakan standar (KK1), kelompok kontrol perlakuan yang diberi diet tinggi lemak (KK2), dan kelompok perlakuan yang diberi diet tinggi lemak serta larutan madu PS dengan dua konsentrasi larutan berturut-turut yaitu 10% dan 20% (KP1 dan KP2). Bahan uji diberikan setiap hari selama 14 hari berturut-turut. Pengambilan darah dilakukan pada hari ke-0 (T0) dan ke-14 (T14), kemudian dilakukan analisis konsentrasi HDL-LDL berdasarkan metode Cholesterol Oxidase-Phenol Amino Phenazone (CHOD-PAP).
Hasil uji Kruskal-Wallis (P > 0,05) untuk konsentrasi HDL menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan nyata antar rerata kelompok perlakuan. Sedangkan, hasil uji Anava (P< 0,05) untuk konsentrasi LDL menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan efek pemberian madu PS terhadap penurunakonsentrasi LDL dan peningkatan konsentrasi HDL plasma.

The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of PS Honey intake on plasma High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) and Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) concentrations in male Sprague-Dawley rats fed with hyperlipidemic diets. Twenty-four male rats were divided into 4 groups, consisting of normal control group (KK1) fed with standard diets, treatment control group fed with high fat diets (KK2), and treatment group fed with high fat diets and PS honey solution in different concentration, 10% and 20% (KP1 and KP2) respectively. Treatment was given orally and administered daily for 14 consecutive days. HDL and LDL levels were measured at day 0 (T0) and day 14 (T14) using Cholesterol Oxidase- Phenol Amino Phenazone (CHOD-PAP) method.
Kruskal-Wallis test results (P >0,05) showed no significant effect of treatment on HDL concentration. Anova test results (P < 0,05) showed a significant effect of treatment on LDL. The results demonstrated the potential beneficiary effect of dietary PS Honey in lowering LDL and increasing HDL plasma consentrations.
